Re: Three Sega Genesis / Mega Drive Games Have Been Added To Switch Online's Expansion Pack

DollyrotsFan1

@sevex Yeah. It was a fun game. lol I used to have it on Sega Master System and it was one of the games I played the most along with Alex Kidd in Miracle World, Wonderboy and Wonderboy 3: The Dragon's Trap. I was surprised it didn't get a sequel but the main character (Bean the Dynamite) went on to become of Sonic's side characters and still appears in games every now and then.

Re: Poll: After Three Quiet Months, Will We Finally Get A Nintendo Direct In December?

DollyrotsFan1

@eltomo 'Pokémon Legends: Z-A' is not Nintendo Switch 2. It is going to be on Nintendo Switch 1 which is why it is really weird we have yet to get more information about it. The producers of the game have said it will be on Nintendo Switch so the fact they are taking so long to reveal more information about it makes me think Switch 2 isn't coming out anytime soon either since Pokemon is one of their big franchises.

We should have a big 'Pokémon Legends: Z-A' reveal this month with game footage.

Re: Poll: After Three Quiet Months, Will We Finally Get A Nintendo Direct In December?

DollyrotsFan1

Hopefully. It is downright odd we have seen so little information about 'Pokémon Legends: Z-A' when reports before were it was going to be coming out in the first half of 2025. Usually by now we have some pictures, video game footage or information about the new Pokemon that are going to be in the game but with the way things are looking I am starting to doubt we will get 'Pokémon Legends: Z-A' until 2026 or 2027.

Re: Zelda's Voice Actor Would Love To See The Princess In "More" Playable Roles

DollyrotsFan1

@fenlix I personally loved playing as Zelda with her full powers in 'Age of Calamity' and would love an open world game with powers like that over swords. Her powers are amazing and it would be like playing as a superhero in a Zelda game with the things she can do. I mean she can take down dozens of enemies at the same time with beams of light from her hands and float around. Forget spending all the time walking and climbing over mountains when you can float over them. 😅

Re: As Switch Closes The Gap, Sony Officially Confirms PS2 Has Sold "Over" 160 Million Units

DollyrotsFan1

We still have our Playstation 2 and hook it up every now and then to play games like The Simpsons: Hit & Run, The Simpsons Game, The Simpsons: Road Rage, Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Chaos Bleeds, Alias, Sonic Heroes, Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity, Rayman 2: Revolution, Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc, Spyro: A Hero's Tail, Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly, Spider-Man 1, 2 and 3 and Ghostbusters (2009) which was slightly different than the version that was remastered a few years ago and looked more cartoonish and had different villains.

I wish they would re-release some of them on modern consoles especially Sonic Heroes which is one of the best Sonic 3D games imo. When we got an X Box 360 I bought 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Chaos Bleeds', 'The Simpsons: Hit & Run' and 'Sonic Heroes' again for X Box so I could play them on that since it had backwards compatibility.

Re: Nintendo Expands Switch Online's Game Boy Library With Another Classic

DollyrotsFan1

@YunoboCo No. It is a different game. It is similar but all the Donkey Kong Land games were different games than the Donkey Kong Country games. I actually played the Donkey Kong Land games on Gameboy before I played the Donkey Kong Country games on Super Nintendo and I found them to be much easier and was surprised how much harder Donkey Kong Country 3 was compared to Donkey Kong Land 3 in particular. Donkey Kong Land 2 and 'Donkey Kong Country 2 are my two favs and they are the most similar as another member pointed out too.

Re: Nintendo Expands Switch Online's Game Boy Library With Another Classic

DollyrotsFan1

Fantastic news!! I had the original three Donkey Kong Land games on Gameboy and enjoyed playing them but it has been something like 25 years since I last played them (showing my age 😅) so I am looking forward to playing this and hope they release the other two.

I am still hoping we also get Super Mario Land 3: Wario Land. I used to love that game.

Re: After Almost 30 Years, Japan Finally Has A New Best-Selling Pokémon Game

DollyrotsFan1

@Arehexes I don't think the glitches or performance issues were anywhere near as bad as some people make them out to be and the way they talk about them is like 'Scarlet' and 'Violet' are unplayable which they aren't. Unless my youngest Niece and I got different versions than everybody else I can honestly say I didn't have any major problems with 'Pokemon Scarlet' and the DLC worked fine too.

Re: After Almost 30 Years, Japan Finally Has A New Best-Selling Pokémon Game

DollyrotsFan1

That's great to hear. I personally liked 'Pokemon Scarlet' and never got the hate for it. I liked exploring the Paldea region, finding the Titan Pokemon and unlocking new moves for Koraidon and defeating all the Gym Leaders, members of Team Star, I also liked the characters especially Nemona and the DLC was fun too and I enjoyed the story of the Ogerpon in the Teal Mask.

My youngest Niece who is a big Pokemon fan loved it too even more than 'Pokemon Legends: Arceus' and she didn't like 'Pokemon Legends: Arceus much 'cause she thought having Pokemon attack you was scary and had a bad experience with a certain Rapidash with glowing red eyes that scared her.

Re: UK Charts: Sonic X Shadow Generations Hits The Brakes And Slips Out Of The Top Ten

DollyrotsFan1

@Truegamer79 To be fair, a lot of fans liked Sonic Adventure 1 and 2, Sonic Heroes and Sonic Unleashed too including myself and while some of the 3D games were really bad especially 'Sonic the Hedgehog (2006)' I think some of them have been unfairly judged because of the reputations of the bad ones.

There are many other 3D platform games that haven't been as popular as those ones I mentioned above but don't get hate 'cause they aren't Sonic games.

Re: Nintendo Reconfirms Release Windows For Major Upcoming Switch Games

DollyrotsFan1

@somnambulance Yeah. I am hoping we get

Super Mario Odyssey 2 or another new Mario 3D game
Kirby and the Forgotten Land 2 or another new Kirby 3D game
New Donkey Kong Country 3 or a 3D Donkey Kong game
Hyrule Warriors 3
Mario Kart 9
And a new Yoshi or Captain Toad game

Then I will definitely buy it. As much as I have enjoyed the Nintendo Switch I am still annoyed we didn't get a new mainline Donkey Kong game on it since they have released new Donkey Kong games on all the other Nintendo consoles except for Switch and it is like they have tossed Donkey Kong to the side only making remasters of the games that were on Wii and Wii U.

Re: Sonic X Shadow Generations Surpasses One Million Sales In Opening Weekend

DollyrotsFan1

@Sonicka I would love re-releases of Sonic Unleashed and Lost World too but what I would really love to see is Sonic Heroes on one of the modern 'cause there have been multiple 3D Sonic games that have been made available on newer consoles or re-released or remastered since they came out but sadly 'Sonic Heroes' has been left behind and I loved that game and know a lot of other fans that did too when it came out.

What I think would be great is if they made a 3D Collection like Nintendo did for Mario with 'Sonic Adventure 1 and 2', 'Sonic Heroes' and 'Sonic Unleashed.' 😀

Re: Yooka-Replaylee Remaster Officially Confirmed For 'Nintendo Platforms'

DollyrotsFan1

@Xeacons Money for the sequel. Reports have said they are working on a sequel to the original game but have chosen to release this first so I would say it is most likely to use the money they get from this to put towards making the sequel since Playtonic are not a rich company like the previous company the owners worked for.

While the original game wasn't perfect and had its faults there were a lot of things I liked about it and I think the sequel could be even better than the first one. I mean these are the people who created Banjo Kazooie, Banjo Tooie and Donkey Kong 64. Chris Sutherland was the lead programmer for Donkey Kong Country 1 and 2, Banjo Kazooie, Banjo Tooie and Donkey Kong 64. It is not just a fan made project.

Re: Rumour: A Rayman Remake May Be On The Cards At Ubisoft

DollyrotsFan1

@MsJubilee Who is to say it is going to be a flop? Rayman was literally their mascot character for a long time and put them on the map and a lot of fans have been wanting Rayman back. They owe it to long time fans of Rayman to give the character another chance since we were the ones that supported them long before Assassin's Creed, Far Cry and Just Dance.

Re: Rumour: A Rayman Remake May Be On The Cards At Ubisoft

DollyrotsFan1

@silver-crescent They might be testing out the waters with a remake first before making a new game and if the remake sells well they will make a new one. With all the Rayman games there have been though I think if they are going to remaster them they should do 3 like the Spyro the Dragon and Crash Bandicoot games.

Re: Rumour: A Rayman Remake May Be On The Cards At Ubisoft

DollyrotsFan1

Fantastic news!! If there is a Top 5 video game franchises I would like to see comeback with new games they are Donkey Kong, Spyro the Dragon, Rayman, Banjo Kazooie and Wario Land/ World.

Fingers crossed the rumors of a new Spyro game are true too!! My Nieces loved the Spyro Reignited Trilogy. 😀

Re: Xbox Studio Rare Excited About The Return Of Banjo-Tooie Next Week

DollyrotsFan1

@Toastmaster With Rayman I heard another problem is Michel Ancel was not well liked at Ubisoft and he was accused of toxic mismanagement, abusive behaviour and sexual harassment among other things making the chances of a series he created even less likely of a comeback now which is understandable but pretty unfair to fans of the franchise since Rayman is a popular character.

I find Joss Whedon to be a nasty piece of work going on the things that have come out about him but I will always love Buffy and Angel.

Re: Xbox Studio Rare Excited About The Return Of Banjo-Tooie Next Week

DollyrotsFan1

@Toastmaster The people working at Rare now are not the same people that were working there before. Those people now work at Playtonic Games (Playtonic Games was founded in late 2014 by Steve Hurst, Steve Mayles, Gavin Price, Jens Restemeier, Mark Stevenson, and Chris Sutherland, all of whom previously worked at Rare) and they want to continue the Banjo Kazooie games but they won't sell them the IP so they created Yooka-Laylee.

That is why modern Rare don't care about it.It is a similar story with Ubisoft who won't make new Rayman games anymore. The Creator of Rayman (Michel Ancel) is no longer with the company and he was the only one that was trying to get new Rayman games out and was working on a Rayman 4.

Re: Xbox Studio Rare Excited About The Return Of Banjo-Tooie Next Week

DollyrotsFan1

@quinnyboy58 If Nintendo had purchased Rare or Banjo Kazooie we would have multiple Banjo Kazooie games now like Kirby. It is a joke we can't get a new Banjo Kazooie game when so many far less popular franchises have been making comebacks with new games and remakes in the past decade including some that were inspired by Banjo Kazooie.

Re: Nintendo Expands Switch Online's N64 Library Next Week

DollyrotsFan1

@Serpenterror Hopefully you are right. Yeah. The Wii U wasn't very successful but the Virtual Console was one of the things I liked the most on it 'cause it had a lot of games from different consoles including many they don't have on Switch.

I hope we get more Gamecube, Wii and Wii U games on Switch 2 especially Yoshi's Woolly World which was my favourite game on the Wii U which sadly didn't get re-released for Switch and Super Mario Galaxy 2.

Re: Sega Set To Go Head-To-Head With Nintendo With Its Own Retail Store

DollyrotsFan1

@MikeyVL I would be in favor of a new console if they brought back some more of their older game franchises too like Alex Kidd, Wonder Boy, Ecco the Dolphin and Dynamite Dux. The first video game I ever played was Alex Kidd in Miracle World on my Parents' old Sega Master System and I loved that game along with Wonder Boy III: The Dragon's Trap. 😀

Re: Sonic Rumble Mobile Game Won't Use Gacha As "Such Mechanics Tend To Be Shunned Overseas"

DollyrotsFan1

Very disappointed this isn't coming to consoles especially with the amount of characters that are in the game 'cause I would love to be able to play as Cream, Rogue, Blaze, Charmy Bee, Espio, Vector, Silver etc and have wanted them to release a game with a big character selection like this 'cause Sonic has so many characters we don't often get the chance to play as.

'Hello Kitty Island Adventure' is coming to consoles next year though so hopefully this will too.

Re: Ubisoft's Disastrous 2024 May Lead To The Company Going Private

DollyrotsFan1

It serves them right for what they done to Rayman. Without Rayman there would be no Ubisoft but Ubisoft got too big for its own boots and turned its back on the character that made them famous and their long term fans that have been wanting a new Rayman game. Nintendo said last year they are constantly getting mail from fans asking when they are going to make a new Rayman game and they have had to tell them they would love to make a new Rayman game but they don't own the rights to make one.

If they are not going to make a new Rayman they should sell Rayman to Nintendo who wants to do it and will give Rayman the respect it deserves. Same with Rare with Banjo Kazooie which would have gotten multiple sequels like Kirby if it had been under Nintendo.

Re: Penny's Big Breakaway Dev Downsizes Due To "Volatile Market Conditions"

DollyrotsFan1

@Sonicka Yeah. That would explain it. As a fan of Platformer games especially 3D ones I was looking forward to playing it and we get some Indie 3D Platformer games released here like 'Yooka Laylee', 'Ary and the Secret of Seasons', 'New Super Lucky's Tale', 'A Hat In Time', 'Clive N Wrench' and ''Koa And The Five Pirates of Mara' so I just assumed we would get this one especially since it was made by the same developers of 'Sonic Mania' which was a popular game.

Re: Penny's Big Breakaway Dev Downsizes Due To "Volatile Market Conditions"

DollyrotsFan1

@Poco_Lypso I have been playing 'Star Wars: Outlaws' on X Box Series X and don't think it is that bad but it is not as good as good as the 'Star Wars Jedi' games and I can't wait for the third game in that series. The two 'Star Wars: Jedi' games are by far my favorite Star Wars games and Cal Kestis, BD-1, Merrin and Greez are some of my fav Star Wars characters.

Re: Penny's Big Breakaway Dev Downsizes Due To "Volatile Market Conditions"

DollyrotsFan1

I was looking forward to getting this game but for some unknown reason they didn't release it here in Australia. We get most video games here that are released on Nintendo, X Box and Playstation consoles so I am not sure why this one wasn't released in stores here. It is pretty disappointing and reminds me of when we couldn't get 'Kirby's Dream Collection' on Nintendo Wii.
