For those unfamiliar with upgrade packs, it could very well download the entire Switch 2 version of the game as I believe that's what Shadow Labrynith does after you upgrade it and it essentially turns it into a Switch 2 game with the cartridge required to play it.
@Serpenterror Shouldn't the size be much bigger by comparison? I thought that when let's say the size of textures increase in quality it's not double but quadruple due to having 2 dimensions to increase (HxW)
@BenAV I totally agree that One Step from Eden and Monster Train was excluded from this and other lists need to be added as they're very good games.
Monster Train especially since I rate it more highly than Slay the Spire and it often comes up during recommendations in conjuction with Slay the Spire.
@PoopScoop I've been sort of seeing a lot of "articles" about useless things or who modded this and that, essentially crappy articles that's just overcrowding the what quality is left on this site if you can manage to shift through the junk.
It's like trying to sift through the iOS Apple store looking for quality apps because most of what's on there is garbage. That's how I feel this site has become of late.
While it looks interesting but the steam reviews leave a lot of doubt to how this is going to turn out.
If it's not optimized properly and being a base sim, it's going to really suffer badly on the console on top of all the bugs that actually need to be fixed for the version already released.
Putting aside the capture vs killing aspect as it depends on a number of factors like how tough and how many times people have been carted and what materials people are after, there's been a distinct lack of cutting off tails in a lot of the quests I join.
I've learnt the SNES controller from back when it came out and then progressed and burned Sony's layout in my memory, especially after playing years of Project Diva.
Xbox controllers are the one I have a problem with, especially when it comes to Quick time events because it's an inverted SNES button layout and also the system I practically don't play on so I don't have the memory for doing them very well.
To be honest apart from the price being too high I'd be more worried about the problems that existed when it came out in Japan and whether it's been fixed or not.
Oddly enough I played this a lot as a kid and finished it multiple times, it did take awhile to figure it all out back then but I remember that I loved it and I was playing stuff like Faxandu at the same time.
Now Simon's Quest was a whole different beast, that one was too hard for me.
I have to say when they screwed the early adopters who bought the steam version then later released a "definitive" version of Ori and the blind Forest and charged people for the upgrade, they really aren't in a position to be throwing stones at other people and studios.
@Vortexeo I watched at the trailer for Blue Fire and it doesn't do much for me despite loving Hollow Knight.
Totally different aesthetics, music style and environments not to mention the detail.
Compare the Silksong trailer to the Blue Fire trailer and watch them one after another. They invoke totally different feelings in regards to how it feels and how they play.
505 Games, they stuffed up Bloodstained and now this and apparently have fake screenshots for switch versions of games published from them that are multi platform.
@mazzel It's an awesome dub if you don't mind the British accents. The actor who plays the Shulk in English can actually do a real scream of rage during one of the scenes.
Unbreakable tools, batch crafting and less repetition of text for everything you interact with. They have a real knack for waiting time in general and need to streamline things.

Re: Nintendo Switch 2 System Update 21.0.1 Is Now Live, Here Are The Full Patch Notes
I wonder if it made any more games compatible with the Switch 2.
Re: Review: Donkey Kong Bananza: DK Island & Emerald Rush (Switch 2) - DLC That's Ripe With Fun, But Could've Been More
The cost of this dlc is attrocious, a fraction more and a week and a bit to go and you have Hades 2, a full game.
Nintendo should be ashamed to try and sell the dlc at that price.
Re: Hollow Knight: Silksong's Price Has Been Officially Announced
@sketchturner I’m a backer, free for me!
Re: Trails In The Sky 1st Chapter Switch 2 Edition 'Upgrade Pack' Confirmed

Re: Square Enix Rules Out Switch 2 "Upgrade Path" For Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake
This is disgraceful considering Shadow Labyrinth gets a free Switch 2 upgrade to get higher fps and resolution.
Re: Round Up: The Final Previews Are In For Mario Kart World
I'm not really convinced of this entry being worth it and being so much more expensive than Mario Kart 8.
Open world doesn't sound like a it's anything innovative other than being there for the sake of it.
I hope the tracks will be new and maybe some unlockables to go along with it.
Re: Switch 2 Games Cost A Bit More Than You're Probably Expecting
Mario Kart World is very expensive here in Australia, actually might be more expensive than any game I've seen on Ps5 Physically here.
Re: Feature: "If The Game Does Not Sell Well, We May Be Done" - It's Do Or Die For Too Kyo Games & 'The Hundred Line'
No physical available to me locally from shops so no buy which is a real shame.
Re: Robot City Builder 'SteamWorld Build' Lands New Physical Edition On Switch
Not touching this with a ten foot pole after they announced that they won't be releasing the DLC for Switch anymore but continuing on other platforms.
Re: Round Up: The Reviews Are In For Yakuza Kiwami (Switch)
What an odd way of justifying your review of Yakuza and cherry picking the reviews too.
As far as I’m concerned you’ve tarnished your integrity with the last 2 reviews not to mention how useless some of your no news articles are.
I’ll be looking to other websites now for guidance and news, you’re slow at it anyway so it doesn’t matter.
Re: Estimated File Sizes For Donkey Kong Country Returns HD And Mario & Luigi: Brothership Revealed

Shouldn't the size be much bigger by comparison?

Re: Review: Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes (Switch) - An Immersive JRPG With Some Real Problems
505 Games strikes again.
Exactly what happened with Bloodstained when it got released.
Re: Prince Of Persia: The Lost Crown Post-Launch Roadmap Details Future Updates And DLC
Just picked this up yesterday. I'm glad it's still getting post launch support.
Re: Square Enix Asks Fans To Consider Dragon Quest Monsters eShop Version After Physical Release Sells Out
@AmplifyMJ They did this most recently with Star Ocean 2.
Unless you preordered here, no store carried the switch physical game
Re: Nintendo Launches 'Festive Offers' Switch eShop Sale, Discounts On Over 3,000 Games (Europe)
oh FFS, I just purchased Dave the Diver 2 days ago.
Re: Hideki Kamiya Reveals Why He Left PlatinumGames
Don't forget Platinum also got dumped from Granblue Fantasy Relink.
Re: Feature: Nintendo eShop Selects - November 2023
I picked up and been playing Astral Ascent, it's so good that I can't put it down.
Re: Video: 12 Exciting Games Coming To Nintendo Switch In November 2023
Got Star Ocean as well as the physical copies are out of stock and rare already.
Have Mario Rpg preordered and I’ll be keeping an eye out on Persona Tactica to see how that one turns out.
Re: UK Charts: Mario Wonder Soars As WarioWare Lands With A Whimper
Star Ocean 2nd R is next to impossible to find physically here in Australia unless you preordered it.
Can't get the switch version at all in the normal stores and there aren't too many PS5 versions around either but it's still getable at the moment.
Re: Unity's CEO And President Retires After Policy Debacle
They need to sack the board as well, not to just let the scapegoat run free from this
Re: Best Nintendo Switch Roguelikes, Roguelites And Run-Based Games

Monster Train especially since I rate it more highly than Slay the Spire and it often comes up during recommendations in conjuction with Slay the Spire.
Re: Picross S9 Brings New Rewind Feature To The Picture Puzzle Series This Week
@KoopaTheGamer
Would it really make a difference if it was 9 games or 1 game with 8 DLC?
That's also assuming the content in 1 game = the same content amount in the DLC
I'll take whatever is bigger and also have improvements built into it.
Re: Review: Dead Cells: Return To Castlevania - An Intense, Brilliant Nostalgia Trip To Dracula's Castle
The review also failed to mention that you can change the soundtrack of Dead Cells to a Castlevania soundtrack for every single stage in the game.
Re: Fire Emblem Engage Gets A Nine Minute Overview Trailer
@Ralizah The cutscenes are pre-redended.
Source: Digital Foundry preview analysis.
Re: Hands On: Fire Emblem Engage Is Surprisingly Fast-Paced And Delightfully Deep
Don't know if you're taking questions but are there any battle camera options?
Re: Video: Do You Own A Video Game So Rare That You Can Never Actually Play It?
I’ve got Panzer Dragoon Saga and an imported version of Radiant Silvergun on the Saturn.
Also not quite there yet but Fire Emblem Fate Revelations on a cart. When the Eshop closes I’m sure it’ll be especially rare.
Re: Square Enix's Upcoming Release 'The DioField Chronicle' Rated By ESRB
This probably has more in common with Growlanser than it does Fire Emblem, especially with the way movement on the map is handled.

Re: Does Your Copy Of Pokémon Omega Ruby And Alpha Sapphire Still Work?
My PAL copy of Alpha Sapphire still works.
Re: Rumour: Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot Could Be Switch-Bound, According To New Leak
@Ephralance Funny, I stopped on Xillia 2 as well. I think having the first ever non voiced protagonist in a Tales game really killed it for me.
Re: PSA: You Should Be More Of A Vicious Killer In Monster Hunter Rise

Re: Octopath Traveler Is No Longer A Nintendo Switch Console Exclusive
More exposure to more people is a good thing. Hopefully might mean we'll get another game in the series or more rpgs.
Re: No More Heroes 1 & 2 Physical Releases Announced For Switch, Pre-Orders Are Now Live
@Snatcher I hate them too, paying the full cost in advance and shipping costs are expensive too.
Re: Panzer Dragoon II Zwei: Remake Takes Flight This Year
@electrolite77 If they're going to do Shining Force 3 they need to do all 3 scenarios else it's not worth having.

@thesilverbrick That Omnislash is the version used in The Advent Children movie.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (December 5th)
Hmm played some Until You Fall, apart from that some Picross 3 in spare moments and Diablo 3 to get the seasonal stuff done.

Re: Reminder: Nintendo's Huge Digital Switch Sale Ends This Weekend, Over 350 Games Discounted (Europe)
I grabbed Flashback, thinking about getting Mark of the Ninja and Fight 'n Rage as well.
Re: Poll: Which Remastered Mario Games Would You Pick For A 'Super Mario All-Stars 2'?
I want the 2 galaxy games to be remastered but no mention of Paper Mario: The Thousand year door? I'd go for that too.

Dodgy AF
Re: Gallery: Nintendo Website Shares Brand New Screenshots Of Xenoblade Chronicles: Future Connected
@mazzel It's an awesome dub if you don't mind the British accents.
The actor who plays the Shulk in English can actually do a real scream of rage during one of the scenes.
Re: Feature: The Best Nintendo Switch Music And Rhythm Games
Another one you guys seemed to have missed is Muse Dash.
Re: Harry Potter-Style Wizard RPG Witchbrook Gets A Fresh Look, And It's Pretty Magic
There's so much detail in those screens. First thing I noticed. Looks awesome.

Makes me want to go back to Rune Factory 4.
