I'd never notice something like compressed audio in a game like that anyway. And yes I forgot they'd improved the frame rate quite a lot for areas like Blighttown, so it's actually the far superior version.

I have contempt for anyone who pays money for this.

Dark Souls is probably my favourite of the ports, because of how it's an almost perfect copy of the original console game. Nothing was downgraded as far as I'm aware.

Don't avoid it based on just the ending. I really hated the ending but that's a huge mistake. The first 2 games are both self-contained stories in their own right.
And even the third game is brilliant for the first 90% of it.

Porting Mass Effect 3 to the Wii U was frankly more than they've done for the entire Switch.

Well apparently Xbox is doing theirs earlier than June. I'm cool with having it more spread out this year!

Sure. I agree. But the controversy here was due to activists on resetera getting offended at some developer's opinions on transgenderism, that were expressed in private. The developers didn't do anything to anyone. They simply expressed an opinion in private.

The problem is the claim that you don't want to be "persecuted or harassed", very quickly morphs into "I have a right to control everyone's opinions". Those are 2 very different positions.

It's why it's important to distinguish between words and actions. Did someone actually do something to hurt you? Or did they just speak words, that you're free to ignore.

There are no "horrible comments" in the game or any "disgruntled employees".

There's a single joke in the game where a bottle of soap says "Ogay" on it (as a pun on Olay). That's literally all there is. It's completely trivial nonsense.

A group of activists/maniacs on Resetera simply learned that some of the devs had opinions they disliked, so they deliberately tried to turn it into a scandal in order to ruin the game and the developer's reputations. The audience overwhemingly sided with the developer and told them not to remove anything, which they mostly didn't.

That's all that happened.

Excellent feature. I remember with the Final Fantasy X remaster how I liked about 50% of the old tracks and 50% of the new tracks. On the Vita version it never gave you the option to switch between, which was really dumb.

Only 9 million PS4s in Japan. Those are fairly good numbers. They're slightly higher than FFXV. And you have to assume the digital numbers will be significantly higher due to the virus.

It didn't make you play the whole game again. It made you replay the final chapter 4 times over, because they get caught in a kind of groundhog day timeloop scenario. You just assume that it won't actually make you fight a whole series of bosses 4 times over, but then that's exactly what it makes you do. I just gave up and watched the ending on youtube instead.

Should've apologised for the last quarter of Bravely Default instead. That was a great game until they made us do the same events 4 times over, or whatever it was.
