Re: More Rumours About The Zelda Movie Cast Surface Online

DollyrotsFan1

@Yoshi3 From what the creators have said the open world format is here to stay and they plan on making the games even bigger in the future and have said exploration is a big part of the games now. I could see them going in an even more realistic direction with the next game but with a new landscape from ground up and some fans think they should take influence from 'The Wind Waker' and have underwater exploration as a big part of the game since it was missing in 'Breath of the Wild' and 'Tears of the Kingdom.'

I remember reading on here or another game site 'Breath of the Wild' was originally going to have underwater exploration and they created some areas under water that were supposed to be a big part of the game that went unfinished and had three additional Divine Beasts based on sea creatures with one on the beach near Lurelin Village. I liked the beach areas in the game and would have preferred they had underwater exploration over The Depths in 'Tears of the Kingdom' so I am hopeful the new game goes through with that.

Re: Pokémon Winds & Waves' Main Theme Sounds Absolutely Gorgeous

DollyrotsFan1

@BrazillianCara A lot of Pokemon haters haven't played any of the newer games and just hate on them because they are not the same as the games they played way back in the 1990s.

It is like senior citizens hating on modern pop music because it is not The Beach Boys, 10cc, Cold Chisel, Deep Purple, Status Quo, ACDC and Uriah Heap. lol

Re: The Live-Action Zelda Movie Has A New Worldwide Release Date

DollyrotsFan1

@RiasGremory From what I have read the movie is going to have a lot of monsters from the games in it and Lynels are one of them and they are going to be big and scary.

They should have Hinoxes, Gleeoks, Moldugas, Stone Taluses. Gibdos, Froaxes, Horriblins, Big Poes, Stalfos, Wallmasters, Shadow Beasts, Dead Hand, Koloktos, Skulltulas, Gloom Hands, Blizzeta, Gomess, Guardians and the ReDead.

Re: The Live-Action Zelda Movie Has A New Worldwide Release Date

DollyrotsFan1

@canaryfarmer Princess Leia and Luke Skywalker all over again. lol Maybe they will have Link with Mipha in the movie and give Mipha a new story. I always liked Mipha and felt sorry for her since her story is so sad and she was clearly in love with Link but Link was in love with Zelda and poor Mipha dies at a young age and her spirit was stuck in one of the Divine Beasts. Mipha deserved better and I preferred her ending in 'Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity' and pretend 'Tears of the Kingdom' didn't happen now. lol

Give Zelda a female love interest. 💗

Re: Talking Point: Will These Upcoming Star Wars Games Make The Hyperspace Jump To Switch 2?

DollyrotsFan1

Star Wars Jedi 3 is the 'Star Wars' game I am looking forward to the most. I loved the first two games and have played them multiple times over the years and Cal Kestis, BD-1, Merrin, Greez and Cera are all great characters and I would like to see them in a movie or show. I hope we get more planets this time and would prefer more vairety like in the first game over having most of the game take place on one planet like 'Star Wars: Jedi Survivor' did with Koboh.

It would also be good if we could play as Merrin for a while too like we got to play as Cere in 'Star Wars Jedi: Survivor' and they had more appearances from characters from the movies and shows like Yoda, Ahsoka, Obi Wan and Darth Maul after having Darth Vader in the first two games.

Re: Retailer GameStop Has Made A $55.5 Billion Offer To Buy eBay

DollyrotsFan1

I just looked into it. Gamestop is owned by Ryan Cohen who is a billionaire and the largest individual shareholder of Apple. He has the largest stake in Alibaba and owns large passive investments in Wells Fargo and Netflix. He is also one of the billionaires that funded Trump's 2024 US Election Campaign and was spreading conspiracy theorist rubbish over the results of the 2020 US Election.

Re: The Live-Action Zelda Movie Is Coming To IMAX

DollyrotsFan1

@rvcolem1 Yes. She has been. Just like Princess Peach in the Mario games, Dixie and Tiny in the Donkey Kong games and Amy in the Sonic games (along with Rogue, Cream and Blaze)
there have been multiple 'Legend of Zelda' games now with Zelda as a playable character and I love playing as Zelda in the Hyrule Warriors games especially 'Age of Calamity' when she has her powers activated and can take down dozens of monsters with light from her hands and light arrows and can float around.

Three of my favourite video games growing up were Super Mario Bros 2, Donkey Kong Country 2 and Sonic Adventure because you could play as Peach (Princess Toadstool at the time), Dixie Kong and Amy and I loved the Metroid games with Samus, Balloon Kid, Sailor Moon, Jill of the Jungle and Mischief Makers to name a few but in 2026 it is suddenly some new and 'woke' thing to have female characters being heroes and fighting villains too...

Re: Video: 15 Exciting Games Coming To Switch 1 & 2 In May 2026

DollyrotsFan1

@rjejr You have a good point there. I have heard about some of the things going on in the United States now due to a certain bigot in the White House and I sympathize with you and the rest of the decent people in your country having to put up with his rot. As a Lesbian it makes me feel lucky to live in Australia at the moment hearing about the attacks on LGBT rights from some of my friends I talk to online but US Midterms are coming up and with any luck the Republicans will lose and Trump won't have as much power anymore.

Re: Video: 15 Exciting Games Coming To Switch 1 & 2 In May 2026

DollyrotsFan1

@OneArmedGiant Yeah. Office Works has video games. They don't have many in their physical stores but they have quite a few on their online shop and we have ordered from them multiple times. They also have the Nintendo eShop Gift cards.

The Australian Amazon store is good with prices for video games sometimes too and if you are looking for older games the Gamesmen has a lot of video games on consoles going all the way back to Sega Master System and they have plushies too.

Re: Video: 15 Exciting Games Coming To Switch 1 & 2 In May 2026

DollyrotsFan1

@rjejr Oh. I am sorry to hear that. Over here in Australia they have a variety of different prices for games depending on the shops you go to 'cause they compete with each other to have the cheapest prices to get more customers. Big W is usually the best with prices but we have got some cheap off the Australian Amazon store too.

It is a shame things aren't the same over in the US for you.

Re: Video: 15 Exciting Games Coming To Switch 1 & 2 In May 2026

DollyrotsFan1

@rjejr It depends on where you buy the game here. EB Games has Yoshi and the Mysterious Book for $109.95 while JBHIFI has it for $95, Big W has it for $89 and Office Works has it for $84. If you keep an eye on their prices you can save a lot of money with games. We have got some games that were $99 at some shops for $69 at others and some have sales with 10 and 20 percent off on Nintendo Switch 1 and 2 games and the Christmas sales are always the best time to buy video games and consoles.

Re: The Live-Action Zelda Movie Is Coming To IMAX

DollyrotsFan1

@Dee123 They are making Frozen 3 and 4 and they were originally only going to make a third movie but the movie ended up being so big they decided to make it into two. Jennifer Lee has said she would like to do up to six movies if the next two are successful and has a lot of plans for Anna and Elsa and my Nieces and their friends love the Frozen movies and we will be taking them to see the third one next year. 😀

Re: The Live-Action Zelda Movie Is Coming To IMAX

DollyrotsFan1

We will be going to see it along with Frozen 3, A Minecraft Movie 2, Sonic the Hedgehog 4, Godzilla x Kong: Supernova, Beyond the Spider-Verse, The Batman 2, Man of Tomorrow and Avengers: Secret Wars. We are also lookig forward to A Quiet Place 3, Paranormal Activity 8, The Revenge of La Llorona, The Conjuring: First Communion and Gremlins 3.

Re: Upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 Games & Accessories For May & June 2026

DollyrotsFan1

@Dman10 Hopefully we finally get an announcement for the next 3D Mario game whether it is Super Mario Odyssey 2, Super Mario 3D World 2 or something else. I remember reading we are supposed to get an announcement about the next 3D Sonic game soon too and it would be great if we got new 3D Mario and Sonic games later this year or in 2027.

Re: Upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 Games & Accessories For May & June 2026

DollyrotsFan1

Looking forward to getting 'Yoshi and the Mysterious Book', 'Bubsy 4D', 'Rayman: 30th Anniversary Edition', 'Disney Afternoon Collection', 'Pastry Panic' and 'The Witch's Bakery' this year. I am still disappointed we never got a re-release of 'Yoshi's Woolly World' on Switch though and know a lot of people that would love to play the game but didn't want to buy a Nintendo Wii U to play it.

Re: Super Mario Galaxy 2 Updated To Version 1.4.0, Here Are The Full Patch Notes

DollyrotsFan1

@N00BiSH The Super Mario movies and video games aren't the same and don't exist in the same continuity. They made a huge amount of changes in the 'Sonic the Hedgehog' movies in comparison to the video games and completely rewrote some of the characters' backstories like Robotnik/ Eggman. Most movie and TV Show adaptations of video games and comic books have made a lot of changes over the years and rarely faithfully follow the source material down to a T.

The 1993 'Super Mario Bros' movie made far more changes to Mario than the new animated movies have and the animated shows were far from being 100 percent faithful to the games either.

Re: Today Is Nintendo Legend Yoshiaki Koizumi's 58th Birthday

DollyrotsFan1

@Dev-N I didn't know that but I am happy he did 'cause I was starting to think Nintendo had given up on making Donkey Kong games 'cause it had been so long since we had got a new one but I hope they continue and Diddy and Dixie are a bigger part of the next game 'cause my favourite Donkey Kong game has always been Donkey Kong Country 2.

Re: Talking Point: Do You Play Zelda Games For The Story?

DollyrotsFan1

@Yoshi3 I liked the characters like Mipha, Revali, Urbosa, Daruk, Sidon, Riju, Purah, Robbie and Impa and playing as them in 'Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity. I would like to see some of them in the movies. Mipha's story is so sad and as controversial as it might have been to some fans I liked how 'Age of Calamity' changed things with its own timeline and had the champions live.

Re: Talking Point: Do You Play Zelda Games For The Story?

DollyrotsFan1

@MontyCircus I wasn't a big fan of 'The Last Of Us' show either. I never played the games but I heard they had zombies in them and was expecting to get something more fun and fast paced like the George A. Romero Dead movies, the Return of the Living Dead movies, the 28 Days movies, the Zombieland movies or World War Z but there was too much drama and not enough zombies and action. As a Lesbian I like that the show had LGBT representation but it was too mopey and depressing for my liking and I wanted to see the characters fighting more zombies. 😅

I LOVE the 'Fallout' show and Lucy and The Ghoul are a fun and entertaining pairing and I can't wait to see the FEV monsters and Super Mutants in Season 3 and the creators have said they want to make as many seasons as possible and have a lot of fun and scary creatures they can use from the games. If you haven't seen the show I would highly reccomend it 'cause a lot of people are calling it one of the best video game adaptations ever made and Ella Purnell and Walter Goggins are both great as Lucy and The Ghoul and Ella Purnell is so 😊😊😊

Re: Talking Point: Do You Play Zelda Games For The Story?

DollyrotsFan1

I like the exploring aspect the most about 'Breath of the Wild' and searching for things like the Korok Seeds, doing puzzles in the shrines, filling in the maps with the towers and collecting and building up items and I collected so much fruit and meat in 'Breath of the Wild' anytime I struggled facing hard enemies I was able to pause the game and easily fill my health back up. I also collected a ton of regular Arrows, Fire Arrows, Shock Arrows, Bomb Arrows, Ice Arrows and Ancient Arrows so I wouldn't run out and made sure I had the best swords and shields. It took me three and a half years to beat 'Breath of the Wild' and most of that time was spent collecting things.

I liked a lot of the locations in the game too like Lurelin Village, Hateno Village, Kakariko Village, Rito Village and Tarrey Town and building Tarrey Town was fun and I always like going to the beach areas.

Re: "It's Truly Baffling" - Shigeru Miyamoto Comments On The Mario Galaxy Movie's Critical Reception

DollyrotsFan1

It doesn't matter. The movie has made over $2 Billion at the Box Office. A lot of people hate on the Avengers and other supehrero movies too and call them childish and immature including well-known Actors, Directors and Writers who went as far to say superhero movies were ruinning the film industry but superhero movies have their fans just like these movies.

If you don't like them don't watch them. It is really that simple but there are a lot of kids that like these movies along with the Sonic the Hedgehog movies and the hatred for movies like these just come across as cult-like mentality from people who need something to hate on as a way of making themselves feel big and relevent and they jump on the bandwagon anytime something new comes along.

Re: THQ Nordic Website Lists Multiple Unannounced Projects For Switch 2

DollyrotsFan1

@Gjones22 I sadly think it is unlikely we will get any of the old WWE games re-released by THQ because WWE is now working with another company (2K) for their games and a lot of the older wrestlers in those games like Chris Jericho, Edge (Adam Copeland), Christian, Dean Ambrose (Jon Moxley), Jeff Hardy, Matt Hardy, Mickie James, Alicia Fox, Dolph Ziggler, Sasha Banks (Mercedes Mone), Ember Moon (Athena) and Daniel Bryan (Bryan Danielson) are now working for other wrestling companies while others aren't under WWE legend contracts which prevents them from using them in games.

Re: Argonaut Games Appears To Bee Reviving A Forgotten N64 Title

DollyrotsFan1

If there is one Nintendo 64 game I would love to see get a revival it is 'Mischief Makers' and I am surprised with how many people still love the game I am surprised it hasn't been put on any of the Nintendo Online Shops for Wii, Wii U, Switch and Switch 2. had a remake or a sequel. It has been citically praised in recent times by many video game journalists and Video game journalists from sources such as GamesRadar and Nintendo World Report have even said it deserves a reissue through the Nintendo eShop or a sequel or franchise reboot but Nintendo are weird with that they will and won't put on their eShop and we are still waiting for 'Super Mario Land 3: Wario Land' which they own.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (18th April)

DollyrotsFan1

@BentIeyma South of Midnight is a great game. I am always looking for similar games to that especially Action Adventure games with female leads with powers and Asterigos: Curse of the Stars, Echoes of the End, Kena: Bridge of Spirits, Immortals: Fenix Rising, Genshin Impact, Ary and the Secret of Seasons and Eternal Strands are some I would reccomend and Asterigos and Kena are getting sequels.

Re: Pokémon & Zelda Rip-Off 'Pickmos' Removed From Steam As Publisher Intervenes

DollyrotsFan1

The fact it was originally called Pickmon and looks so similar to Pokemon was like the creators were just seeing what they could get away with doing without getting sued. I don't mind some video games that copy each other since they have been doing it for decades and I personally like 'Immortals: Fenyx Rising' and 'Genshin Impact' more than 'Breath of the Wild' and 'Tears of the Kingdom' but both of them done their own thing too and were very different than the Legend of Zelda games while this one looks like a blatant knockoff of Pokemon.

Re: Xbox Is Reportedly Having "Very Big Discussions" About Exclusivity

DollyrotsFan1

@Craigsouthern I live in Australia and a lot of people here have X Box Series X and all shops that sell video games sell X Box Series X and X Box Series X games. One of the main reasons we got an X Box 360 over a Playstation 3 was because it was significantly cheaper here and every X Box Console since then has been cheaper than the Playstation consoles.

Although, to be fair gaming in general is becoming ridicously overpriced and we recently got WWE2K26 and got a $50 card with it to buy the Season Pass to get the bonus wrestlers only to find the Season Pass costs $84 which is an absolute ripoff when we only paid another $16 to buy WWE2K26 itself and most other new games we can get for $69-$79 but they expect us to pay more than the price of a new video game now just for a few bonus wrestlers. F that for a joke. The price of DLC for WWE games used to be HEAPS cheaper and I remember getting it for only $20 not that long ago.

Re: Xbox Is Reportedly Having "Very Big Discussions" About Exclusivity

DollyrotsFan1

@darylb24 Hopefully new management bring back the Rare games. Nearly everybody I know who grew up with a Nintendo 64 console would happily buy an X Box if it meant getting new Banjo Kazooie and Conker's Bad Fur Day games and my Nieces and their friends love the Banjo Kazooie games and I think a new game could easily be a big hit with younger gamers like them especially looking at some of the other lesser popular video game franchises that have released new games recently after not having anything new out for 20 + years.

They own Activision now who own Spyro the Dragon and a new Spyro the Dragon game would be great too and the popularity of the 'Reignited Trilogy' showed there are still a lot of Spyro fans.

Re: Xbox Is Reportedly Having "Very Big Discussions" About Exclusivity

DollyrotsFan1

@Pillowpants That is basically the same thing people were saying a decade ago about DC with the DCEU after 'Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice' came out in 2016 and was critically panned and DC is now making a comeback with the DCU under James Gunn and Peter Safran. A lot of companies, Artists and bands, movie franchises, novel series, video game franchises etc have all gone through bad periods where they have not sold well and got a lot of criticism but have turned it around after a few years and made a comeback.

Re: Yooka-Laylee Dev Playtonic Seems To Be Teasing Something

DollyrotsFan1

They said when they first announced 'Yooka-Replaylee' they were also working on a proper 3D sequel to the game. Hopefully this is it and I am looking forward to seeing all the different levels in it and hope they have a beach inspired level this time like 'Banjo Kazooie' had with Treasure Trove and an amusement park inspired level like Witchyworld.

Re: The Legend Of Zelda Live-Action Movie Has Officially Wrapped Filming

DollyrotsFan1

@LotusFlowers A lot of the hate for the Mario animated movies has been about Princess Peach not being portrayed as a damsel in distress and there were recently fans carrying on silly over Princess Peach and Rosalina being revealed to be Sisters when Shigeru Miyamoto said they were originally going to reveal that in the 'Super Mario Galaxy' game.
