@sketchturner The game has it's issues performance wise which is a major gripe for many. However, I've noticed these issues when it focuses on the combat which most of the time it doesn't focus on that at all.

It's incredibly difficult for the first 2 hours then it tones it down when you get upgrades and familiarize yourself with the areas. It feels like a platforming dark souls in that sense. Incredibly rewarding and fun to play but it has it's bugs for sure. In my book it's def a 7. If the game was fully patched and they fixed the bugs it would be an easy 8.5-9

@Medic_Alert I had an issue with certain weapons. I would try the bow or dual blades if you're trying to ease into it.

I started with the bow and went to the insect glaive because it changes the whole game being able to pole vault everywhere. It's like a flying simulator lol

Also I didn't ignore the problems. I'm saying that they corrected the issue on the crossplay and they increased the value of their subscription service.

@michellelynn0976 I read the article, this is all pretty old news. I reguarly play crossplatform with Rocket league, dauntless, and no mans sky. For the $60 playstation plus on the ps5 we most of the major big name games of the ps4 with the PS+ collection with three new games a month.

@michellelynn0976 wtf are you even going on about. Last year we got ghost of tsushima, spiderman, last of us 2, and sackboy? the first two years of ps4 we got killzone, shadow of mordor, infamous second son, and destiny.

Nintendo charges full price for 10 year old ports and artificially inflates their prices. Same song and dance.

You act like Nintendo doesn't have enough money to lose 250 million a year and still survive until 2052. You call me a pony but all you're doing to enabling poor consumer practices from Nintendo while making false claims that the PS5 has nothing to play on it. When in reality it has a massive selection from the ps4 library and the few games it launched with.

@michellelynn0976 when was last time Sony charged full price for a port? Secondly when was the last time they remained at 60 dollars for years on end? Shoot I got the Nathan drake collection for 7 bucks on the playstation store. When was the last time you bought 3 nintendo games for 7 bucks?

Saying that Sony has the whole backlog of ps4 games is hardly an excuse. Considering I easily have 300 games in which I bet I haven't touched 200 of them from playstation plus and sales alike. Especially since Sony launched the ps5 with a handful of games. Like spiderman, little big planet, dark souls, assassins creed vahalla, COD, and Astros play room.

@michellelynn0976 idk what fc is. However, since we are comparing Nintendo's outings to games on the ps4 we got doom eternal early last year, ff7 remake, ghost of tsushima, last of us part two, and genshin impact which can all be played on the ps5.

Guess nintendo fans aren't used to games that are backwards compatible tho. So it makes sense that you think there's nothing on there.

@michellelynn0976 xenoblade is a remake, animal crossing was for casuals, and muso games are massively uninspiring. Ring fit adventure came out in 2019

@LUIGITORNADO Honestly, not a bad score for what it is. I find it more believable to be a 7 than a ten.

@michellelynn0976 Um most people? Nintendo has pumped out almost nothing in 2020 outside of Wii U ports and a few very casual experiences.

I guess on the playstation side they don't have to pump out so many games because third parties usually put their major outings on their systems. Nintendo pigeon holes themselves into having to make multiple first party titles due to the differences in hardware.

@michellelynn0976 While most next gen games are coming to PS4 (with a free upgrade unlike the Wii U to Switch), are we really going to sit here and act like Nintendo didn't have a shortage of systems all last year?

@michellelynn0976 Nintendo launched with only one game and a few third parties. Joycons are drifting, and nintendo wants me to pay $60 for wii u ports.

@michellelynn0976 I mean it has backwards compatibility and upscales resolution and many of the large scale games get a boost in fps. Many from 30fps to 60fps. I for one have a ton of games on my Ps4 to complete. I'd kill for a PS5 rn, especially with how good Ghost of Tsushima looked on the ps4

@westman98 I think for most of that we know this, but 10/10 games in my opinion (and maybe others) are innovative and extremely polished games which experiences are unmatched for it's time.

I can't say that this game was that for me. Even when it came out for the Wii U it was a very safe for the most part conservative Mario game building off the structure of 3d Land on the 3DS. Nothing about it stuck out as a 10/10 game. That being said it is a great game, just not a 10/10 imo.

@MS7000 I agree, for some odd reason this game just didn't click with me. It's like pizza, where even bad pizza is still good. I just feel that it meshes the two styles of Mario well enough, but there's just something about it that didn't stick for me.

But idk the 10/10 feels very inflated when we compare this to the perfection that was odyssey.

Gotta say the movie had a ton of charm, surprised considering how tone deaf they were with the initial design.

I always thought something just looked off about FE on the switch. This is an improvement

@Tempestryke I'd give it a try, it's a pretty cheap game for the most part. I'm not much for boss rushes but I see you have some megaman stuff on your page. It might be right up your alley if you're used to that level of difficulty.

@Tempestryke Furi was their last game, it's a blood pumping boss rush type of game. It's incredible if you're into hardcore experiences.

@Tempestryke Honestly I'm interested solely because these guys made Furi. I probably wouldn't have looked at this game if it wasn't for that.

@Zach777 tbh Nintendo really hasn't thrown out any bangers since animal crossing which still felt half baked in my opinion. The lack of quality of life for me threw me off

@brandonbwii Initial reviews are giving it usually around an 8/10 so I think we're sitting pretty for now.

I will gladly spend my money on the concept alone.

I'll be honest, I go lost almost right away and don't know what to do. I think I'm supposed to gather supplies or something. I'll google it and try to get back into it after I finish the first darksiders.

I think the biggest issue with the game is the speed of the character. It honestly reminds me of kingdom hearts 1's movement.

The character themselves look like they are running faster than what they are (which is slow). Then somehow jumping limits all sense of momentum. I couldn't stand Lucky's Tale because of the lack of speed, I'm not making that mistake again.

Not a huge fan of the clashing of 2d characters and 3d everything else. However, outside of that it looks like a really fun game.

@the_beaver I actually had the series as a kid and never beat it. I bought all of the originals for the ps3 now I'm holding out since Ninja Gaiden is all over the place. I could see a surprise shadow drop for it in the future.

@TheLightSpirit It's a fun time overall, but I'm not a big fan of the clutzy feeling of the characters. I get that's the charm of being big clumsy jelly beans but I like to feel in control of my video game characters.

@QueenKittenWrite The game isn't bad just repetitive. This is speaking from my previous experience with Hyrule Warriors and FE Warriors. I skipped out here because I'm burnt out of muso games.

@lacaras4 Hyrule Warriors Definitive Edition imo is worth the price point. I bought it for $30 on ebay and don't regret it. It's a great muso game and I feel like theres more characters that I like in that one.

I'll be honest, I never understood this game. I got it on PS+ and just got bored.
