I wonder if Square Enix rushes games out the door. Considering how high quality Nioh 2 and Wo long are I wonder if they rushed team ninja on getting strangers of paradise out.
@DTfeartheBEARD I feel that, now that I have two young kids it's hard for me to go to my basement and play my ps5 like I used to be able to. The switch is nice to have for the convenience, I bought neo twewy twice for that reason.
I could have sworn that the ps5 had gyro controls on most of the games but I'll be honest I never turn them on anyway. So I could just be flat out wrong there lol I think having both a ps5 and switch is a good combo because most of those local multiplayer indies I'll buy on my switch while the big titles I'll pick up for my playstation.
@BANJO Don't forget that most of us "kids" were beating some pretty difficult video games when we were young. Donkey Kong Country, Mario Sunshine (was brutal in parts), and even the original super mario bros wasn't easy.
Being difficult doesn't mean the game doesn't have other things to offer to beginner players. I mean the fortnite generation is incredible at video games.
@Ventilator I have a steam deck and hopefully they improved the docking capabilities for the system (as I haven't played it since the beginning of this year). Don't count on it being a great docked solution, the menu is all over the place and performance on gamecube games tanked for me. It's a far superior product than a switch in handheld but the switch is a better docked system.
But like I said, that could have changed since 6-7 months ago because it had maybe 8 updates within the month I was on it.
@Ventilator I'll be honest it's pretty bad, and honestly sure everyone talks how the switch is such an amazing jrpg machine (cause it is). But that's because most the time they can't even run a decent action game.
Honestly if it wasn't for platinum there would be next to no action games on the platform that aren't either indie titles or ps2 Devil May Cry games. It's kind of staggering to think that for more mature gamers there's not a whole lot of mature level games.
And before anyone says, "oh blood and guts don't make a good game." When I say mature I mean a game with challenging/tense moment to moment gameplay, deep gameplay mechanics, and heavier themes. While I know there's titles like NMH3 or Astral Chain, they're so few in comparison to some generic jrpg.
@SteamEngenius tbh you don't get the feedback of the buttons and if you're going to carry around a snap on controller this doesn't offer much of a difference in regards to size.
The trimui is small enough that it kind of disappears in your pocket.
@Pete41608 It's not illegal for me to dump my game onto my steam deck. Being a successful billion dollar company doesn't entitle them to police what I do with my games.
@Pete41608 playing games on the steam deck doesn't mean that you didn't already buy them on the switch. Currently playing through Link's Awakening again on the steam deck but I have it on the switch.
If nintendo wants to remove the incentive to pirate their games, it might be worth looking into stronger hardware. Currently the best place to play switch games is on PC
@Axelay71 yeah it's really up to preference. I'd rather have a steam deck for my third party games and all the GameCube games that Nintendo likes to ignore.
Nintendo hasn't put out a large scale game in a very long time. Nintendo is more of a smash and local multiplayer system for me than anything else.
I'm really excited for this considering my ayn odin can't invert aim settings this will be great to have portably. It's a gacha game, and sure it's kind of frustrating if you can't get a character that you want. However, the core gameplay is great and the team customization is wonderful. Looking forward to having a dedicated switch version here soon.
@johnvboy I don't need to carry two consoles if the steam deck runs both steam os and switch do I?
Also it's not a justification. I'm just telling you what I'm going to do if Nintendo wants to give me underpowered systems. And you can just kind of deal with it 😉
Nintendo fans always told me if I wanted better graphics buy a PC. Hence I did so I don't see the problem doing what I want with my PC and my switch games lol

Re: Rumour: Sonic Frontiers Will Reportedly Target 30fps On Switch
@thaimbomb Nintendo apologists will play nintendo games at 10fps and still call it silky smooth lol
Re: Rumour: Sonic Frontiers Will Reportedly Target 30fps On Switch
@Bunkerneath That's what people say when they've never experienced 60fps on other systems.

@chreddy Yeah, how dare anybody else take an existing formula and implement their own spin on it.
Self gatekeeping when it comes to gaming must be pretty boring.
Re: Random: Reddit User Creates The Ultimate 3DS Emulator With A Steam Deck
@Arawn93 So showing off emulation of a game means someone pirated it? Huh, news to me.

@glaemay You can with the touch pad on the deck, works pretty well actually.
Re: Random: Reddit User Creates The Ultimate 3DS Emulator With A Steam Deck
@nin10doom Who's to say that people who emulate the games didn't already purchase them?

@sirmrguitardude and I'm sick of my Switch games coming with graphical and performance level compromises

Cute little device for sure. It's been a great year for retro gamers. Might just have to add it to the collection

I can't wait to get this game and change that default costume, looks like she came out of alt candy land
Re: Random: The Powkiddy X51 Emulation Console Tries To Rope In Switch Fans
Powkiddy generally produces lower quality emulation devices anyway. Right now you're better off buying a miyoo mini for that price.
Re: Legend Of Zelda Fans Accuse Indie Game Of "Ripping-Off" Link's Awakening
@moodycat Shoot I'm not complaining I'd never find out about genshin impact if Nintendo fans weren't smashing their ps4s.

What games has he worked on lately that actually turned out well? Sounds like moving into a new venture like movies was a good call for him.
Re: Neon Action Shooter 'Furi' Gets New DLC And A Free Update Later This Month

That wave shot will be busted against the second boss lol
Re: Nintendo Launches 'Indie Gems Sale', Up To 70% Off Top Titles (Europe)
Great line up of indie games, might pick up loop hero
Re: Hands On: Turn Your Nintendo Switch Into A Gundam With This Case
I love the product but for what it offers (at the price) compared to the alternatives. I really don't see a market for this.
Re: Steam Deck Nintendo Emulation Videos Are Being Pulled From YouTube
@johnvboy I don't have any moral obligation to multi-billion dollar company
Re: Crazy Castlevania-Style Action Platformer 'Super Zangyura' Gets Surprise Western Release
@CharlieGirl I feel that. So many 2D indie games that it's hard for me to justify buying more.
Re: Steam Deck Nintendo Emulation Videos Are Being Pulled From YouTube
@MagnesG Day one. I actually took the day off of work to play BOTW, but unfortunately had a proctored exam that same day lol
I remember the launch games and picked up Shovel knight and fast RMX as well, since fast racing neo was a great wii u game.
