@Chunkboi79 When I think of mature and Nintendo I don't think of gore, blood or any of that, that isn't Nintendo's domain, and I don't really care for all that stuff anyway, hence why I main Nintendo platforms.
This does help encourage me to play it again, but I can't stomach paying full price for a game I have fully completed many times over. If it was on sale, (which is rare for a Zelda game), then I would consider it because lately I have been yearning for just classic Zelda gameplay, versus the open world BOTW style.
Have not decided, been playing Fortnite a bit lately, really enjoying the current season, could pop on Minecraft or Tony Hawk on Switch if I get bored. I generally focus on one thing at a time.
The more I read about it the more I think it is a solid value for just 50 bucks more, getting all the stuff included seperately would easily cost you more than 50 bucks. Still don't want one at the moment but if my current Switch ever quits I would definitely go for this upgrade.
Disappointed, but this was expected, it just means that there will be parity for all Switch games since there won't be a need for performance improvements due to better hardware. Guess we will have to save that for the Switch successor which is fine by me.
@Dpullam Yeah at this point in time it isn't worth the upgrade, maybe if my current one ever dies I would get this one but otherwise probably not, just not enough new features to justify it.
Finally, the screen will surely be lovely but there is no specific mention of improved framerate/resolution, until I see that I have little interest in it. Can't wait for the scalpers to get their hands on this though, it's going to be crazy.
I finished DQ 11 at long last so I actually got back into playing Minecraft lately, if I get bored of that I have Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 and 2 waiting for me.
That is perfectly fine, there is no need for any more characters imo, give the man a vacation, he deserves it, and maybe we will see something new from him in the future.
Awesome, I was watching my bro play the demo last night and I really liked what I saw, looks very true to the first game, instead of getting Mario Golf I may get this one instead and I am glad to know that when I do there is more than enough bang for your buck.
I am planning on picking both this and Mario Golf tomorrow or Saturday, been holding out on the Switch version of this game and I am very happy it holds up, can't wait to play it in bed.
I already fully completed the game twice and played just for the story once, I have little desire to revisit this game but for first time players this is a solid experience. Not the best Zelda but even the worst Zelda is still a very good game.
Crazy to think people are having a hard time justifying this game's 60 dollar price point, like it or not this is a mainline Nintendo series and 90 percent of their other series' get full MSRP so this was always going to as well. I will pay the full price to support the return of actual 2D Metroid, it's been a long time coming.
I have always wanted to play these Castlevania games, I would be so down for this, would love these much more so than the other Castlevania collection they released recently.
I am saving all my money for Mario Golf and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 and 2 later this month so I won't be buying anything for awhile, plus I am still going through DQ 11 on Switch.
Very excited for this, it's time for all the fans who have been asking for a new Metroid game to show some support and with the combination of a Metroid drought and the hungry fanbase the Switch has will hopefully give the series the success it needs to continue. It's time for Metroid to shine in the limelight a little bit I think.
In terms of what presentation is best, sure Microsoft's overall was a better show but it wasn't catered to my tastes, so I actually enjoyed Nintendo's more because they had games I actually wanted to play. I am just not into the Microsoft ecosystem anymore, and other than Psychonauts 2 there wasn't anything I really care about.
Somehow I am always surprised by what the Zelda team manages to come up with despite them being one of the most consistent developers around, these guys are masters of game design.
Good game or not I enjoyed Cruisn World back on N64, have many good memories with it and it is nice to see the series return to a newer Nintendo console.
This is probably the collection everyone wanted when Banana Blitz was announced, I personally am looking forward to giving these a go as a newcomer to the series.
This looks like one of the better Mario Parties from what I can tell, unfortunately probably won't be getting it since I have no one to really play it with.
The game looks so good, and judging from the footage will have an identity of its own in comparison to BOTW, which for me was the main thing I was worried about.
It was very good imo, the return of 2D Metroid has me pretty excited and when you add on everything else that was announced it goes from good to great. I have no complaints this year.
This is our chance to show our support for this franchise, I know I am going to! This game looks really great, love how they brought back the Dread name as it has some history in the Metroid franchise.
Unless I want a change of pace no, I have been playing Mario Golf since the Gameboy Advance days so I am just going to stick with what I know, good old fashioned buttons.
This one I have to see to believe, even on PS4 Pro the game has long loading times and the framerate is capped at 30 fps, very interested to see how this turns out.

Re: Switch OLED Upgrades Reportedly Cost Nintendo "Around $10 More Per Unit"
Really they should have just replaced the original model with this and kept the price at 300 if it only cost them that much.
Re: Square Enix Reveals New Bravely Default Game, But It's Only Launching On Mobile
We just got a new game this year, I think it is ok for mobile players to get a game, whether you like mobile phone gaming or not.
Re: Talking Point: Can Metroid Dread Be The Franchise's 'Awakening'?
@Chunkboi79 And yeah Nintendo does have mature titles if you know where to look, although I would argue their games are mostly all ageless.
Re: Talking Point: Can Metroid Dread Be The Franchise's 'Awakening'?
@Chunkboi79 When I think of mature and Nintendo I don't think of gore, blood or any of that, that isn't Nintendo's domain, and I don't really care for all that stuff anyway, hence why I main Nintendo platforms.
Re: Sonic Colors: Ultimate Switch Trailer Removes 60fps Perk Of Original Video
@Clyde_Radcliffe Very true, which makes this even more baffling if it is 30fps. I can't imagine it being the Switch hardware that is the problem.
Re: Sonic Colors: Ultimate Switch Trailer Removes 60fps Perk Of Original Video
For a Wii remake I really expected 60 fps.
Re: Talking Point: Can Metroid Dread Be The Franchise's 'Awakening'?
@Chunkboi79 Yeah they could use some more "mature" games, Metroid is about as close as we can get from Nintendo.
Re: Talking Point: Can Metroid Dread Be The Franchise's 'Awakening'?
I sure hope so, I want Metroid to be as well known as Zelda and Mario, though even I will admit that is way too ambitious, still I can dream.
Re: EA Is Bringing Another Legacy Edition Of FIFA To Nintendo Switch
@anoyonmus Alot of people hated on Stadia cause it's Google but how is it from your perspective? An actual user of the service?
Re: EA Is Bringing Another Legacy Edition Of FIFA To Nintendo Switch
At this point I would rather they just don't bother instead of releasing a gimped version, it's almost insulting to players on Switch.
