Re: Blizzard Has No Plans To Add Cross-Platform Progression To Overwatch Right Now

DanTheSausage

You can't have crossplatform progression if you're pulling statistics from PC and consoles, which have had people play for years now and have established ranks. What rank do you give a seasoned master player on PC when he transfers his data to the switch?

Crossplay would also be super unfair considering the superior PC platform and console players already being 3 years ahead of the switch.

Re: This Tiny Nintendo Switch Dock Has Just Obliterated Its Kickstarter Goal

DanTheSausage

The one thing that bugs me hard: Don't you need to carry a bulky HDMI cable with you anyway? I mean, most outlets are placed 30-40cm above the floor and will require you to have 3 meter HDMI cable going from the dock in the outlet, to your TV.

I find a better solution is to buy a 5$ shell for your original dock, making it super small and taking that with you. If you're creative, you could make everything fit in a small pouch, plugged in and ready, just waiting for you to power it and connect to the tv.

Re: Soapbox: Should I Wait For Switch 'Pro' Or Is The 'New' Switch SKU Worth An Upgrade?

DanTheSausage

I'd consider a new switch if they enable bluetooth and have a proper social network. Can't be possible that they haven't seen how to do it properly. If you can't do it, collaborate with discord.

You got the most powerful mobile soc on the marked, but can't use bluetooth, THE thing that makes something truly mobile and tangle free. Not to mention that you need to use your phone instead of your console to communicate or party up...

Re: Soapbox: Sorry Nintendo, Joy-Con Drift Means I Won't Buy Switch Lite At Launch

DanTheSausage

It's the first time i've heard of that issue. The analog sticks on EVERY controller ever made can start drifting after some heavy abuse. Has happened to my PS3 dualshock after some flying lesson.

Why people won't send it to warranty or at least do a video showing their joycons misbehaving instead of directly doing a lawsuit is beyond me.

Edit: If i got the drifting issue after i had abused my joycon, i'd just get a replacement analogstcik for like 3€ and repair it in 20mins~

Re: Rumour: Dataminer Supposedly Uncovers Tech Specs For New And Improved Switch

DanTheSausage

I've posted it a while ago in the forum, but this is old news. Kernel Devs have long time ago revealed what the new tegra was all about. Nvidia had to release a refresh since the "old" X1 couldn't support Android 9.0 and above. The new specs where in a XDA article and where "higher max boost" for the GPU, better power management.

The original XDA developer article has some additional news on the SoC, go check it out.

Re: Game Freak Prefers To "Implement New Things Fairly Gradually" In Pokémon

DanTheSausage

They always have done some nice thing like trainer clothing, pokemon ami and not needing those stupid VM anymore. BUT, they tend to revert, remove the good stuff for other things and call it exclusive stuff of a specific pokemon game. Am i gona run back to XY to walk around in different outfits because ORAS didn't have it?

Let's not forget about the greatest mechanic for pokemon ever, mega evolution! Replaced by awkward posing for a flashy attack. Now that to got replaced, by big ass red glowing pogemanz!

Re: Digital Foundry Investigates New Chip Potentially Destined For Switch Mini And Switch Pro

DanTheSausage

I've already posted this on the forum a while back but there is a new revision of the Tegra X1 and we already know what's different there.

  • New Revision was made so that refreshes or products that use the new X1 can run Android 9.0 or higher.
  • A bit higher maximum clock speed for the GPU.
  • Better power usage. I say a bit more efficient?

Re: Is This Our First Real Look At Nintendo Switch Mini?

DanTheSausage

It took me 15 seconds to find that concept/moc of a switch mini on google. Ffs, you even reported on the fandesign:
https://www.nintendolife.com/news/2017/04/the_switch_mini_isnt_real_yet_but_these_mock-ups_sure_are_convincing

If that truly was the switch mini, i'd be disappointed in nintendo. Why? The left joystick is not usable in a small handheld form. And in that size, the triggers would be secondary shoulder buttons, for ergonomics sake. You'll be using your middle fingers to support the back of the handheld, no way you're gona use them to press the triggers.

Let's hope the real design copies the PSvita 2000, with two additional shoulder buttons.

Re: Pokémon's Junichi Masuda Explains The Decision To Limit Sword And Shield's Pokédex

DanTheSausage

That's one bad decision. Even the worst pokemon has a cult following. Every pokemon has it's lovers, haters, merch and is a part of pokemon history. Cutting some away just means you never intended those to be more than fillers because you're bad at making them in the first place.

I swear, if they include that's stupid sandcastle or trashbag but not others... I just smell that this is one big stupid way to limit the transfer of cheated pokemon from old versions.
