I feel like the frame rate is better on portable mode, and really it looks pretty solid imo, the Switch is far from a powerhouse so expectations have to be kept in check, not every team knows Switch hardware inside and out like Nintendo themselves. Do I wish the game ran better? Yeah I do, but the game is so fun I can look past it, it is a quality game despite it.

Currently playing through SMT 5, I am having a great time and plan to beat it before moving on to anything else.

That would be a pretty awesome addition to the service, they should definitely do that.

This isn't too bad a selection, 5 games is a pretty meaty addition too, wish they could do 2 or so of the N64 games a month but yeah as for Genesis games this is not a bad update.

These games were always favorites of mine as a kid, rented Deep Cover Gecko so many times with my brother, good times.

Personally speaking it has been a fantastic year for me, I may not have bought a ton but the ones I did I thoroughly enjoyed. I really have no complaints this year, games like SMT 5 have been enough of a reason for me to consider it a great year.

I have been playing this game alot since I got it also Friday, and it is such a great time. RPG wise it is definitely up there with Dragon Quest 11 on Switch, it's just so good, the game can punish mistakes but overcoming bosses and making them look like chumps is super satisfying. Only downside is I wish it could run a little better in dock mode, portably it runs a little smoother at the cost of resolution but it can get a little choppy docked in some areas.

There is always potential of course, but Sonic Team has proven time and time again that they don't get what really makes a Sonic game great, something the team that made Sonic Mania had figured out extremely well. I would love Sonic Team to live up to their namesake but I am definitely remaining sceptical on this one, I am worried about the Switch version of the game in particular.

I am kind of concerned as to how this will look on Switch, if need be I will just play it on PS5.

It was probably the most meh Game Awards yet, I didn't get excited for anything I saw.

I got excited for a second then got a tiny bit disappointed when I realized it's a fighting game.

That's the problem with Ultimate, anything after this is inevitably going to be worse, the game almost has too much content to be honest, no other smash can compare. This is a good problem though for fans of the game.

I have never watched Sonic Boom but I appreciate the continuity of using the same voice actor for this movie, it is always weird when the keep changing up voice actors, especially if the previous one was beloved by fans. I am curious as to how the Mario movie will turn out because of that.

Considering the reception has been mixed about these games I don't know if that is the message we want to send to Nintendo, but as long as people who did buy it are enjoying the game that's all that really matters, that's what gaming is all about, having fun at the end of the day.

I am personally still playing it since the update was released, it has reinvigorated the game for me, it actually feels like a proper AC game now that most of the classic characters are back.

Game already has tons of content as it is, I don't feel short changed in the slightest, I won't turn down a little more though.

This is a shame, I bought a copy but haven't gotten a round to playing it just yet but this probably means we will never get another game in the series which in all honesty is fine, I never expected a sequel for the first game to ever came out really so at this point I am content. Not every series needs ten entries, sometimes it's nice for a series to be short and sweet.

I would love to be able to play it, never have, but I think it would be weird to have it on Switch without Chrono Trigger as well

I have a feeling the Switch version is probably going to get the least amount of patches, but it's no big deal, I just got a PS5 so I will pick up the trilogy on there if they ever fix it up to a respectable degree.

This story just gets crazier and crazier, I hope it ends well for all the employees involved, other than Kotick of course.

That master edition looks pretty awesome, heck even just the physical release looks great, I like the box art.

I am pretty irritated that Switch owners waited all this time to be able to play the classic GTA games and this is what they get, they deserve so much better, this is a slap in the face, much like the recently revealed KH cloud games.

The Steamworld games have always done so well on Nintendo Platforms so I would be surprised if it didn't come to Switch.

@anoyonmus I have finished Okami a couple of times which is no small feat considering it isn't a short game, love it but even if there never is a sequel that's ok because the first one ended off so well. Like I said I would not complain about one though, games like that don't come along very often.

My profile pic says it all, but I personally don't see this ever happening, though I would be pleasantly surprised.

It's not a bad deal if they plan to continue adding dlc for the service, but if not it isn't so great. This set a precedent that I hope they continue.

@XBontendo I am actually the same way, I have gotten so many games through PlayStation Plus but I have probably only played a handful of them, I play what I am in the mood to play and typically the games they give away for the service aren't usually that.

With the Switch Online service I am much more likely to play Super Nintendo and N64 games so for me as well, there is way more value.

That is slightly disappointing but content wise after the update and dlc New Horizons will have the most stuff to do out of all the games as far as I know. Still, seeing as the game isn't even that old and it usually takes several years to make a new AC game I was expecting just a little more support considering how well it sold.

I was just looking at this game in the eShop and was loving how it looked based on the images, looks so good.

Now that would be bang for your buck, most people would not complain about getting that many games in addition to the NES and SNES games we already have, that would be value I could get behind.

As soon as I saw this I wasn't surprised in the least, digital it is then because there is no point in going physical on this one, which at least means I don't have to wait until December. Just waiting on word of the performance of the Switch version.

This game looks perfect for an original Resident Evil fan, I have been watching a YouTuber play it lately and it is almost exactly like that, with modern visuals comparable to the RE Remake.

As much as I want the pack honestly right now I am focused on other games so I will probably wait to subscribe until I actually want to play one of the games on the service. With the games coming out it doesn't make sense to subscribe right now for me.

This looks so very good, Stardew Valley is one of my favorite games, I know I will get hooked onto this one too, really hope Concerned Ape can deliver a second time.

If the entire collection isn't on the cartridge I will just get it digitally, I really hope they confirm the details sooner rather than later so I don't have to wait.

Depends on the genre, in the case of Metroid Dread it took me 12 hours to fully complete, and that seems perfect for me. But 12 hours of an rpg like Skyrim would be far too short.

I have only got the first fighter pass even then I only really ever use Banjo Kazooie, someday I will get the second but right now I am happy with the characters I have, BK is all I ever wanted as a character.

This was inevitable, the pricing is just too high for the average consumer to be ok with it, I feel like it was cheaper they would get more subscriptions and end up making more money as a result, but with the increase in price they may be finally pulling out all the stops for the service because they would have to in order for there to be enough value to keep subscribing. This is Nintendo though, so who knows what their plans are, it could be bare minimum.

Depends on the genre, although with the newish Bluetooth update I have been playing exclusively in headphones whether docked or portable. Headphones are a must for games with a killer soundtrack or horror games, got to be able to hear all of the atmospheric sounds as that really helps with the immersion. Typically for horror games I want to play them alone, in a dark but not pitch black room, I find that best for the spooks while keeping my sanity lol.

Hopefully finishing up Metroid Dread, if that happens I plan on playing Super Monkey Ball Bananamania.

It is definitely more expensive than I was expecting, I am not sure N64 games and Genesis games alone are worth an extra 30 bucks unless they plan to have paid dlc added to the service regularly, then that price would make sense. Either way I will be getting it but I am not convinced the value is there yet.

Unless it was mentioned and I didn't see it that means no batch crafting, which is a shame but you can't really complain when everything else you get is great. This is a worthy final free update.
