Re: New 'Sonic Universe' Movie Spin-Off Announced For 2028

DollyrotsFan1

@coolioam There is still a large amount of Sonic characters that have yet to be adapted to screen and the best thing is Jeff Fowler is a fan of the Sonic games and characters and wants to bring a lot of them to screen. A lot of people don't realise how big the Sonic Universe is and we only just had Amy join at the end of the last movie and we have still got Rouge, Cream, Blaze, Vector, Big the Cat, Charmy Bee, Espio, Jet, Wave, Tikal, Storm, Silver, Sticks, Bean etc etc to come!!

Re: Poll: So, Will You Be Getting Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Imprisonment?

DollyrotsFan1

We were going to get a Nintendo Switch 2 along with games for Christmas and it was going to be one of the main games we got for sure since I love 'Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity' and playing as Zelda and still play it now but then our Malshi who was 10 sadly had a stroke and had to be put down and we have been saving up to get a new Maltese in January and they have gone up and can now cost between $2000-$5000 and that is not counting all the new things we will have to buy for it so we are going to hold off on getting a Nintendo Switch 2 until later next year but this will be one of the first games we get.

Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Pokémon Legends: Z-A?

DollyrotsFan1

@Keegsy My Top 5 on the Nintendo Switch are

1) New Pokemon Snap
2) Pokemon Legends: Arceus
3) Pokemon Sword/ Shield
4) Pokemon Scarlet/ Violet
5) Pokemon Legends: Z-A

But I could see the bottom one going up higher when I have played it more but I really loved 'New Pokemon Snap' and I am disappointed we didn't get a 'PokePark 3' on Switch since we loved those games and they are so cute!! lol

Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Pokémon Legends: Z-A?

DollyrotsFan1

@iLikeUrAttitude Have you seen Pokémon Pokopia? It looks pretty different than the other games and we are looking forward to playing that when it comes out. There is a new game coming out on X Box Series X next year that looks similar to Pokemon but has better looking graphics called 'Animo’ and you catch the creatures and have them battle each other like you do in Pokemon games but you can actually turn into them and play as them instead of just being the human.

You make some good points but I do have to wonder if the games are actually Game Freak's main priority with Pokemon now or do they see the animated shows, movies, trading cards or plush toys as that because they make a lot of money off so many things and not just the games and I have heard they are working on another Live Action movie but it will be based on the original animated show this time with Ash.

Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Pokémon Legends: Z-A?

DollyrotsFan1

@iLikeUrAttitude A lot of the older games didn't look that great when they came out either and I remember wanting them to look like the cartoon but the graphics were very basic back then even compared to other games that were out at the time and always thought it was silly they put the main games on the Gameboy since putting them on Nintendo 64, Gamecube, Wii etc would allow them to have better graphics. They have come a long way with the graphics since then and do look more like the cartoons now but I do fully agree with you that they could do better in that department.

With the complaints about the level of difficulty of the latest games though I have heard they deliberately make a lot of newer games that are aimed at children easier so they can enjoy them from a young age and I think some people are expecting a challenge but they are looking at the wrong games if they want that.

Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Pokémon Legends: Z-A?

DollyrotsFan1

@iLikeUrAttitude As somebody who loved playing Pokemon Snap on Nintendo 64 myself and a lot of other fans I know wanted a sequel to it for years and they finally listened to the fans and gave us one and I loved it and know I wasn't the only one that did either since both my Nieces and Nephew enjoyed playing it too. While I agree not all the latest games have been the greatest and I can understand people wanting a more polished product a lot of kids like my Nieces and Nephew and their friends enjoy these and that is the audience they are going for and I think there are a lot of people that criticize the games that forget that and want them to be masterpieces much like adults who complain about Dora the Explorer, Paw Patrol and Bubble Guppies and call them immature when they are meant to be for children.

Satoshi Tajiri has said Pokemon is for children and while it is okay for people of all ages to enjoy it children will always be their target audience.

Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Pokémon Legends: Z-A?

DollyrotsFan1

@iLikeUrAttitude Pokemon has been getting Sonic level hate for at least the past decade now from people who pretty much hate on all the Pokemon games and say only the classic ones are the good ones. It is the latest thing to do with long running video game franchises even when the older games weren't that great. They do it with 'Legend of Zelda' all the time despite a lot of fans liking the newer games but nothing compares to their classics.

Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Pokémon Legends: Z-A?

DollyrotsFan1

@demacho Yeah. I agree. There seems to be some haters I doubt have even played it that are being way too dramatic over it even calling it the worst game of all time or worst Pokemon game they have seen and they did the same with 'Pokemon Scarlet and Violet' and I honestly didn't think they were that bad either and my Niece who is a big Pokemon fan loved them along with the DLC.

I think because Pokemon has sold so much (it is the highest grossing media franchise of all time) there are people that just hate it because it is more successful than other games they like more and aren't as popular or well known and it doesn't matter how good the game they put out it will get hated at this point.

Re: Sonic Team's Boss Wants To Put More Sonic Characters In The Spotlight

DollyrotsFan1

@DjinnFighter There have been some newer Sonic games since then that have had characters outside of the main cast in them and Sonic Rumble, Sonic Runners, Sonic Runners Adventure, Sonic Dream Team, Sonic Jump Fever and Sonic Prime Dash are some of them and then you have got the Sonic Racing games but the problem is the other ones weren't released on consoles and I would love to see a new Sonic game for consoles that has the same amount of characters as they had.

What might help them is Jeff Fowler who directs the Sonic movies and Knuckles show is a fan of a lot of those Sonic characters too and has said he has plans to use them in future movies and TV Shows and he wants to make a Team Chaotix show with Charmy Bee, Espio and Vector and a Rouge the Bat show. He also said when asked about Cream if she might appear in one of the future movies she is on his list of characters he would like to use so using them in those might get them used more in the games.

Re: Sonic Team's Boss Wants To Put More Sonic Characters In The Spotlight

DollyrotsFan1

That's awesome news. There are a lot of great characters in the Sonic universe I would love to see get more spotlight and be playable characters in more games and Cream, Rouge, Charmy Bee, Espio, Vector, Blaze, Jet, Wave and Storm are some of them but I think Amy deserves her own year 'cause she has been one of the main characters in the series for a long time now and will be in 'Sonic the Hedgehog 4.' 😀

Re: The Legend Of Zelda Movie's Official Social Media Account Goes Live

DollyrotsFan1

@Pillowpants The Super Mario Bros Movie was a huge success and was not only the second highest grossing movie of 2023 below 'Barbie' earning $1,360,847,665 it was the highest grossing movie based on a video game of all time. A lot of kids loved it including my Nieces and Nephew and the the creator of Mario, Shigeru Miyamoto was very pleased with it and said it reached the target demographic they were looking for which were children. They weren't looking to win over adult critics with some masterpiece that was going to be held against M and R rated movies and talked about for decades. These are made for the same kids that love Dora the Explorer and Paw Patrol which are hugely popular franchises too. They are light humoured silly fun for children to have a good time watching.

This is why movies like Frozen 2, Moana 2, Inside Out 2, Lilo & Stitch, A Minecraft Movie, Despicable Me 4 and the soon to be released, Zootopia 2 have been so successful while the MCU is struggling because somewhere along the way they forgot about the younger viewers and try too hard to win over adults with adult themed movies that alienate younger viewers with foul language and too much violence. The Late Stan Lee said it best when he said superheroes were made for children and it is okay for people of all ages to enjoy them but the writer should always remember they are writing for children because the children are the ones that carry these characters into the next generation. The creators of 'The Super Mario Bros Movie' got that. The MCU did not. Shigeru Miyamoto is co-producing the second one which is set to come out next year with Yoshi rumoured to be the main focus.

Re: Random: Oh Jeez, Now Palworld Has Its Own Rip-Off On The Switch eShop

DollyrotsFan1

@IceClimbersMain Honestly, there are a lot of games that have ripped off each other over the years and you only have to look back at all the 2D Platformers that have come out over the years that have taken a lot from Mario, Sonic, Alex Kidd, Wonderboy and Donkey Kong Country and all the 3D Platformers that borrowed from 'Super Mario 64', 'Banjo Kazooie', 'Crash Bandicoot' and 'Spyro the Dragon.'

The 'Wonderboy' games were what they now call Metroidvania before Metroid even existed but nobody called Metroid a Wonderboy knockoff. I think some people just want to call everything a knockoff now because they are similar to other games but if games didn't copy off each other gaming wouldn't be where it is now because most games are not 100 percent original and were influenced by others.

Re: Best Pokémon Spin-Off Games Of All Time

DollyrotsFan1

@Hinade Oh, that is nice to hear. I hope you enjoy the game when you get around to playing it more and I personally loved the water courses the most like Blushing Beach, Maricopia Reef and Lental Seafloor and Shiver Snowfields and the only disappointing thing to me was we didn't get more courses in it and when they make a third I would like if we could get out of the NEO-ONE and walk around in some areas to take pictures of Pokemon too.

Re: Best Pokémon Spin-Off Games Of All Time

DollyrotsFan1

@iLikeUrAttitude I think it is just a matter of personal tastes. I personally love the Pokemon Snap games even more than the main series games and after having to wait 22 years for a sequel I was really happy when we finally got one and enjoyed playing it with my Nieces.

I am hoping we don't have to wait as long for a third.

Re: Best Pokémon Spin-Off Games Of All Time

DollyrotsFan1

@Hinade As a big longtime Pokemon fan too I definitely recommend you go and get 'New Pokemon Snap.' The game is amazing and is my favourite Pokemon game on Switch. I loved the original Pokemon Snap on Nintendo 64 and always wanted a sequel to it but after how long ago that came out I was starting to think we would never get one but the 22 year wait was worth it.😀

Re: Best Pokémon Spin-Off Games Of All Time

DollyrotsFan1

@Careless_Anouki No. You are not alone. I LOVE the Poke Park games and my Nieces do too and we want a third one or for Nintendo to re-release the first two on Nintendo Switch 2. With the real Poke Park coming back now would be the perfect timing to make another one.

Re: Feature: What We Expect From Nintendo For Super Mario Bros.' 40th Anniversary

DollyrotsFan1

Super Mario Galaxy 2
New Super Mario Bros (Wii and DS versions)
Super Mario Land 3: Wario Land
Yoshi's Woolly World

Would be great to have re-released on Switch 1 and 2 or with something new since it unlikely we will get a new 3D main series Mario game.

Super Mario Maker 3D
New Yoshi game like Woolly World and Crafted World
Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker 2
New Mario Golf game
New Dr Mario game
New Mario Paint

Re: Ubisoft Reportedly Cancels Star Wars Outlaws Sequel

DollyrotsFan1

@rvcolem1 Yeah. I agree. I liked the story and gameplay more in the second game too and liked the addition of all the new abilities and powers and I am curious to see what they will add in the third but I was just disappointed there were less planets and would have liked more of a variety of smaller ones than going back to Koboh multiple times. It has been rumoured Kata (Bode's daughter) will be a playable character in the third game too and she will be grown up and I would love to be able to play as Merrin too with her powers like we got to play as Cere for a while.

I am also interested in seeing how things will end for Cal and hope they don't kill him off and I think a Live Action or Animated movie or show with the characters based in between or after the games would be fun and Cameron Monaghan and Tina Ivlev who play Cal and Merrin have said they would like to play their characters in Live Action.

Re: Ubisoft Reportedly Cancels Star Wars Outlaws Sequel

DollyrotsFan1

@rvcolem1 I LOVE the Star Wars Jedi games!! Cal Kestis, Merrin, BD-1, Greez and Cere are some of my favourite Star Wars character and they are making a third one now which will be the final one in the trilogy and I am looking forward to it and hope they have more worlds like the first one did instead of one big one we keep going back to like Koboh. I would like to see some more planets from the movies and shows like Endor with the Ewoks, the tropical planet, Aynaboni from 'The Bad Batch' and At Attin from 'The Skeleton Crew' for example. It would also be great if we got an Obi Wan Kenobi, Luke Skywalker or Ahsoka appearance after having Darth Vader appear in the past two games and have them team up with Cal in a battle. Also, Darth Maul since he comes from the same planet as Merrin.

Re: Best Donkey Kong Games Of All Time

DollyrotsFan1

We haven't got a Switch 2 yet to play the new game yet but I would rank the ones I have played over the years

1) Donkey Kong Country 2
2) Donkey Kong Country 3
3) Donkey Kong 64
4) Donkey Kong Country
5) Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze
6) New Donkey Kong Country Returns

I liked Diddy Kong Racing too.

Re: Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Imprisonment Has Been Rated For Switch 2

DollyrotsFan1

@MirrorFate2 Playing as Zelda with her full powers was the main thing I enjoyed about 'Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity' and it was like playing as a superhero and Zelda with her powers was even more fun than playing as Link and I would love to have powers like that in an open world Zelda taking out heaps of villains at the same time with light beams from her hands and floating up mountains without needing to climb would be awesome.

Re: Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Imprisonment Has Been Rated For Switch 2

DollyrotsFan1

@Sambuc I would love the other Nintendo ones the creators said they wanted to do next 'cause they said there were several Nintendo franchises they had been going over to make Warriors games with and I think Mario and Kirby would be fun in the Warriors style 'cause they have got a lot of characters we can play as and take inspiration for the levels from multiple Mario and Kirby games.

Re: Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Imprisonment Has Been Rated For Switch 2

DollyrotsFan1

Now, this is the game we are definitely going to buy Nintendo Switch 2 and I loved 'Age of Calamity' even more than 'Tears of the Kingdom' and can't wait to play this one because I love the fighting style of the Hyrule Warriors games more than 'Breath of the Wild' and 'Tears of the Kingdom' with how you can fight multiple enemies at once and take down powerful ones with special moves you build up. And one of the best things is the weapons DON'T break!!! 😄 The faster pace is more fun and I could never beat a Lynel until I got 'Age of Calamity' and then in a few days I was taken them down by the dozen and look forward to doing the same with the Gloom Hands and Gleeoks in this game.

Re: Nintendo Expands Switch 2's GameCube Library This Week

DollyrotsFan1

@Bass_X0 Yeah. You are probably right about that. It sucks with 'The Simpsons' games too since Matt Groening and Al Jean both said they often get people asking them when 'The Simpsons: Hit & Run' is going to be re-released and they would like to see the game re-released too but it is beyond their control and there is believed to be some rights issue stopping it that involves another company.

I am hopeful for the Sonic, Spyro and Rayman games though and have been wanting 'Sonic Heroes' to be re-released on a new console for years and it feels like they have re-released or made nearly all the old 3D Sonic games available to play on newer consoles except for 'Sonic Heroes' which a lot of other Sonic fans I know think was one of the best Sonic 3D games and want to see it on modern consoles too.

Re: Donkey Kong Bananza, Like Mario Kart World, Was Initially Planned For Switch 1

DollyrotsFan1

@Dev-N I am still surprised we didn't get a third 2D Donkey Kong Country game that continued on from Returns and Tropical Freeze to make it into a trilogy like the original Donkey Kong Country games on Super Nintendo.

I am glad they have finally made a new Donkey Kong game though and was starting to think they had abandoned the Donkey Kong games with how long it had been.

Re: Best Yoshi Games Of All Time

DollyrotsFan1

@UnbreakableAlex I think that is because they are going after a younger audience around the age of my Nieces who are not highly skilled gamers and can just play the game and have fun. Sometimes I like playing easy games just to have fun playing them and am not looking for a challenge and I loved 'Yoshi's Woolly World' and have replayed all the levels multiple times.

Re: Best Yoshi Games Of All Time

DollyrotsFan1

@Pillowpants Me too. I heard it has been confirmed Yoshi is going to be in the sequel to 'The Super Mario Bros Movie' which is coming out next and is going to be a big part of it. I am really hoping we get new Yoshi and Captain Toad games on Nintendo Switch 2. 😀

Re: Best Yoshi Games Of All Time

DollyrotsFan1

Hopefully we get a new Yoshi game and they re-release Yoshi's Woolly World for Nintendo Switch 2. It was my favourite game on Nintendo Wii U aside from Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker and I am still disappointed it didn't get a Switch Release.

Re: Nintendo Expands Switch 2's GameCube Library Next Week

DollyrotsFan1

Bring on The Simpsons: Hit & Run!!! Along with The Simpsons: Road Rage, Sonic Adventure 1 and 2, Sonic Heroes, Sonic Riders, Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Chaos Bleeds, Spyro: A Hero's Tail, Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc, X2: Wolverine's Revenge, Looney Tunes: Back In Action, Kelly Slater's Pro Surfer, Pac-Man World 2 and 3, Transworld Surf, Tom and Jerry: War of the Whiskers and the Tak games!!!!
