@graviton Mario had plenty of competition in the NES and SNES days, almost every game on those systems was a platformer.

• Very few of them
• Make them related to the main story
• Great reward (you can do this is you have very few side quests)

The order of these games is more confusing than Xbox’s naming scheme.

@blindsquarel They could not allow people to sell any system that has not launched yet. People literally pre-order and then sell the pre-order. Also, they could put a cap on how much a low stock system can sell for (buy it now). Maybe 10% over MSRP.

Make up your minds. When Switch is outselling the others, it's a competitor. When we start talking about specs all of a sudden Nintendo isn't competing against the others.

@Cordyceps Well, Bethesda just keeps remaking this game without making the next game. When people ask for Wind Waker on Switch, it isn't because the franchise has stalled.

Nintendo should have no legal standing for consoles and games they no longer sell. If people want to compare this to physical goods (even though a copy doesn't eliminate the original) then consider that GM has no interest in a stolen 2005 Yukon as they quit selling those long ago.

@blindsquarel They like emulation just fine when they are selling it you themselves. As for pirates, I really don’t care. Nintendo is still going to make a fortune from this game. Let’s not pretend that pirates are going to bankrupt Nintendo.

Played the demo, pretty good. Kinda like to have SNES loading times with this SNES inspired game. Walking speed is slow.

People seem to forgive the lack of story because the games aren’t big on story. Games have gameplay to prop them up,, movies don’t. They absolutely could have and should have had a better story. I give it a 5.

@UltimateOtaku91 You must be a fly on the wall in the studio to know that they are primarily targeting kids. Either that or you are just making it up.

If a 5 year old played Super Mario Bros in 1985, they would be 42 or 43 now. I would guess that there are more adult Mario players than kids.It just doesn’t make sense to discount reviews because they aren’t coming from kids.

@JohnnyMind Liw expectations are better, that way you can be surprised instead of disappointed. However, an educated expectation is the best and there is a pattern here.

@JohnnyMind it’s not excessive pessimism to recognize a pattern, drip feeding is what Nintendo does and has done since the Wii VC.

There is no way I would get a replacement Switch that isn’t an OLED. This is pointless.
