Re: Rumour: Yet Another Nintendo Direct To Air Tomorrow, Switch Online Details Incoming?

Dysnomia

@PlayedNSlayed that is a +1 for Doom Eternal for me. It would be more surprising if it doesn’t release for than the Switch than if it does in my thoughts.

You should really try Smash though. Especially with the story mode (supposedly at least, the Spirits rumor).

You can adjust the computer player skill and fighting Amiibos and training them is a blast too. Teach then to jump off the platforms or only block or to just stand there. Tons of fun.

Re: Nintendo Says There Are More Updates Coming To Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

Dysnomia

Sounds like a lot of people have a bit of Mario Kart overexposure.

While I’m also cool with getting some dlc here and there, it would be really cool if they are actually working on Smash Kart.

Honestly, I think Mario Kart as we know it is done. They went too far into a Smash direction with the doc. Just like Mario Party has morphed into Super Mario Party, I’d bet the Kart game does something different after 8, and Likewise Smash morphs into something different after Ultimate.

Re: Talking Point: Nintendo's E3 2018 Went Big On Smash Bros. But Left Us Wanting More

Dysnomia

@thesilverbrick you are saying that because you keep saying Nintendo themselves need to release more games when in fact we just need more games.

Again, doesn’t matter who they are from. You can be sure Bi tendon has resources on ports. And their output is now fully fleshed out. Fewer first party games that have tons of co tent is far better than more with less. Just a full schedule regardless of who they are from is what we need.

The more non first party games the better. It gets more than just the hardcore Nintendo fans buying Switches.

Re: Talking Point: Nintendo's E3 2018 Went Big On Smash Bros. But Left Us Wanting More

Dysnomia

@thesilverbrick yeah, it that is the point. Instead of putting out games with very few features because they are having to release every game on the console themselves (Wii U Tennis? Animal Crossing Amiibo Festival?), they are releasing fewer games with tins of content. They are allowed that luxury because 2nd and 3rd party games are also being released and filling in the schedule.

Again, who cares if it is 1st, 2nd or 3rd party? You still haven’t answered that. If it is a fun game, it is a fun game. Nintendo should not be releasing the only games. That is why the Wii U failed.

Re: Talking Point: Nintendo's E3 2018 Went Big On Smash Bros. But Left Us Wanting More

Dysnomia

@thesilverbrick and why does it matter if it is 1st, 2nd or 3rd party? You can be certain Nintendo is certainly working with them on this, and it wouldn’t be surprising if this is considered 2nd party and Nintendo owns the ip.

We always complain that we get no third parties, but then complain Nintendo doesn’t give us their monthly huge title. Why not be satisfied with a combination of both?

Re: Nintendo Plans To Go Big With Super Smash Bros. For Switch At E3 This Year

Dysnomia

@NewAdvent Hmm, I went back and looked at the headline and the article again and I didn’t see that.

it is the biggest already known game. Do you mind cutting and pasting the part about it being the “big thing” at E3?

Booth decoration doesn’t equate to “big thing.”

For instance, last year was decorated with Odyssee, but wasn’t Metroid the “big thing” announced last year? Not to mention many other big announcements?

Isn’t the expected “big thing” this year at least rumored to be Pokemon 8th gen and/or Metroid gameplay?

I think you can stop worrying and just enjoy. There will be something big so they can sell the 20 million Switches this year. It doesn’t rest solely on Smash. No one is deluded enough to think that.

Re: Kirby Star Allies Sets A New Series Sales Record

Dysnomia

@Spoony_Tech sales of a console and sales of a game sure seems like different topics to me. I mean, if you only want 1 article for “sales,” then why not do 1 “games announced” article and 1 “games review” article?

Plus more posts help the website serve more ads, which means more revenue, which means the website stays up for you to complain on 😉
