Remember last month when Bandai Namco showed a trailer of its third DLC pack for Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot and at the end of it was a Switch logo? At the time, the Bandai Namco Instagram said it was a mistake, well perhaps there might be more to it...
Adding fuel to the fire, leak group "LeakyPandy" - known for sharing industry news and rumours - is claiming it has "gathered" information that Bandai Namco will make a Kakarot announcement for the Nintendo Switch soon. Switch is also mentioned in reference to Tales of Destiny, Gundam Breaker 4 and Dark Souls "expanding further" to additional platforms.
Alongside the Switch logo last month, was one for an Xbox Series X|S release - another version that doesn't exist...
So, could Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot get a Switch release in the near future? In addition to what could be mounting evidence, Bandai Namco has also released just about every Dragon Ball game it's developed in recent times on the Switch. Kakarot also runs on the same engine as Dragon Ball FighterZ - one of the best ports on Nintendo's hybrid system.
Although nothing is official, would you like to see Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot up and running on the Switch? Comment down below.

The only reason I didn't get on ps4 is bc I'm waiting for the switch, but I might want to wait for a sale, but if there going to give you all dlc and its only 60$ then I think it might be worth it.
I'm waiting for something like We Cheer 2 Wii or sequel of Go Vacation from Bandai Namco.
Please give us Dark Souls 2 and 3 on Switch!!!!
Don't waste your time. It's cool up until the Frieza saga ends, then it drops quality like a tank
Dark Souls 2&3 on Switch are dream ports of mine, really enjoyed the first one. Really hope this is true.
Soon there will be enough Dragon Balls to really weigh my hands down, just fill them right up yep here we go.
I might triple dip on Dark Souls if this means DS2 and DS3 with their DLC are coming to Switch
My Souls stuff is mostly PlayStation-related since only that platform has Demon's Souls and Bloodborne, while I own the Dark Souls trilogy and Sekiro on PC as well, but I'd definitely be down for portable Dark Souls 3
Also totally down for Tales of Destiny remaster
I'm just gonna post my obligatory Pac-Man World trilogy port/remaster comment here, as I do every time there's Namco-related Switch news.
@KryptoniteKrunch @NESlover85 You don’t want Dark Souls 2 on Switch. Trust me. Twice was enough.
@nessisonett Yeah... dark souls 2 is... special. I don't hate it like most people do but... yeah....
Tales of destiny remaster would be nice. Genuinely surprised the only tales game we have on switch is Vesperia. Thought for sure Switch would at the very least get Berseria since it launched at the beginning of the Switch's life cycle and would have been a good 6 month/1 year late port to get the franchise established on the platform.
@Chowdaire I can’t think of a single area I like in that game. Other than Majula. And I like Sen’s Fortress.
Literally nothing LeakyPandy says has ever come to fruition outside of the blatantly obvious. He is the most obvious fake insider out there.
Topic about DBZKakarot and yet somehow it turns out about Dark Souls But none the less i would love to see both games on switch More Dark Souls but DB is welcomed as well.
Dark Souls 3... oh come on I already narrowly beat Lady Friede once... don’t make me do it again 😩
Man, that was a tough battle!
Anyway, this is exciting!
I hope these aren't "streaming" options
The game might have released in 2015 but I really want JJBA: Eyes of Heaven on the Switch.
I'd be down for a Tales of Xilia HD Remaster... I played through the first one and stopped midway in the second one and I'd love to give them another try. I'd also love to see Berseria on the Switch. Pretty good games. Dark Souls is also welcome.
I'd take Dragonball Z Kakarot over others mentioned in the above comments. Ha ha.
I know it wasn't rated as well as the other two, multi-plat., Dragonball games currently on Switch, but still, gimme... Really hope rumour is true.
I would love a Soul Calibur or Tekken on Switch.
@Not_Soos
Man those games were more fun than they had a right to be.
In regards to DBZ games, I want to see Legacy of Goku, LoG2 and Buu's Fury get remastered for the Switch. And a 4th game perhaps.
@GrailUK
Hell yeah, that would be a day one buy from me.
And if they add link in soulcalibur again like SC2 i will buy 2 copys hahah
Wasn't the game almost universally panned, though? Should we even care?
leakypandy has 0 credibillity
@Chamver just because some game journalists think its mediocre doesn’t mean you shouldn’t unless you got no interest in the franchise.
Having never played Tales of Destiny (no PAL release) I’m all up for a remaster.
Also enjoyed Gundam Breaker 3 so would go for a 4th. Also would love on the Switch as I preferred the construction phase on Vita and battling missions on PS4.
Meh. I'm a huge Dragon Ball fan who enjoyed Xenoverse 2 (especially) and FighterZ on Switch, but I played Kakarot as a rental and wasn't impressed.
The entirety of the "Dragon Ball Z" story is amazing and still amazes me to this day, but I already know the whole thing left and right, and seeing Kakarot being a retelling of that whole cornucopia is no surprise to me. Additionally, I found the battle system to be lackluster compared to even the first Xenoverse and even flying around isn't as fun or satisfying as the anime. Having an open world is neat, but not so neat when you're stopped by random generic robot enemies for some reason every so often.
Therefore, regardless of Kakarot coming to Switch, I ain't buying it.
I am dying over here, send soul calibur... cough wheeze
Really want kakarot on switch might pull me away from my xenoverse addiction, the hours I've put into that is getting ridiculous I feel like I need serious help lol
@Ephralance Funny, I stopped on Xillia 2 as well. I think having the first ever non voiced protagonist in a Tales game really killed it for me.
@PBandSmelly So long as I can chill and fish with Vegeta in his Bad Man shirt, that's all I care for!
@GrailUK Actually, yeah, Soul Calibur and Tekken. You got me on that those. I would want them more.
@Chamver No, it got a decent reception.
@PBandSmelly Why is that? Why is it good until Frieza and then suddenly it sucks?
@FX102A Yeah I really enjoyed gundam breaker 3 as well. I'd always hoped that a sequel might turn up on switch...
Tales of Arise would nice to see
Can we get Tales of Grace F on switch please
@GrailUK I thought Tekken 7 was rumored.
Kakarot is bound to come to Switch, but they are taking way too long... I don't believe it will sell very well at this point.
Man I wish they’d port some form of Tekken over to Switch. I don’t care if it was the first three games. Just something. More Dragon Ball is always appreciated too.
@liljmoore tales of arise is bigger in scope and budget. They even upgraded the graphics A LOT. Highly doubt the switch can run it properly. They should stick to their guns and skip the switch. Not everything needs to be severely downgraded on switch
A remastered of Tales of Symphonia, a new Soul Calibur, a new I-Ninja, a new Ridge Racer, and some Tekken love would be nice. Heck they could lazily just port the Wii U version of Tekken Tag Tournament 2 over the main seven games to Switch and I'll still be okay. I feel like Namco doesn't want Nintendo fans to know the story of Tekken anyways. It's a very bland story at this point and the Mishima family problem (like the McMahon in WWF) got worst.
Sounds great. It looks like I'll be able to roam around West City as Vegeta on my Switch after all. It's just a matter of time now before its officially announced.
They could've released Gundam Breaker 3: Break Edition to PC/Switch instead of leaving it on PS4/Vita. If GB4 is anything like "New Gundam Breaker" then it's DOA.
How much ya wanna bet they release it on Switch, it doesn't sell as well because it's been on other platforms for months and then they put out a statement talking about a lack of interest from Switch fans...
And in said statement make no mention of how it's been out for months on other platforms.
I had a few reasons for not buying it when it came out, but is it weird that one of those reasons was because I didn't like how the red background for the cover art didn't look good with the blue or green cases for the PS4/Xbox One versions? If so then the other reason was because I hadn't gotten into the series at the time, and now I've gotten all of Dragon Ball and the first three seasons of Dragon Ball Z under my belt. I now consider myself a fan, and I'd definitely pick up the game if it came out on the Switch.
I'm so fed up with the Z arc at this point it's hard to feel any excitement about this game, one based off the Super arc would've been way more interesting
@Heavyarms55 Fighterz and Xenoverse 2 released much later on switch and both did pretty good. Would be weird if Bamco complained now when they've brought way more niche titles to the system
@Kr96 Never stopped anyone before. :/
As a huge Dragon Ball fan I was stoked for this game, but it just kinda fell flat for me. The over world feels empty and lifeless, with not much to do besides collect orbs, and the enemy encounter rate is obnoxious as hell. The game's strongest suit is its combat but even that starts to feel repetitious after awhile. And the DBZ story line has been done to death at this point, an original narrative probably would've helped to hold my interest.
Nice game overall, definitely a good love letter to the franchise, but it lacks any kind of endgame and the DLC support was an absolute embarrassment.
For die hard DBZ Fans certainly worthwhile, although its action RPG aspects fall flat on their but because there simply isn't enough video game at the end...
