I lost interest in this quick. Just the pacing of the battles was too slow for me. For the punches to be as long as they are I just didn't enjoy punching and waiting a few seconds for my fists to return.
Dang did nintendo lose all of their steam? We have gotten almost no games for the switch this year outside of two rereleases and animal crossing. I just find it odd that we all expected an early year direct for plans for this year and we still dont have a good idea.
@Bon_Kurei You are in the minority, as am I. However, pokemon will continue to produce mediocre games and all we can hope for is that eventually people will get tired of the dated formula. Generally games will head towards obscurity if the formula doesn't change.
However, it is pokemon. People would buy rocks branded by Gamefreak so we'll see.
@tourjeff Man wave race, that brings back memories. The best we have right now is riptide renegade. Unless I missed a better wave race type game along the lines.
@Kalmaro Yeah don't get me wrong, I liked gunvolt but got stuck during the boss rush in the first game and put it down. I swear that part is harder than any of the megaman zero situations i've faced.
@Kalmaro I always thought it was strange that a megaman zero type game was grindy. I've noticed that with gunvolt, not sure what inti creates has with forcing rpg elements into short mega man style games.
@fafonio Well Nintendo would probably have the N64 controller release alongside the online. However, I would prefer to have them online from a portable perspective but there's merits to a dedicated mini system.
It seems like Nintendo is just sitting on a gold mine of historical games that people just want to see remastered for the switch. I would easily buy all of the zeldas again for the switch.
@Whitestrider I respect your opinion, imo I feel like a lot of the dialog really built up some strong characters like the two summoners and Carmilla. Also I felt like the watching the increasing descent into madness for dracula made the ending of the season absurdly satisfying. We can agree to disagree but season two was for the most part well received.
@Tharsman if you haven't try the demo. I tried it out and was bored. The combat was pretty shallow and the auto mode basically plays the game for you. We'll see if you are able to beat the whole game in auto mode tho.
@BarefootBowser Yes personal preference does play a massive role in the consumer. I'm speaking more functionally and spec wise in regards to it's value, you seem to be speaking more biased in regards to the lite's functionality. However, I hope you have a good day as well!
@BarefootBowser You mentioned you don't know the reason people don't like the dpad and I referred a video. You don't have to watch it. However, I don't find the lite superior in any aspect. I've had probably a good 3 hours on my sisters when she was living with me and I wasn't a fan. The form factor is cool but the utility isnt there. I also like having my friends over to play either smash or mario kart, which the switch lite lacks.
Nintendo's first party games look much better docked anyway. BOTW and Xenoblade 2 are miles better docked, so it's not just third parties that suffer from not being docked.
@BarefootBowser So in order to combat a system that has limits to trying to be both a handheld and a full game console, you limit yourself further for the sake of it being a handheld? I don't understand that but you're right in regards to options.
If you want information on the Dpad check out spawnwaves videos in regards to it. It effected me the most when playing dragon quest builders 2
@BarefootBowser The Dpad itself is already a no deal for me, if it performs anything like the pro-controller. In addition, the dpad is too far under my thumb for me to consider using it comfortably.
For me the switch lite just doesn't seem like a "value" buy. It makes sense just to save up an extra hundred dollars for the base switch. For someone to save $100 to sacrifice the ability to play on a big tv you also sacrifice the ability to play local multiplayer comfortably which is a big pull for the switch. Then you sacrifice the ability to swap out joycons, which I religiously use the daemon ex machina joycons due to the semi decent dpad and larger size.
@UmbreonsPapa The reason birds of prey fans care is because they're mad salty that their movie isn't doing well. Knowing a big movie like sonic is coming out is only going to add competition so they are trying to deflate the competition in return hoping to help Birds of Prey.
@MegaVel91 It's actually got a 69% on rotten tomatoes so over half of the critics liked it. I think Nintendolife is just jumping the gun at the moment. 38 Fresh reviews, 17 Rotten doesn't make for a terrible movie, a flawed one but a good one.
@Aaron09 Personally, I liked shovel knight the best. I believe they upped the price for people that didn't buy it when the switch released. Looking at deku deals it's on sale for $25 which it is usually $40 now. I would recommend Shovel knight as you get five different games in one package.
Dead Cells is a rougelite game that plays like an og castlevania. Hollow Knight is a metroidvainia through and through. I personally think that all of them are worth a pick up but I stopped around 50 hours through hollow knight cause I was tired of getting lost. However, Hollow knight has the best aesthetics out of all of them hands down. Shovel Knight is the best bang for your buck right now tho.
@Smashfan502 I'm actually more upset that there aren't more broken pokemon. I haven't played with items all that much since melee and brawl which I remember seeing scizzor and others that used to destroy others lol. Now a days the pokemon are more of a nuisance than an actual threat.
@Smashfan502 I play competitively, not as K Rool of course. However, items add an element of randomness to the game and can really assist people against more skilled players like myself. If there is a broken pokemon that takes a stock off of me when my friends and I are playing. That's okay. When I play for fun with my friends I tend to put my competitive mindset in the back of my head. Because If I beat them all of the time they wont want to play anymore
@TechaNinja I don't remember word for word but it was something along the lines of, "sexually explicit material is available for free online, why are nerds getting excited over video game women."
@Smashfan502 When I play competitive I obviously don't like items. My wife being a casual fan hates them too. However, there's a ton of work and fun in the items part of the game that I generally will play with them on when my friends come over.
I really can't wait for shovel knight dig either. I dig the original 8-bit look of shovel knight but I love the way that the more detailed sprites look on the character.
@BenAV If you're ever looking for a decent cardio workout ring fit will be great for you. I've only ever lifted as I played american football, but this gives me some great variety in my workouts.

I plan on only buying one figure from F4F and that will be when I graduate with my MBA as that will probably one of my largest life accomplishments.

Re: 2020 BAFTA Games Awards Nominations Revealed, Luigi's Mansion 3 Shines For Nintendo
Luigi's mansion 3 was charming and fun. However, I felt like it overstayed it's welcome. It has the depth of a puddle and it's pretty repetitive.
It's not a bad game, honestly if I had kids this would be a great game to play with them. However, it's not for me.
