@Joyfultoad you could t be more wrong. My son caught hi. A few times online playing Mario Kart on 3DS. My son is a beast on that game, he never comes in anywhere other than first place. Unless he is playing Reggie. The man could race better than anyone I’ve ever seen. If you ever catch him online you will see that he spends a lot of time honing his skills.
And yes d know it was him. His name was his full name and it had the special characters around it signifying he was a Nintendo employee.
@Moshugan agreed. They absolutely need sharing on the user made content. This could be the Mario Maker of vr. Without it, this is just a little peek into a world that could be soo much bigger.
When/if they allow this, or have more games (Mario Kart, Pokemon Snap, etc) supported, I will get mine.
@SwitchForce um, sorry but no. Whee doyou even get that fto km? 100Gbit? We can do it now easily with a 45Mbit connection. The problem isn’t the throughput, it is latency. And 5G has latency lower than a human can detect.
Right now is actually the perfect time for someone to take a shot at game streaming.
I think it is a really great idea. This is simply testing the water for them. If it sticks I’d expect the often rumored Switch Pro to support at least 1080p and has vr in mind from the start.
Labo is really a great way to do this, just like phones started with cardboard before going full on headsets.
@BionicDodo ugh, saying that an ip needs to grow with the original kid fans 20 years ago is the same old Star Wars argument.
There are still kids in the world, and they will be playing this game for the first time. Have Mario or Zelda “grown up” too? No, they are what they are. If you’ve aged out (by aged I don’t mean your number of revolutions around the sun) then there are plenty of mature (usually meaning spending compute cycles on adding lots of blood and guts) games to be played.
@Kai_ not really a good time to do something new for the first non-mobile only game. Wait until the next one, gen 9. That is the one that we should expect to be something different.
Of course, the Let’s Go games were something different, but everyone hated them, right?
Wolf in The Legend Of Zelda, both with the Wii U remake and Breath Of The Wild is the best use of Amiibo. Having hearts in one game earned in another was cool. Hoping for more features like this. Don’t recall many whiners complaining about that one like they do with so many other features they’ve tried.
@ALinkttPresent not really. Most often people don’t announce where they are going. He may not want Juntendo to know, or he may not want us to know. He may be going somewhere that will no longer be customer facing. Or he may going to work on something secretive. Or a competitor. All are reasons that it is common to not announce where one is going.
@PolarExperience yeah I know. Just wishful thinking. I just think the game is too good to not be on something with controllers. Hopeful for a Switch version or sequel.
Love that this is zoomed in further than most platformers, like Ghosts N Goblins. This game really interests me more than most retro style games, think this may be a day 1 for me.
@John_Deacon I know the history of the series. You can refer to reviews of the latest incarnation to see that there has been a marked improvement in quality that should dissipate any hatred (or at least let you just ignore this game) since the old days.
Here is a secret in the industry (or well, anything being sold)- enough people bought the last one to warrant more. Guess someone out there liked it.
If so, it is shocking to me that there is no one from Arms. I really hope that up isn’t dead. Sure it wasn’t perfect, but with some improvements in a sequel it could really be something.
Hoping for the best. It is such a magical place for children and fun for adults too.
I always liked the cards and little toys of game and other characters that you just couldn’t find anywhere else.
I always thought TRU was really expensive until I started going back there with my kids, but they always had really good deals. They need to make sure to advertise their prices better than just dead newspapers.
This is great news! All of those people whose lives were destroyed because they wouldn’t get to see it last week are ok now! Who cares about what happened in Japan, right?
@iLikeUrAttitude because it is fun primarily. People are playing now again because it is finally getting the features it should have had at launch. Only directly battling people is left to add of the required features. Also because of the linkage to the Switch games coming out.

@GoPirate the answer about more Star Fox content is literally in the article.

Re: 3D Realms To Release Wrath: Aeon Of Ruin On Switch, A Retro FPS Using Quake's Engine
@MagnaRoader if this doesn’t reach constant 60 FPS, someone is not pulling their weight with the coding 😉
Re: 3D Realms To Release Wrath: Aeon Of Ruin On Switch, A Retro FPS Using Quake's Engine
The original Quake was always my favorite s game is kind of dark isnt it?
Re: Solve Physics-Based Puzzles And Make Your Own Moldable Worlds In Claybook, On Switch Next Month
Looks interesting, but the clay looks like it would feel more like water. Would be interested if it felt more solid. Like clay.
Re: Nintendo Download: 7th March (North America)
Glad to see fewer eshop releases. Maybe Nintendo is clamping down on crap?
Re: Video: Fan Creates Touching Speed Drawing In Tribute Of Nintendo's Reggie Fils-Aimé
That. Was. Amazing.
Re: Poll Confirms That Sobble Is The Most Popular Pokémon Sword And Shield Starter
Scorbunny for me. Though I do like the sobbing (sobbing bubble=Sobble) would keep me laughing.

Re: Pokémon Sword And Shield Revealed For Nintendo Switch, New Starters Shown
@-Juice- how do you see them catering to casual players instead of more hardcore players from that video? I don’t see it at all.
Of course the full depth isn’t shown, it is a first trailer. We will learn much more at E3.
Re: Pokémon Sword And Shield Revealed For Nintendo Switch, New Starters Shown
@DarthFoxMcCloud I’m with you, hoping they support the bank or some sort of transfer. Would be sad to lose 2 decades worth of Pokémon.
Re: Pokémon Direct Officially Confirmed For Tomorrow, 27th February
Shouldn’t it be 8 minutes?
Re: Rumour: Nintendo Could Make Its First VR Announcement For Switch This Year
@FlyingFoxy that is what the Switch Oro and/or Switch VR Edition is for. High enough resolution.

Re: Damon Baker Joins The Xbox Team
@mikegamer because an high ranking and customer facing employee from one game console maker left one company for a competing game console company.
Re: Rumour: Metroid Prime Trilogy For Nintendo Switch Is Ready To Be Released
@MH4 it’d be hidef assets for the Switch. So much bigger.

Re: Nintendo Download: 20th December (North America)
Thank god nothing for me today. I’ll never catch up to my current backlog.
Re: Nintendo Download: 13th December (North America)
2 Atari games are the retail releases for a Nintendo console this week. I really can’t figure out this world.
Re: The Switch Is Getting Its Very Own Santa Tracker For Christmas
Really think this is clever usage of the Switch. Hope they do more seasonal and weird non-game things.
Re: Get Over Here! It Looks Like Mortal Kombat 11 Is Switch Bound
Calling it now. Scorpion/Sub-Zero/Raiden. One of these will be dlc for Smash.

Re: Capcom Is Working On A Mystery Game That Will Surprise Fans
@BanjoPickles serious question, why is Viewtiful Joe complicated? Are there ownership issues?
Re: TIME Recognises Nintendo Labo As One Of The Best Inventions of 2018
@The_Legged_One the software really not bring fully fleshed out, at least as far as the gaming side, really holds it back.
Re: The Pokémon Company Appears To Be Developing A New Mobile Title
@Aozz101x Rumble just might work. But wish they would add controller support, ie Dragalia’s Lost.
Re: Random: Masahiro Sakurai Immortalised As A Super Smash Bros. Ultimate amiibo
Must happen. Costumes change to Iwata, Myamoto and Iwata.

A very wide variety with some quality stuff in there. Lots for me this week!

Re: Bubsy The Bobcat Brings His Next Adventure To The Nintendo Switch In 2019
Don’t understand the hate for this. I mean, it isn’t even out yet.
The previous game looked like a decent entry and I am certainly ready to give this game a try.

@DarthFoxMcCloud at this point, with regards to the Let’s Go games, PoGo is now the successor to the Pokewalker.

@marandahir yes, your data is stored on their servers with your account. Not on your device. Safe to uninstall and reinstall.
Re: Ultimate Fishing Simulator Reels In A Release On Switch In Q1 2019
Getting games like this is really a sign of success. You gave enough consoles sold for very niche markets.
To those of you almost secretly wanting this game, go for it! You are the niche, enjoy it!
Re: Xenon Racer Brings High-Speed Arcade Fun To The Nintendo Switch

My God, some of you just really suck.

@sikthvash still cheaper than 2memberships. Who cares if it allows more? Just take the savings and forget how many you “can” have.
Re: Fans' Passion For Waluigi's Smash Exclusion Is "Fantastic", Says Nintendo's Andrew Collins
@NewAdvent very little character? Are you kidding me?
Re: My Brother Rabbit Will Bring Its Heartwarming Adventure To Switch On 21st September
Looks nice but the morose music doesn’t seem to fit the imagination part. I hope it isn’t all like that. Hope that is in the upcoming review.

Pikmin announcement in the delayed direct, I’m calling it!

Really wish Tokai Watch Blasters was on Switch. I’ll get it but don’t know if I’ll ever go back to the 3ds. Definitely my last game for it.
Re: Rumour: Yet Another Nintendo Direct To Air Tomorrow, Switch Online Details Incoming?
@PlayedNSlayed that’s cool man, we do t all have the same tastes. I bet there will be some Wii U ports (NSMB) and some 3rd

Do you play JRPGs? I’d imagine there will be some of that in there and maybe even some info about that amazing looking Nintendo mech game.
