Question, why is there a picture of Ash from the cartoon? He is not in the games at all. Even yellow version has Red, not Ash.

But can I give my horses goofy names like Mine That Bird, Notacatbutallama, or ARRRRRR? (Those are actual names of real racehorses)

Eh, I was going to get red but my eshop balance is just about 75 cents short of ten bucks and I'm flat broke aside from rent money so I won't get it...Not til next month after rent and stuff is paid, at least. I really wish they didn't make the price so high. Really, one dollar cheaper and I could have gotten it on release day. I need a second job for video game monies.

Majora's Mask and Wind Waker have been butting heads with each other for my favorite Zelda game spot for over a decade now. I go back and forth between which one I'll say is my favorite quite often, but I really can''t choose one. Ocarina of Time, Spirit Tracks, Skyward Sword and Minish Cap are all close for third so picking a third game here was tough.

I still don't know which game to get. I'm not exactly an expert on Fire Emblem or rpgs in general, so I don't think Conquest is the right choice...I want the option to pick both difficulties. I will surely want to replay the game on hard mode after playing first on easy, but if they are split between two games then that is not happening. My wallet will decide for me and get Birthright...I'm not buying two games just for a new difficulty level.

Thank goodness, now I can play the game fully without having to do this embarrassing cringey hentai crap. Getting the game for sure now.

Well...Good? I thought that feature was freakin' weird and to be frank it was one of the things putting me off from the game. Since it was necessary to do in order to gain boosts in battle between characters, I would have had to do it because I want those boosts. But eugh. The thought of petting an anime character's face while they look dreamily at you...Haha, nope. Uncomfortable. No way, sensei. I only want to pet pokemon on my 3ds.

I'm not a kid, I just don't have a debit card anymore because I kept getting charged surprise fees and it was annoying. It pushed my account into the negative and made me owe an extra $30 fee several times. I don't want to deal with that anymore, so I don't have a debit card or bank account...Not having one is annoying, but it's better than owing money for fees.

@Fee Who said I'm flat? I am actually a D cup, but I think tits are overrated because of that. I wish I were flat. These things are cumbersome and sometimes painful. Don't get me started on the impossibly complicated and expensive terror that is bra shopping. Big boobs are for the birds.

@Slaz I don't know about the Japanese ones but there's no way they would make total reprints of the original cards in English. The dates and company info on the bottom at least would be changed, since the cards are no longer printed by Wizards of the Coast. Printing new card products with the Wizards info on them might not be legal...So with different information on the bottom line, the "reprints" if that's what they are will be distinguishable from the original base set.

According to Pokebeach, none of this is confirmed and it was not stated exactly what is being printed in this deck. This may not be a base set reprint. I don't think any of those links says anything about what a casual/hardcore game is supposed to be. It says what different groups tend to play, but what are these groups? How are they defined? How are the games defined? PC gaming is considered casual? Liking puzzle games makes you a casual gamer? I don't understand, it's a really broad and vague set of definitions they've got there. And it says nothing about what "hardcore" is. Is "core console" hardcore? Last I knew, PC gamers were the "hardcore master race", or whatever the heck they call themselves. Can't omnigamers be either casual or core?

...This seems really pointless and dumb. but I will never say something like XCX is fit for casual gamers looking for something light and quick to jump into. That would be bad advice. D:

@Xenocity I define casual as something that is easy to pick up and play for a little while every once in a while, and hardcore are games that are best played often and long due to deep game mechanics, which is what Xenoblade Chronicles X is. So we obviously have different definitions of hardcore/casual. What is yours?

I just really, REALLY wouldn't want to recommend XCX to someone who is looking for something "casual".

Kid Icarus Uprising would hands down be my number one for 3DS, but I'm not sure how many would share that opinion. MH4U and Majora are solid, though. Completely agree with the Wii U choices.

@Xenocity Xenoblade Chronicles X, casual? This isn't a game you can just pick up and play for a few minutes every other week. This one needs the player to be committed and put in massive hours to actually learn the huge amount of game mechanics, and requires your undivided attention or you will miss a lot of split-second battle cues and get slaughtered in a tough fight. It is definitely not for a casual player looking for a quick easy romp. I'd call it hardcore, myself, unless the hardcore you mean is the gritty M-rated sex, blood and gore kind of hardcore. That it is not.

Yes, this ls definitely a thing that needs to be changed! So many people besides myself are complaining about it on the places I frequent. For me it is actually painful...I have a decently large tv and turned the sharpness and contrast up high and the text is still too small to see without having to squint and get up close. I get headaches easily from this, and it is severely limiting my enjoyment of the game. I actually haven't played for several days just because I don't want another eye headache.

@Megumi When we are already using fairly large tvs, getting within a few feet to read and still having trouble means there is still a problem.

I want Sakurai to do whatever game he wants if he doesn't want to make a new Smash soon. If he burns himself out trying to top the amount of content each time every few years, this series will surely grow stale and, well, bad. The latest game was massive enough that I won't mind if we wait a long time for the next one. Besides, a new IP or Kid Icarus from him would be freakin' awesome, too! Or maybe someone else could take over the next Smash, after all. Better than Sakurguy burning himself out. He makes great games, so that would suck on many levels.

I showed my nephew this game and now he wants a Wii U to play it(And Mario Maker). I think I'm doing a better job marketing than Nintendo right now, lol. Joking aside, they need to up their marketing campaigns. This had no business falling off the chart in only the second week.

@kensredemption You really think I should have expected the usb to not be any good? I had every reason to believe it would be a regular usb that works like any other. Why wouldn't I? Who programs a usb to not work? And artbooks usually have concept art and drawings, not loads of screenshots. What unboxing videos show how the usb worked and showed the inner pages of the artbook? I also don't think unboxing videos were done when preorders went up unless somebody had a time machine. I don't see how it's my fault that the items aren't as good as advertised...

Is it really too much for NOA to do to make this a regular usable usb? It's dumb that we have to go through all this trouble to get any use out of the darn thing...And we can't even move the music to our computer without being tricky and using loopholes(which I don't understand how to do, being computer illiterate...). Still disappointed in this whole special edition...The artbook isn't even that good. It's chock-full of regular screenshots. I should have just bought the regular copy of the game and saved the extra $38.

Tumblrmons, gotta tumbl 'em all!

Plenty of people seem to be really adverse to Tumblr...But really, if you stay away from the "controversy" side as I like to call it, then you have plenty of fun dorky stuff to gawk at like a dumbo on the nerd side. Lots of fanart, silly posts, puns, general fan gushing, cracktastic fanfiction, you name it. The fandom side can be pretty fun.

@manu0 The Xenoblade X artbook is okay, but a lot of the "art" in it is just screenshots from the game and the cover is paperback. It certainly is'nt worth the extra $30 alone and the other two items aren't good, so all in all I'm disappointed with the special edition. Seeing this fancy-shmancy special edition here makes me feel worse. I'll bet it costs about the same as the Xenoblade one, too.

Now why couldn't the Xenoblade Chronicles X special edition have a nice soundtrack like this? Or a figure? instead we got an ugly usb with crummy problems.

Sad that she's not Link's sister, though. She could have been a re-imagining of Aryll. But this means I can have my headcanon that Linkle is the offspring of Pinkle and Tingle. XD

There is something very off-putting about these kinds of gritty "westernized" portrayals of anime-ish video game characters with angry, hardened faces. But not because of the art itself. These fanarts you guys have been sharing of Link recently are good, especially this one which is freaking fantastic, but it aaaaaaiiiiiin't Link. Someone above said they "just don't get it". It's a lot like how that Kid Icarus game that got cancelled several years ago was turning out. They tried to make a Pit unlike the bubbly young dorky Pit that Nintendo wanted, and it just wasn't a Nintendo Pit. Same here, it lacks the sort of silly Nintendo character charm and tries to be darker and grittier than what we're used to, so it is kind of weird. (And I am very grateful Kid Icarus did NOT go in that direction, phew!)

But this art is freakin' sweet. I applaud!

It will be a surprise direct announcing a new Metroid, F-Zero, Kid Icarus, and five new IPs, Final Fantasy seven remake to be coming to Wii U, and also showing two hours of footage from Starfox and Zelda U with a release date for the latter. I can dream.

I don't know how to format computer stuff to save my life and I don't like the look of this thing now that I see it up close, so this heavy tiny thing is really useless. Such a let down.

"Not technically possible" just means they don't want to put the effort into coding for a different type of hardware. Not unreasonable, but I wish they wouldn't word it like the Wii u is too weak to run the game or something. It's perfectly capable, it's just extra unwanted work for them to make the changes and they should just say so.

Bummer, though, I would have backed it if it were on Wii U. I have none of the platforms it is headed to...So I didn't bother to back it.

The whole hardcore vs casual thing is dumb. Let's all just play some games and have a good time.

I hope they at least mention Xenoblade Chronicles X at this thing. So far I've seen not one mention of it in any awards lists for this year.

@DontPlayDumb The matching probably should have been added, but it might be a moot point now. At least half of the "players" you face in multiplayer nowadays are actually bots, because hardly anyone plays anymore. The game needs a boost in sales and popularity to get people playing again.

@DontPlayDumb The weapons are awarded to players at the end of matches completely at random, I think.

I dunno, I thought this game's multi was fun. Are you complaining about the lack of things like player stats and leaderboards? That's something that could have been added, but it's not something necessary.

@DontPlayDumb Wait, what is strange about it? If you are on a team that loses, of course you lose too. And Vice Versa. You don't somehow get to win if your team lost or lose if your team won.

What about Free-For-All mode? You aren't in teams in that mode. You fight player vs player. Try that if you don't like playing on teams.

Eh, still looks funky in HD. Twilight Princess was never a very pretty game and I was never fond of the color palette, and having HD textures and stuff slapped on it doesn't make it look much better. I don't really care that there are super-spiffy HD remakes...The new less-fuzzy graphics in the Wii U version are good enough for me. I'm really just interested in the new game features they are adding to it, though. What will the Wolfmiibo do?

Also, my computer is garbage with electricity running through it and can't run a game more complicated than Undertale, so I wouldn't be able to play the fan HD remake, anyway.

Side note not really related but sort of related: It's probably good that I'm not hung up on graphics, otherwise I wouldn't bother getting my grubby mitts on a PS2 this weekend to play Chrono Cross and some Castlevania games. I finally get to play some non-nintendo system classics I've been eyeing for years. Can't wait. Screw all the HD hubbub, I'm getting a PS2 soon!

Yet another 2015 Top Ten or award thing for the "whole year" ignoring the December games...Poor Xenoblade has no chance for awards and accolades solely because of timing. Will they do this next year when Zelda Wii U releases in November/December(The most likely release time, I think)? These kinds of things should really wait until January.

I can't believe this guy loses his case, but the magician guy who sued for Kadabra bending spoons like he does won and made it so they could never again print another Kadabra card. These seem like similar cases, different outcome.
