Nintendo has just confirmed the European release date for the 3DS RPG Bravely Second End Layer.
The title will launch on February 26th 2016, and will come in standard and limited "Deluxe Collector's Edition" packages. The latter includes a figure, CD soundtrack and artbook.
The original Bravely Default is one of the system's best role-players, and we awarded it a handsome 9/10 score in our review.

YESSSS! My body is ready. This is the best time ever to be an rpg fan!
Is it 2016 yet?
The waiting! T__T (And yet I'm still not happy with the music...)
@Jordie Agreed. Odd that they changed the composers for this one.
Loved the first one (well most of it!) so will be on this.
Would've preferred a release date for FE Fates.
@tealicious Ah, that's a shame :/
Regardless, Q1 2016 is looking amazing for RPG fans in Europe : Bravely Second, Etrian Odyssey 2, Stella Glow, Yokai Watch, Fire Emblem Fates, Legend of Legacy, Final Fantasy Explorers, what a great lineup!
I'll get the special edition. I'm glad the Agnès figure that comes with this one is much better than the one in the first game's special edition. That thing is just plain horrible.
I would love to know how many pages are in that artbook cause I love getting artbooks in collectors editions?
@SilentHunter382
Some store images say it's 250+ pages, so it's definitely there among the greatest ones offered with Limited Editions.
@Tuulenpoika Oh damn that is a lot more then what I was hoping it was going to be. I think I will be upgrading to the limited edition now. Thanks.
Thank goodness it's this late into February. At that point, I will be done with all my work for university and open to play the game. But Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth has priority!
@Zekrom025 @Jordie When I first heard the music, i thought the same as you, but the I listen to it a bit more and TRUST ME, the music is really good (ESPECIALLY near the end)
Now why couldn't the Xenoblade Chronicles X special edition have a nice soundtrack like this? Or a figure? instead we got an ugly usb with crummy problems.
Sprcial edition for the first one ran out before i got the chance to pick it up. i must have this one
@Crimzonlogic well, you guys got the amazing packaging and big art book.
I hope NA gets this version too. You guys get all of the sexy special editions while the Americans barely get three songs on a CD and a soft cover art book.
The soundtrack CD makes the special edition very appealing. Usually I don't get special editions unless a soundtrack is bundled in with it.
February as a better month for games than November, now that's weird.
Looking forward to this. The first one was so close to being a great game, but for me, what they chose to do with the second half completely ruined it as an experience for me. Hopefully they won't have made the same mistake again. 2016 is shaping up to be one of the best years of the 3DS's life in the west. Going out with a bang.
Would love to see the first one on discount again in the eShop. I might purchase it then. The physical version is no longer sold so pretty hard to get anymore.
I hadn't played a true JRPG in a while prior to playing Bravely Default. The game play, the mechanics, the music.....just everything rocked me. I put in 100 + hours into that game this past summer and loved every moment. This will be a day 1 purchase and play for me.
Fantastic. I'm always partial to special editions and art books and CD soundtracks.
@Kolzig If you don't mind importing:

You'd have to live with the giant ass USK logo, though.
2016 has an actual shot at bring the best year in 3DS history, which is awesome after a lackluster 2015.
Wow! Congrats, Europe! Hoping this comes my way to NA soon
I recently finally (yes I know) picked up Bravely Default and it is absolutely amazing. It's such a good RPG and exactly what I was looking and hoping for.
@Miles_Edgeworth
Oh, I've listened to the whole soundtrack and while I like some of the music, especially the battle themes (including specific bosses) just don't do it for me. They're still good, don't get me wrong, I don't particularly hate them or anything, and the melody in itself is not the problem - it's the choice of instruments. I love me some good e-guitars, but they're practically overbearing in this game. They drown out everything else (even after they were adjusted somewhat following the demo) and I find that downright horrible. Probably supposed to tie in with a darker setting/story whatever, but I don't care. It's grating on my ears and I'm not very fond of the choice they made here. Just my personal opinion, though. :/
Also doesn't mean I won't enjoy the game because I'm pretty sure that I will. (Some of the old soundtrack is there, too, so that helps.)
Even though Bravely Default was good, it had a terrible second half of repetitiveness and grinding. I'm going to wait and see what people think of the game once it's released in NA.
Uhm did they confirmed this for NA as well
Bravely Second releases on my Birthday? That's awesome to hear! I hope I'll be able to acquire the special edition, because I'm loving how it looks.
Will I have to order it online to get the collector's edition or does reckon any of the retail stores may have the collector's edition available?
Not as excited about this one, what with the weird censorship and change in composer. I'm sure I'll pick it up at some point, but I doubt it'll be a highlight of 2016 for me.
I missed Bravely Default first time around. Is it worth playing that first or am I okay to dive into this without prior knowledge?
Sweet. Though that figure should've been an amiibo, really.
I want that Agnes figure. But I somehow doubt that it will be available in the U.S..
@Churchy
Well, you can still play Bravely Default 1.
Without spoilers, Bravely Default is worth playing but it has its downsides (as everything does).
The 2 points that are Bravely Default's biggest negatives are...
The characters are often making unreasonably poor decisions. Like withholding vital information for no reason other than to advance the plot in a certain way.
The 2nd half of the game is pretty repetitive.
Any news for the West?
@manu0 The Xenoblade X artbook is okay, but a lot of the "art" in it is just screenshots from the game and the cover is paperback. It certainly is'nt worth the extra $30 alone and the other two items aren't good, so all in all I'm disappointed with the special edition. Seeing this fancy-shmancy special edition here makes me feel worse. I'll bet it costs about the same as the Xenoblade one, too.
That figurine looks a billion times better than the abomination that shipped with the original special edition. But then that looked good in the promo shots as well... :/
Ooooo, sexy. Not holding my breath the NA will get this but there's always hope.
@JubilifeRival Are you implying Europe isn't "the West"?
@Grumblevolcano Heh, this.
