@BloodNinja Not now, but all of these acquisitions point to that direction in the future, I hope I am proven wrong but Microsoft have made it pretty clear what their intention is in terms of game pass. It's only a matter of time before others follow suit, Nintendo will take a long time for that though since they are usually last for everything but in the far future I can definitely see it happening.

Exactly what I have been saying, the future of gaming is looking bleak in my eyes, everything being bought up is not a good thing, it just becomes a contest of who purchases the most developers rather than who cultivates them. Even though it is inevitable the idea of gaming becoming like Netflix is a huge turn off to me, and if that is the direction that my hobby is going I will only be playing older systems, where for the most part aside from Nintendo, in my eyes the games were better anyway.

@kobashi100 I hope so, would be cool to have a good baseball game on Switch.

I am not sure what more they can do for the genre to be honest, other than just do it bigger and better. Games like Metroid Dread and Hollow Knight are near perfect as far as metroidvanias go.

Honestly I am shocked it isn't a cloud version, I bet there will have to be big sacrifices to have it be native on Switch.

@echelon Heck yeah, it is legitimately in the running for my favorite game of all time. It's a classic.

Graphics aren't everything to me, hence why I still consider some N64 games to look amazing at times like Jet Force Gemini, the main thing that irks me is for newer releases I expect the games to have a solid frame rate, back in the day when technology was limited I accepted the issues but nowadays with enough polish I don't think there is a reason for any game to have a dodgy frame rate, it is often just a result of bad optimization.

I wonder if this is one of those games like BOTW where players will discover small details even years after release. Probably not since Gamefreak aren't as experienced as the Zelda team at making open worlds but it would be cool if it was the case.

I love Fangamer! Can't recommend them enough, everything I have bought from there is super high quality.

I actually played this a bit when I was a kid, found it pretty though but at the time I didn't have many options for World War 2 shooters so I enjoyed it, I can't speak as to how good it actually is though, it has been too long to say.

Can't wait to experience this again on Switch, I have been waiting for this able to come back to a Nintendo platform for so long, don't get me wrong I love the Rare Replay version but I am very much looking forward to playing it on where it belongs.

I am assuming they have no plans to further patch the game because we haven't heard a word about future updates since the second round came out, I have not played the trilogy on an platform but I doubt they are truly in what we would call a finished state. If I get them at all it will be with a very heavy discount, I want to play them but I won't pay top dollar for subpar ports, that is unless more patches are in fact coming.

I love playing these older slightly janky early 3D era games. It reminds me of my childhood and the world of this game looks so interesting, only a matter of time until I pick it up.

I did enjoy quite a bit of it, when did every single challenge in the story mode, but some of those extra advanced levels are so specific they really got old after an hour of redoing them. But the core game is quite fun, even for a newcomer and the minigames are great, loved Monkey Bowling.

Really the main reason I don't like them is because they are used as another means to gouge more money out of consumers. In a world where publishers are making record breaking profits and still end up laying people off I have no interest in supporting the idea of NFTs or microtransactions, I don't care to line the rich executive's pockets while their employees are underpaid and overworked. It's all just greed from already super rich companies and I am sick of it.

It looks solid but I am definitely going to wait for reviews because Kirby games tend to be hit or miss, though it probably doesn't help that I am not a huge Kirby fan.

I am excited for the return of 3D Kirby though, and it's actually a 3D platformer this go around, so there is definitely potential. All I want is Mario Odyssey with Kirby gameplay.

Inscription is my top pick out of these in terms of new games, being able to play the Mass Effect games again on Switch would be very much welcome though. Bugsnax is a good game and suits the Switch well but I can't say how well it will run since I played it on PS5 and it was a locked 60 on there for the most part.

I think it would be pretty awesome if it was, just imagine all of the cool stages they could create! A stage based on Majora's Mask? Yes please!

Although at that point you have to question if it really is a Mario Kart game anymore, honestly even if they just made a new Double Dash that would be more than enough for me, the Switch is practically built for it since you can play Mario Kart with just one joycon.

Honestly I don't see this as a good thing anymore as I have gotten older, I have found that I enjoy my games packed with fun content instead of a bunch of filler to pad things out. I would rather have a streamlined experience that trims out the fat.

Since I finished up OOT via the Online Service a bit ago I have been enjoying playing through Ori and The Will of the Wisps, such a great metroidvania, even better than the first game.

@kingbk That is pretty much exactly what I want, I don't think they should change things up, just make the system better and iterate on it.

I am really curious as to how they can improve upon MK 8 deluxe, it is arguably the definitive MK game, I can't wait to see what they have up their sleeves.

I really hope so, that or the Wind Waker/Twilight Princess collection that seems to be dead at this point unless something changes, I need more Zelda on Switch, really enjoyed playing through OOT via the online service recently.

It is crazy that as soon as one company started selling NFTs all the other big companies have jumped on the bandwagon, it makes me think there were plans to offer them all along and they were just waiting for someone to be the first one to offer them, probably because they were aware of the backlash there could be.

@Friendly If it somehow returned to the glory that it was in 2017 then yes I would say it is definitely worth it, if not for a chance to just be able to see LA as well. I don't know how fun it would be to go nowadays with publishers having their own digital events, just depends on how many booths are set up, trying games before anyone else is part of the fun.

No big deal to me, E3 hasn't been the same for years now, glad I went and saw it myself in person in 2017 but digital events are becoming the norm anymore.

I am not that big into Castlevania but I can't deny that the shirt is awesome.

I am very curious as to how Crazy Taxi would have ran on N64, I bet there would have had to be many sacrifices to get it on there, I enjoy hearing about what could have been when it comes to my favorite systems.

More content would certainly be welcome, but even there isn't it's perfectly fine, this game offers so much to do as it is.

I am glad they just kept the original concept, I believe that's all fans of the original game really wanted anyway. Just bigger and better.

I see the first game on sale all the time on the eShop, never bothered getting it even when it is heavily discounted because I value my time more than my dollar. In this day and age I hardly have time to play bad games when there are so many great ones.

Well deserved, the game is simply amazing, I had never played a SMT game before and was consistently impressed with how good it was.

I have watched various YouTubers play these games over the years and while I have no interest in them myself it is pretty cool to see them coming to Switch.

Persona 5, Inscription and It Takes Two are a must imo, they would be very welcome on the system. I have watched some YouTubers dabble with Inscription and it looks so very good and is more than meets the eye at first glance. I also need a good co-op game to play with my GF, one we will actually stick with and It Takes Two would be perfect for that. Please make all of these happen.

I own the game but haven't played it yet, currently stuck into SMT 5 as of right now but when I am in for another jrpg fix that game is going to be a great time, loved to original and would rank it in with the very best DS games. It is a shame the game hasn't sold well though, but to be fair even if this is the only sequel we ever got it is still better than not getting one at all, which is what I assumed would have happened.

I feel like the frame rate is better on portable mode, and really it looks pretty solid imo, the Switch is far from a powerhouse so expectations have to be kept in check, not every team knows Switch hardware inside and out like Nintendo themselves. Do I wish the game ran better? Yeah I do, but the game is so fun I can look past it, it is a quality game despite it.

Currently playing through SMT 5, I am having a great time and plan to beat it before moving on to anything else.

That would be a pretty awesome addition to the service, they should definitely do that.

This isn't too bad a selection, 5 games is a pretty meaty addition too, wish they could do 2 or so of the N64 games a month but yeah as for Genesis games this is not a bad update.

These games were always favorites of mine as a kid, rented Deep Cover Gecko so many times with my brother, good times.

Personally speaking it has been a fantastic year for me, I may not have bought a ton but the ones I did I thoroughly enjoyed. I really have no complaints this year, games like SMT 5 have been enough of a reason for me to consider it a great year.

I have been playing this game alot since I got it also Friday, and it is such a great time. RPG wise it is definitely up there with Dragon Quest 11 on Switch, it's just so good, the game can punish mistakes but overcoming bosses and making them look like chumps is super satisfying. Only downside is I wish it could run a little better in dock mode, portably it runs a little smoother at the cost of resolution but it can get a little choppy docked in some areas.

There is always potential of course, but Sonic Team has proven time and time again that they don't get what really makes a Sonic game great, something the team that made Sonic Mania had figured out extremely well. I would love Sonic Team to live up to their namesake but I am definitely remaining sceptical on this one, I am worried about the Switch version of the game in particular.

I am kind of concerned as to how this will look on Switch, if need be I will just play it on PS5.

It was probably the most meh Game Awards yet, I didn't get excited for anything I saw.

I got excited for a second then got a tiny bit disappointed when I realized it's a fighting game.

That's the problem with Ultimate, anything after this is inevitably going to be worse, the game almost has too much content to be honest, no other smash can compare. This is a good problem though for fans of the game.

I have never watched Sonic Boom but I appreciate the continuity of using the same voice actor for this movie, it is always weird when the keep changing up voice actors, especially if the previous one was beloved by fans. I am curious as to how the Mario movie will turn out because of that.
