@Otoemetry make a game with a larger scope with more spectacular visuals for stronger platforms. Or make a lesser game to compensate for a switch launch.
The game could get a port down the road, but kind of a strange take. Developers can put games where they want them.
@WhiteTrashGuy I would highly recommend it. Between the awesome emulation capabilities and the ability to remote play/stream makes it a very premium device. My only complaints are that the sticks feel a bit cheap and the buttons are kind of stiff. Other than that it's a great device.
@WhiteTrashGuy I agree with the handheld aspect for sure, I ended up buying it on my PS5 but with my Ayn Odin and the PsPlay app I'm able to remote play the game on the Odin. Honestly, it remote plays 1080p 60fps so I was really pumped to play it portable without having to have the same sacrifices.
Hopefully we get more powerful handheld systems in the future so we don't have to remote play or play with graphical sacrifices.
@Baler quality isn't much better with the official joycons, between the terrible ergonomics, drift, and lack of dpad. I'll go with the split pad pro any day.
@BispoSnake Sakurai knows that when he says something people expect it to happen. Which is why he was always mindful of what he said during the development of smash ultimates dlc.
Honestly after revisiting the series I hope they make some massive improvements. While the game is very polished it's just a bit too easy. Mainly because the gameplay loop is focused around locking on and strafing to win. Aiming isn't required unless you play the trilogy on the wii.
Still an excellent game but idk if i have the same wonder for it as I did when I was a kid.
@KnightsTemplar I mean they're free cosmetics? So not sure why you'd feel anything but positive about them.
Also people aren't morons for buying cosmetics in a ftp game, if they like the game and that's the means to support the developers then more power to them.
@KindofaBigDeal Sonic adventure controls great especially sonic. I'd agree that the mech sections are annoying, but outside of those the treasure collecting and sonic/shadow sections are great.
I just played the adventure games just a week or two ago and was very impressed with how well it holds up. I feel like I have more precise movements with sonic in the adventure series than mario in 64 or sunshine. All of which I recently played through, forgot how janky sunshine was.
The criticism that the game takes control away from the player is valid. However, I think it's important if someone wants to make that criticism to also play spark the electric jester 2. Where in my opinion it gives wayyy to much control to the player, to the point that sometimes it's pretty difficult to maneuver.
It's an incredibly tough balancing act in these games.
@larryisaman I totally forgot that I never had the opportunity to play the gamecube paper mario as a kid. I'll need to crack open my steam deck or ayn odin and get on that once I complete the megaman zero series here soon.
@ZapNCrap the best way to describe neogeo pocket color games is charming. They have a very distinct almost upgraded GBC look. I really enjoyed playing sonic on the system and it looks perfect on a system like the trimui. My only concern is how it would look on the switch screen blown up.
@Jhena I think the first mana game was good fun for a gameboy game. I loathed secret of mana, I couldn't get over the waiting to attack gameplay, the janky 0-death bosses that spammed magic, which eventually the game became a who can spam magic first to win. Trials of mana was a really good time. I'll try legend of mana tho! I'll probably jump on that once I complete the trials of mana remake.
I feel the quality is more consistent across the soul blazer series than the mana series. But then again I still need to play legend so I'll make sure I play it and then re-evaluate my opinion on the mana series.
@Jhena Honestly, I will always stand by that Square should have remastered the soul blazer series over the mana series. The Mana series is just ridden with jank and the soul blazer series just seems to have been way ahead of their time.
@Sakisa Emulation is a pretty great thing, playing through it now myself. Would happily buy it for modern systems to support the franchise if they ever ported it or remastered it. Knowing Square though, they'll find a way to mess it up.
The visuals actually look kind of rough...for it being a switch exclusive I was expecting a bit more. Looks like the gameplay more than makes up for it tho.
@Wexter actually it does lol I can tell you don't actually have a steam deck. It plays GameCube games quite well out of the box too. Emudeck is amazing.
@fenlix I don't know about that, pocket dungeon is a puzzle game which spun off of a platformer. I'd be hard pressed to say that a puzzle game would amass the same attention as a shovel knight platformer since that's what originally made it a success anyway.
I love the snes styled shovel knight, I'm buying it for the art style alone. Also a more action oriented shovel knight? Sign me up! Been waiting a long time for this!

Re: Oni: Road To Be The Mightiest Oni Gets A Physical Release In April 2023
Seems like a genuinely interesting title. I think it might have been the only one to catch my eye in the indie direct.
Re: New Game From Breath Of The Wild Dev Looks Like A Stunning Mix Of Disney, Anime And Zelda
@EVIL-C you responded originally?
Re: New Game From Breath Of The Wild Dev Looks Like A Stunning Mix Of Disney, Anime And Zelda
@EVIL-C you're the one making a big deal about this. Touch grass.
Re: New Game From Breath Of The Wild Dev Looks Like A Stunning Mix Of Disney, Anime And Zelda
@EVIL-C modern smart phones are stronger than switch, they have been for a couple years now.
Kind of a strange take for you to act so offended over a video game.

I hate to get my hopes up, but I'm going to lol
Re: Pokémon Scarlet And Violet Removes All Cases Of Pokérus From The Game
@EaglyTheKawaiiShika Honestly though, after playing through games like you mentioned. It makes the pokemon brand feel half baked.

Re: Azure Striker Gunvolt 3 Gets A Fresh Update, Here Are The Patch Notes
@Kalvort I've really struggled to finish the boss rush in the first game, is it a skill issue? Or are there items like in mega man that I'm missing?
I've completed the zero series and megaman X 1-5 so I feel like I'm actually pretty good.
Re: Capcom Shares Updated Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak Roadmap For 2023
I'm honestly pretty disappointed that a timed exclusive switch monster hunter doesn't have any collabs with nintendo.
Re: Review: Neo Geo Pocket Color Selection Vol.2 - A Fair Retro Package With Some Intriguing Curios
@EarthboundBenjy the art style on that sonic game is very charming tbh
Re: Warp Drive Brings F-Zero-Style Racing With Cel Shaded Visuals To Switch Next Month
@Bunkerneath I agree, that other F-Zero-like Kickstarter (Aero GPX) from a week or two ago looked more like F-Zero.
Both look like interesting projects, I'll probably pick up both of them anyway.

@Mauzuri It makes you wonder if they would have opted to pass on the switch if the current gen versions would have been improved that much more.

Do what you want Nintendo, there is a ton of options to emulate games on the go at this point.

@Nintendo4Sonic alright, I respect your opinions but the music is not bad. That opinion is blatantly incorrect.
Re: Switch Online Now Has Over 36 Million Subs, Nintendo Says It Will Continue To Improve Expansion Pack Tier
@strollin_stu they add online to games like F-Zero and smash melee I'm sold. Otherwise, I'll either just play them on my gamecube or emulate them.

Re: Dev Of Incredible F-Zero-Inspired 'Aero GPX' Wants To Bring Racer To Switch
@cmdrmarc I'm not real sure why people think Nintendo can do anything about games inspired by their titles.
Nintendo isn't, can't, and won't do anything towards this dev.
Re: Random: Valve's Steam Deck Can Now Run Game Boy Advance Cartridges
@Old_Man_Nintendo lol yes cause Nintendo has def had great relationships with YouTubers 😂
Re: Random: Valve's Latest Steam Deck Trailer Briefly Shows A Switch Emulator
@Nikhogan you can dump your own games. Emulation doesn't mean you're automatically pirating games. Nintendo can't do anything about this.
Re: Random: Valve's Latest Steam Deck Trailer Briefly Shows A Switch Emulator
@Wexter okay I was gonna say I easily have 1000+ games in roms alone, and like 40 newer steam games
Re: Random: Valve's Latest Steam Deck Trailer Briefly Shows A Switch Emulator
Y'all simp wayyy to hard for a billion dollar company, emulation on the deck is amazing. Links awakening runs perfectly on the deck 😄

Re: Talking Point: It's About Time Castlevania: Symphony Of The Night Came To Switch

@Key19 Forget that, just give me shadow!
Re: Nintendo Download: 6th October (North America)
Def holding off this week, time is a more valuable currency than money when it comes to gaming for me.
Backlog is rich and bayo 3 is coming out in a couple weeks.

Re: Review: Tunic - Old-School Adventuring With Nods To Zelda, Unforgiving And Ingenious
@chipia the combat music was still very minimalistic, outside of maybe when you're fighting a guardian.

@chipia Did you play BOTW?

Re: NPD Results Show PlayStation 5 Outsold Switch In August (North America)
@Drac_Mazoku PS5 has infinitely more games than a series x and this is coming from someone that has all of the systems that you mentioned.
Re: Rumour: Sonic Frontiers Will Reportedly Target 30fps On Switch
@Primarina Objectively having more FPS is better, you can't argue that. Whether or not you or anyone else decides to ignore the difference.
Re: Rumour: Sonic Frontiers Will Reportedly Target 30fps On Switch
@Primarina Never said that, it's just a fact that 60fps is better than 30fps.
