@FarkyValentine While not all of them are good, without Kickstarter we wouldn't have seen the original Shovel knight and Hollow Knight made into reality.
i traded my original copy in since I could get the value back at the same price I bought it.
That DLC add on price is over 3/4 of the price of the retail version if you buy the Final Battle bundle together here in Australia. I was honestly shocked how they could price the add on like that.
At worst it should have been less than half the price of the retail bundle.
It's $75 AUD for the expansion by itself if you own the original AOT 2. A retail copy with it bundled from JB Hifi is $89 AUD.
I've played this on PC, seeing the footage of the switch version made it look like someone smeared vaseline all over the screen.
it's really quite disappointing that it's turned out like this and to think they'd release it in this state speaks volumes of either the publishers or the devs.
Did they even have their glasses on while they were QAing to let it pass like that?
@Dakotastomp I won't be touching it with a 10 foot pole. If something as blatant as Sonic's representation being stuffed up and it took an outcry for a remedy, the script would probably be trash as well.
@Darknyht Oh no, I agree as well. I meant overall including both AAA studios and also Indies. If the quality's there from either party then it's deserved.
Games Workshop was just interesting in farming out their IPs for money which resulted in many lackluster games from a variety of studios.
I'm honestly very excited for Cadence and want it to do well.
I want Nintendo to be real picky about who they lend their IP to. After seeing how badly Warhammer 40k and normal Warhammer got farmed out and having most of them be bombs of games, it would really hurt to see really bad classical IPs be treated that way.
I lost an entire evening playing this little gem. Well worth the price I say and I like the aesthetics, reminds me of the earlier Front Mission models on the grid.
Don't mind the random nature of the missions, just like Xcom missions, randomly placed enemies. Not sure it's right to call anything with a random nature a roguelite, seems almost just to be used like a slur or negative aspect of a game these days.
I don't think they need to mention that Castle Storm is free to play on iOS because the Steam version came out before it which would make it the original version.
I don’t trust NWR either having read their reviews. They let their personal bias infect their reviews, docking points for genres of music they don’t like and the such.
The framedrops occured when there was heavy use of fire traps or a particular spell that one of the bosses had. I found it was linked to the screen shake, which could be disabled.
Apart from that there was a case of micro stuttering due to a memory leak which was easily remedied by closing the game and restarting it after a couple of hours.
Since the patch has just dropped it could have fixed up a bunch of those issues, I haven't tested it out since the patch dropped but it's still a ripping good game.
@kobashi100 Depends if they do it like with the recent Project Diva releases for PS4. I've had to import my controllers for it even with physical/digital releases so we might not get the drum.
I hate how NISA treats a lot of the games they release. Usually got some major problems leading to game ending crashes.
Ar Tonelica 2 was one I'll never forgot, untranslated text, a hard crash at a boss fight that someone from the public actually managed to fix.
This didn't start today with NISA, this goes all the way back to PS2 generation games and that's not even counting how badly they translate all the games they've handled.
Wish they didn't take this from XSeed as they show so much more care and love for Ys.
Interesting that this article popped up. I was browsing around the Blackhole forums on steam and they got turned down by Nintendo as well. Apparently their game was too old according to the devs.
I know BotW can be polarizing because it departed from its traditional form, even though I didn't like it too much I don't have a problem with the award won but I don't think it deserved the audio award.
So many other games released that had far better audio, Nier, Persona 5, even Horizon. Not sure how it won that particular award.
Thanks, I actually own it on Steam but I wasn't quite sure how well it'd transfer to the Switch in handheld mode as that's how I mainly use it these days.
@Agramonte Well that's true but if you do like the majority of what's in the packs overall it'll still end up cheaper.
Obviously if you don't like the majority of the song packs you're not going to buy them or see the worth in them then getting it on a mobile platform might be the better preference.
@Agramonte By the time you buy either the historical pack + 4 packs or 7 of the song packs, you've basically just paid the same amount that it'd cost for the switch version.
There's like 30 odd song packs on the ios version.

Re: Review: Lucah: Born Of A Dream - Look Past Those Divisive Visuals And You'll Find A Fine RPG
I need a better review for this. Dom I feel tends to be light on details in his reviews. There's always something that feels like it's missing.
There's mention of the word RPG but with a hack and slash action game, what makes it an RPG? What systems are in place? Can you level up?

@LordVal Same here. X-Morph Defense for me
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (February 23rd)
Playing some X-Morph mixed with some God Eater 3 and Air Combat 7 on PS4. Too many juggling of games.

Re: Datamined Logo Provides Further Evidence For Western Taiko Drum Master Release
I almost bit the bullet with getting the drum kit with the game but I wasn't quite sure how I was going to deal with the dlc.
If a localised version does come out, hope we get the same set of songs and dlc.

Re: Super Neptunia RPG Brings Side-Scrolling Dungeons And Turn-Based Battles To Switch
I wonder how liberal the turn based combat will be.
I haven't seen footage yet or don't know if any is available but it could turn out to be a Valkyrie Profile like game.
Re: Review: Wizard Of Legend (Switch eShop)
Read a couple reviews myself. This review doesn't reflect a score of 7 in my opinion.
Some other reviews complained of too many choices. God forbid that they have a choice when it easily could have been nothing to choose from.
Complaining for the sake of complaining or lowering scores for no valid reasons really devalue reviews.
Re: Tactical RPG Banner Of The Maid Is Coming To Switch
Can't help but feel that it was a pretty empty trailer, it was sort of like advertising for a mobile game.
Was hoping to see some character models on those maps they were flashing around.
Re: Sega Teases "Huge Announcement" To Be Revealed Tomorrow
A traditional Shining Force game like the original trilogy.
Ah who am I kidding, that'll never happen.

Looking like Dragon Blaze for me this week.
Umming and ahhing about Regalia at the moment. Hearing about some UI awkwardness with it.
Re: Nintendo Download: 29th March (Europe)
@Spectra I agree with you. It'll need a very deep discount before I touch it. It's Atlus at it's very worst again.
Edit: spelling mistake
Re: Hyper Light Drifter Is Coming To The Switch This Summer
@terry93 This is one game I've been waiting for to get a Switch port despite owning it on PC.
It really should have been part of the showcase.

Also waiting for Hollow Knight.

Re: Deals: UK Switch Owners Can Now Pre-Order The Bayonetta Special Edition With A Free Poster
@FX102A Ditto, I've got motivation of picking up the collector's edition without a physical of both 1 and 2.
Until someone can confirm if the Japanese version contains English I'm just going to give it a miss for now.
Re: Nintendo Download: 14th December (Europe)
Picked up Romancing Saga 2 and Master Blaster. Sort of umming and arring at Rocket League and Steamworld Dig 2.
Re: Crawl Will Pit Friends Against Each Other on Nintendo Switch
@8itmap_k1d
It should show the entire room/corridor that you're in while you're playing. It's just the video editing that makes it as you see.
Own it on steam for reference.

Got to love the end of the trailer.

I only ask because I was looking at some screenshots from the eshop and it seemed to strain my eyes.
