There's a new item distribution available in Pokémon Sword and Shield and it's only on offer for a single day - so be sure to act fast!
This time around it's a Life Orb. As explained by Serebii.net, this item was given out in the Spring Single Tournament livestream from Pokémon Korea. The code you'll need this time around is: SPR1NGPA0R1
"An item to be held by a Pokémon. It boosts the power of moves but at the cost of some HP on each hit."
Earlier this week, Sword and Shield was also updated to version 1.3.2. It fixed an issue with icons not displaying properly during wireless battles and also resolved several other issues to improve the gameplay experience. You can view the full patch notes in our previous post.
Have you redeemed the Life Orb yet? Are you still playing Sword and Shield on a regular basis? Leave a comment down below. View all of the past code distributions for Sword and Shield in our full guide.

Saves me 25 BP.
Shiny versions of the new Legendaries or Regis would be nice. Just putting that out there.
@Obito_Sigma, yeah, but free item is still free item, so.
@Fandabidozi since 5th Generation they shiny locked the region/generation of region Legendaries, so they probably be catchable with new main line games that are not Galar like: Brilliant Diamond, Shiny Pearl, Legends: Arceus. So please be patient.
@SViper So saves me 25 BP.
@Obito_Sigma yeah but a free item is still a free item.
I get that it's a free item and all. But it's a free very cheap item that you can get very very easily.
I said this last time, but how about something that's actually a little hard to get, like an ability patch?
I don't understand why they never did any more special raid events like the Mewtwo and Zeraora weekends they did. Those were super fun and rewarding. But I bet a lot of players don't even know about them because if you weren't playing during those two specific weekends, you missed out.
But before all the haters start bashing on SWSH for the 79 trillionth time... Game Freak and Pokemon putting content content in their games that they don't end up using or using more than once is nothing new and goes back all the way to gen 1 with Mew being in the game but unobtainable without glitches. Gen 2 had the GS ball and Celebi, gen 3 had a bunch of Legendary events for Mew, Deoxys, and others that saw only super limited release if you went to special IRL events. Gen 4 had a whole unused room where you would summon, fight and catch Arceus, Gen 5 had an unreleased TM and unused themes, gen 6 had AZ's special Flowette... Do I really need to list more?
Someone at Game Freak or Pokemon seems to like making things and not using them or not using them very much for no obvious reasons.
An event to obtain the opposite steed/new Regi would be nice.
I have both versions, but I'm not really bovvered to play through Sword right now.
Since I am here for the pokemons and story instead the competitive aspect of the game, I'll take it.
A pretty underwhelming Item if you have the DLC considering they're super easy to craft. Neat, but I'm still hunting for that Shiny Eiscue from last time so I'll pass.
@Fandabidozi Ehm, the new Regis aren't shiny locked and can therefore be shiny hunted
Or do you mean you want them as an event cause in that cause I have to admit that event shinies are very boring imo. I'd rather hunt them myself cause that way they have more value to me
EA: *Uses lootboxes
Nintendo: Right that down! Right that down!
@mariomaster96 It's correct that they aren't shiny locked. But apparently they are also not affected by the shiny charm for some reason. From what I've read, people aren't sure if it's a glitch or deliberate. But if people want them, they have to get them at full odds.
Of course with all the hackers out there, anyone playing on ladder probably thinks Nintendo give out Shiny Regieliki on a daily basis...
Laaame! I'm pretty sure we can just mass produce those through the Cramomatic! It'd be so nice to get another rare ball. The Dream Ball was pretty a nice freebie, as the Delibird raids in the Crown Tundra can be a real grind sometimes!
@B_Lindz That's not what this is. Not even remotely close.
@B_Lindz These are free non-random items distributed to all gamers.
Not comparable to lootboxes.
Bad: ten minutes late.
Good: I don't even know what a Life Orb is.
Been waiting for something to pull me back in after a year of not touching the game. I passed on the DLC but this just might be what does it.
Huh... this game is still alive? Well, what do you know.
Sword and shield just keep on giving.
@B_Lindz You really think this is comparable to Loot Boxes?
