The fact that the Japanese manual didn't fit the box after all this time did make me laugh quite loudly. This has to be one of my favourite stories from this year in terms of general buffonary. Although my heart goes out to the people who were given such a turd as a reward for pledging.
I think this is best suited to animation and a short series. I'm glad more companies are investing in shorter series for the sake of keeping a story as long or as short as it needs to be. I'm in!
To be honest I think they're both going for different things and each one has its own strengths. The fact that we have an industry where both can be released in the same week is truly remarkable. 2017 is an amazing year for games all round.
Whilst I think this is a good read on a magazine I didn't know about, I don't think it's necessary to compare them to the western magazines and call other mags crap in the process. It sounds like it was still a different type of audience.
@Angelic_Lapras_King @electrolite77 I'm with you both on N64 Magazine (which of course followed Super Play) and its follow-ons. They managed to strike a good balance between good journalism but also not taking it all too seriously. I loved the fact they had dedicated joke pages, and even joke competitions such of Lex Luthor's Solve My Maze.
I haven't tried this, but I do find comedy in seeing a wolf howl, immediately shooting it with an arrow, and then hearing the sound effect of it dying whilst meat suddenly.
I felt that if Mario Kart 8 had a decent battle mode it would perhaps be the best Mario Kart ever. This is looking pretty damn promising. If they ever added Block Fort from the N64 then I will fill many buckets with my tears of joy.
Would he be allowed the Easter Bunny wearing Mario's clothes? Or possibly he could dress Santa as the King of Hyrule, but that might be a bit too niche.
There are a couple like Super Mario Maker and Smash Bros. (the latter I'd like to see as an ongoing game where it just receives updates - lord knows Sakurai needs to take it easy!) but apart from that I'd rather they just focused on new things.
I honestly couldn't be happier about this. There was much profuse swearing and joy poured into my monitor when this was revealed. Factor 5 were a brilliant developer, even if not every game was amazing. Also, I'd trust Julian Eggebrecht's opinion on the hardware as they were very knowledgeable about the hardware side of things; they were also consulted on parts of the GameCube's hardware and made middleware tools for Nintendo as well.
Now, if only they could strike a deal with Disney, then that would be amazing.
@ThanosReXXX is absolutely spot on with the development roles. Factor 5 were the ones who made the Rogue Squadron games what they were. There were only a couple of Lucas Film people involved in the Rogue Squadron games and Factor 5 were left pretty much to their own devices. Lucas Film mainly provided the licence and material needed to make the game.
Wow, this is brilliant and a shining example of how you do a remaster for a game of this sort. And the password system is a stroke of genius. Bring it on!
Okay, so John Cena is promoting a Ninty product at a ranch in the middle of nowhere. And Bowser is making statements about it. What the hell's going on in this crazy world?!
Regardless of where people stand on the issue, they really should allow the option purchase each pack separately. That's pretty much standard and was something you could do in Mario Kart 8 as well. Or have they changed that aspect of it?

I'll not buy it at a high price.

Re: Thankfully, Europe Is Getting A More Handsome SNES Classic Mini
Nice.
Re: Nintendo Announces Super NES Classic Edition
Star Fox 2 makes this for me, assuming it's the full version we supposedly haven't seen.
Let's just hope they'll actually keep this product going longer than the Virtual Boy's lifespan this time!
Re: Feature: The (Sadly Fictional) Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo Switch Fighter Ballot - Results!
Really, Krystal. Who would've thunk it?!
I can certainly get behind Chandler Bing. It makes no less sense than the Wii Fit Trainer.
Re: Amazon Lists Pokémon Stars For Nintendo Switch
Nice to know they have the series of the future thoroughly planned out.
Re: Super Mario Odyssey Producer to Take Part in Reddit AMA
@Franklin Well, red isn't too far from pink.

Put quite simply, this is going to be incredible.

It's Shigsy tinkering around with a stealth release.
Re: Feature: Our Nintendo Hopes and Dreams for E3 2017
@Kanbei Great minds think alike.
Re: SNES Classic Edition Gets Name-Checked In Xbox E3 Survey
The conspiracy theorist in me would wonder if this is due to licensing on the Rare front. Not long left to go if this were announced at E3.
Re: Square Enix Silent On Switch Dragon Quest XI Due To "Adult Circumstances"

This is what Joseph Conrad really was talking about when he wrote Heart of Darkness.
Re: Poll: Who Would You Like To See In Super Smash Bros. For Nintendo Switch?
I had to go with Rawk Hawk from Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door. Other than that I'd go Issac from Golden Sun, or a CO from Advance Wars.
Re: Rumour: Nintendo Is Working On A Smartphone Legend Of Zelda Game
Is this what Aonuma meant by a new open-world Zelda?

Re: Exclusive: Game Boy Specialist Crawfish Interactive Is Back From The Dead, Kind Of
Ah good old Crawfish. I remember getting a VHS with GBX magazine that took a look inside their office. They seemed like cool guys to boot.
Re: Rumour: Super Mario/Rabbids Crossover Still in Works for Nintendo Switch
I really really hope this isn't real.
Re: Capcom Wants You To Know That It's Taking The Nintendo Switch Very Seriously
I know only five people bought the original but I'd love another Zack & Wiki game.
But a new IP would be cool to have from Capcom. But a safe bet is that it's probably Monster Hunter.

It's Bitmap Books. I'd be surprised if they didn't hit the target!
Re: Nintendo Direct Confirmed For 12th April - Focused on Splatoon 2, ARMS and More
I'm guessing this won't be too long, but giving some info on releases mainly. It also begs the question of what E3 will contain as well.
Re: Square Enix Veteran and Chrono Trigger Director Teases Nintendo Switch Project
Most intriguing my dear Watson...
I must admit, Ninty and Squeenix becoming more cosy with each other does make me wonder what is coming around the corner.

@PikachuForeva You'd be correct, the Hedgehog engine was first used for Sonic Unleashed.

Re: Virtual Console Will Not Be Ready For Nintendo Switch Launch
On a positive note, I still have the poster of the main image. Back when NGamer was still a thing!
Re: Eiji Aonuma Lists His Top Three Favorite Zelda Games
To be honest I dig that choice. It wouldn't be my number one but I had a blast with Phantom Hourglass.
My choices might be obvious but my top 3 would be:
1. Ocarina of Time
2. Wind Waker
3. Majora's Mask
