@LikelySatan Reading your comment kicked off a wild turn of events for me.
Curious about the Heroes of Light soundtrack, i decided to play through those tracks in Final Bar Line with a more attentive ear.
Couldn’t find the case i keep that one in.. A couple of weeks ago i was out of town and had taken that case with me and so then i realised i hadn’t seen it since.
I called the place i had stayed and they said they would check for it and call me back. Queue me desperately tearing my apartment to pieces in a mad search for the last couple hours until they just called me back a few minutes ago saying they had it. I don’t know why it took so long. They said they would ship it and i told them not to and that i’ll drive the 5 hours tomorrow if the roads permit to retrieve it.
Case contains MH rise, Sunbreak, Smash Ultimate, Minecraft, all the Switch Pokemons , Capcom Fighting Collection, Theatrythym FBL, Resident Evil Triple Pack, RE Revelations Collection, and Bioshock collection.
I want to thank you for inadvertently bringing my missing game case to my attention!
This is the first Southpark game i was interested in, so i’m disappointed. I’ll have to check out more feedback on the writing , but the Switch version is certainly out of the question. Thanks for the review!
Here’s my list:
1. Tonberries
2. Final Fantasy VI
3. Final Fantasy VII
4. Final Fantasy IV
5. Final Fantasy
6. Final Fantasy V
-I don’t like the games below this point—
7. Final Fantasy VIII
8. Final Fantasy IX (8 and 9 are really close because they both have stuff i like, but i’m putting 8 above 9, because 9 has Zidane)
9. Final Fantasy X
10. Final Fantasy XIII
11. Final Fantasy II

Spinoffs: Mystic Quest(ugh), Theatrythym (played all 3, love all 3) , Explorers (good), World of FF(okay.. i might like it more if i hadn’t forced myself to 100% it in order to unlock that super cute credits video), Chocobo GP (excellent Kart racer destroyed by a moronic business model)
Sunday morning is a holy time. It is a time of worship to pay homage to and get closer to that which watches over us and carries us through troubled waters.
You know i’m talking about video games though, baby!
Let’s gooo.
I don’t usually play games in the morning, actually. I come here(and Time Extension) to read stuff written about them by people who love them. And write my own impassioned opinions.
I’ll play later in the day.
@Theghostofkeithmoon @-wc- @Vyacheslav333 The internet tells me that Dual Audio is a function on Samsung manufactured products that allows the user to connect their device to two different sets of bluetooth speakers or headphones/earbuds.
I played Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen two years ago after buying it on sale. I loved all the ideas the game had, but did not enjoy my playthrough.
I feel if i played a class other than a magic user, i might have enjoyed the game more. Although , unlike Dark Souls, your success in combat is more determined by math, rather than skill. So melee isn’t quite as thrilling as in Dark Souls, though it certainly is more thrilling than avoiding enemy attacks and firing off spells occasionally.
I also recall a lot of general clunkiness and an occasional lack of clarity as to what the game required of me. Which i can get past, enjoy even, but as i was already not liking the combat, it just became an irritation.
I did love the exchanging of npcs. It gives a sense that you are part of a community without having to actually interact with randos(who, by and large, suck). Which is perfect for me.
Also, i thought i beat the game, but apparently there was more.
While i will probably never go back to it, i would encourage anyone interested in this title, and who’s read this far lol, to give it a try. It’s an interesting game and though i didn’t like it, i respect the ambition and creativity.
I won’t be playing the second game.
@LikelySatan lol no it wasn’t deleted. I didn’t realize i was in a different thread when i read it. And then was replying to your comment, and returned here to reference it and it was gone, so assumed it had gotten deleted.
In a nutshell, i’m a moron.
I get too excited when people diss Galaxy because i dislike it so much.
Apologies for the confusion and waste of time!
@LikelySatan Pretty sure it was yours. You were typing about people qualifying their love of Sunshine, yet Galaxy often being perceived as beyond reproach.
Switch - I downloaded a few cheap games. Yesterday, i grabbed Hello Kitty(&Sanrio Friends) Kruisers. It’s way better than you’d expect , but not so good that you won’t want to light yourself on fire while playing just to feel something. Scullion gave it a 4(out of 10). I think he’s way off. Easily a 4.5. Symptoms post playthrough: i ordered a Kuromi plush.
Also trying out a rogue-lite(like whatever) that’s been in my backlog foe-evah: Fury Unleashed. Only got a couple runs under my belt, but i’m liking it so far.
I noticed Let’s Build a Zoo is on sale. Might grab it.
PC - My PC gaming buddy is playing Dragon’s Dogma 2 this weekend so i’ll be jumping into DeepRock Galactic for the Easter egg hunt. Solo. Boohoo me. Another recommendation from the fine folks over at Time Extension: i’ve been playing Froggo’s Adventure: Verdant Venture. It’s a short platformer that’s so cute it’ll put hearts in your eyes. Also, more Ginga Force.
The Table - Hoping to get some DnD in tonight. I made the dungeon too big. She’s still working her way through it. But having fun, so i guess that’s all that matters. Might play a game of Everdell on Sunday night. It’s a worker placement game in which you build a city populated by cute lil critterz. It’s cute AF.
@Thomystic The Ninja Gaiden games had cinematic openings and they were released well before the 16 bit era. So cinematic openings had been seen before.
I’m sure there are other examples.
I’ve beaten Super Metroid probably more than any other game i’ve ever played.
It’s easily my best Metroid game, and after seeing where the franchise has gone, i know it will never be topped.
@Vyacheslav333 I don’t think of plot as being a significant reason for any fighting game to exist or not, but i see your point. I don’t understand why Hibiki crosses over into everything either.
@Rozetta Yes while they are both excellent games, Langrisser 2 in particular, deserves to stand amongst these greats. Sorry they are not available to you!
@Synecdoche A few years back you say? Yeah, i think i’ll keep waiting to try it again lol. I usually try to beat games even if i don’t like them but, like you with FF X, i just dropped it eventually. Great music tho.
@JimNorman: I have it on good authority that you are a connoisseur of spots on various species of Pokemon. I have a Spinda, and it has a spot right above its right eye that looks kind of strange. Do you think it’s a good spot or a bad spot?
Lovely review and i thank you for it! I’m going to mention that the more familiar one is with Tove’s Moomin books, the more one will get out of the game, as almost every quest and creature seen is taken or inspired from the source.
The take of a random Tove fan on the internet: i find this game vital.
It is very short, so wait for a sale if money/time is a concern.
@RBRTMNZ Never played the first one. I found a physical copy of the second for dirt cheap, so i grabbed it on a whim. Thanks for the heads up on the difficulty, though. I’ll hold off until i play the main game.
Switch: Most of my gaming this week will be on Switch, as i won’t be home for a few days. Playing a lil rpg, For a Vast Future. Its got gb style graphics and prioritizes player choice over everything else, including story. It’s alright. Next, i think i’ll try Melon Journey.
Picked up Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag on a whim. I only ever played the first one. I like stabbing people and then avoiding the authorities. In the game. Snufkin: Melody of Moominvalley is everything i need it to be and a welcome boon after learning of Akira Toriyama’s passing. Which is something that has been bothering me more than i’d like. I was a fan. Raw Fury really knows Moomins. If you are a a devotee of Tove’s works, it’s essential.
My partner saw The Survivalists on sale , and since we’ll be gaming online this week, it’s a good fit. We played it last night for a bit. Good times. I almost starved to death, but i did craft a sweet wall hanging to adorn the hay bale we’re calling a wall. Again, in the game.
PC: Ginga Force and Natsuki Chronicles . Excellent shmups i picked up dirt cheap thanks to a heads up from Time Extension. I’m bummed i have to wait to get home to play. No Steam deck!
The table- I might bring Marvel United with me. It’s a fun co-op game that is short and sweet and has chibi Marvel minis. It can be played solo. No DnD this week.
Take care, all!
@Vil There is a Swedish language option, among a ton of others. The dialogue is all text, though. The voicework is foley and no actual words are spoken.

Haven’t seen Mutant Mayhem yet. I was a huge tmnt fan for a few years as a child, but i checked out when the animated t.v. show started, as it was too much of a departure from the original comics.
There aren’t a lot of good Turtles movies. Well there’s one, unless i end up liking Mutant Mayhem.
Also, i think most of the Turtles games are exceptionally bad, barring the SNES Tournament Fighters, the original arcade game and its sequel, and (of course) the excellent, Shredder’s Revenge.
While my taste in Turtles-related media is quite honed, i’m willing to try about any game.
Whoever designed the fir trees must have had no time left for consideration.
Looking at them makes me wish i’d never been born.
Still might pick this one up for all the kawaii.
I’d thank you for the review, but i resent that you are getting paid for playing with Legos. Not that i haven’t enjoyed such fortune myself, but when i did it, i had to employ subterfuge.
Still, a lovely review to read and photos to enjoy.
KI:Uprising would be nice but they’d have to overhaul the control scheme. EverOasis was a fun little game, but i would just prefer a sequel.
I wouldn’t mind running through Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate again.
Maybe there’s others.. i don’t really care that much. We’re all just waiting for the next Switch, right?
Addition- Others mentioned Pushmo , Kirby TripleD n PlanetRobobot and a Castlevania DS collection Yes!
@JohnnyMind I doubt they’ll bring the MHStories amiibos back. To my knowledge, they were released in Japan at the same time the first game hit shelves(2016).
They might not have sold well as they were dirt cheap up until a couple of years ago. I imported both the Barioth and Qurupeco for less than 30 dollars US.
That being said, maybe they would do better overseas and maybe they’ll re-release or make new ones. Doubt it, though.
