Re: Nintendo Switch Won't Have Miiverse Or StreetPass

Dysnomia

@Slim1999 not really, not at all. In fact I've already created a new account, it is Nin_Dysnomia. Kind of cool having all of my Nintendo news over there and all of my other interests on my main account. I am actually really excited about it now.

Re: First Impressions: Going Hand-to-Hand With ARMS

Dysnomia

I know this may sound silly, but even having a crazy nonsensical story mode like DOA or MK would also be fun. Gives you a reason to keep going and see the story. Plus even though the characters seems pretty generic, a good bit of personality to them sure wouldn't hurt.

Re: Nintendo Switch Won't Have Miiverse Or StreetPass

Dysnomia

I'm not going to fill my Facebook or Twitter accounts with a bunch of Nintendo posts that no one I know would care about. I want Miiverse. Even asking changes to Miitomo to make that a Miiverse replacement is ok.

If this is true I'm going to have to create new Faceboom and Twitter accounts for znintendo related stuff. What a stupid thing they are doing.

As for dropping Street Pass because this is a home console first, that just ,ales no sense whatsoever. This console is both. Nintendo need to let their customers decide if it is mobile or home first. Removing features to dictate which it is truely is a black eye on the company and product.

Re: Nintendo Introduces ARMS, a New Boxing IP

Dysnomia

I thought this was stupid last night. But wow, after the ztreehouse demo, I can't wait to get my Hands on Arms. It really looks like the first new take on fighters since I played SF 2. Maybe 3D space movement was a big change, but this leap looks really huge. It actually looks surprisingly deep too, last night it looked like a mini game tacked on to a real game.

Wish they had named the characters instead of just being named whatever characteristics they possess. Would make for at least a nonsensical story mode no less bad than any other fighting game.

As it is, balloon head and scissor legs or whatever would just be annoying to hear or read in a story mode. Those names are better than the real ones in the game btw.

Re: Nintendo Switch to Introduce Paid Online Service in Autumn / Fall

Dysnomia

If they are going to charge money now then they are under the gun. No obtuse friend system, voice chat everywhere (which I hate and would want system wife disabling of, but still must be there), free games monthly, real discounts for having a membership, all of these things are no longer for Nintendo to provide to us.

And it had better be there day one, so we get addicted to it all before the trial period expires and we absolutely love it and are ok with paying for it.

Re: Nintendo Introduces ARMS, a New Boxing IP

Dysnomia

Initially thought it looked bad. But then I started thinking about online play, that could really be bonkers. Especially with the haptic like feedback. Not a full price game at all, to be sure, but could be a cool little 30 dollar game or so.

Unfortunately it is looking like it will be full price according to current preorder listings.

Re: Feature: Experiencing Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses & Pokémon: Symphonic Evolutions

Dysnomia

I have been to both as well. In fact I saw Pokémon zevolutions last Saturday! I'm afraid my experience was much better, and quite frankly wholly different than yours. I saw them each at the same concert hall, and it was the same orchestra.

Both were just as big, grand and large as one another. In fact, I easily preferred the Pokémon shoe, though that could just be because I saw it a couple of days ago vs. 18 or so months ago for Zelda.

However, I can certainly saw that the shows were completely different from the way that you describe it, and I did not see any missing opportunities.

Re: Pokémon Reorchestrated Has Its YouTube Channel Taken Down Due to Third Copyright Strike

@Kirk Yes I know these things. No I don't like it. However, breaking the law does no good, it just makes them more restrictive. Changing the rules through legal means is the way to make things better.

Everyone else had responded to me with same, polite responses. Both of your replies are insulting in tone and remind me of why I hate to Post here because of the whiney and, selfish and that Nintendo owes a debt to you (remember that everyone cried that Nintendo "only" gave club members free games?). I will go back to refraining from participating here and sticking with the welcoming crowd at Nsider2. Thank you for the reminder.

Re: Talking Point: Super Mario Maker's Update Continues Nintendo's Focus on Major Games as Services

Dysnomia

I agree to a point. You still need the smaller Mario Tennis sort of games too. Otherwise you go into the whole "there aren't very many games" mentality. While the Nintendo enthusiasts can appreciate the quality and expanding games, to get everyone else you have to have volume as well. In fact, some fans of the other onsoles don't even care about quality at all, it is all about quantity.
