@mikegamer Agreed, but I can't blame them if they only have a switch. As a kid I only had a gamecube, if they would have had a unorthodox method to play kingdom hearts back in the day I'd probably buy it.

So we're totally getting f-zero, pikmin 4, a new 3d donkey kong game, a new smash fighters pass, n64 games, and Astral Chain 2.

@Friendly tbh they did need it just because they said that they've wanted to finish the fighters pass by the end of 2021. I mean they could have delayed it but sakurai is a workhorse.

@dequesi I don't know if Nintendo trends keep going the way they are, they'll probably release the Switch U and add blutooth and call it a day. I'm going to buy nintendo stocks whenever they fail another console launch.

That's surprising as the Switch still seems to be selling quite well. However, there's no denying that there's not really any "big sellers" on the horizon. I know we have metroid dread but tbh, that's not going to hit the highs of the other big switch games.

Looks great, this is one of those games I'll need to pick up on my playstation. I like these kinds of games looking as crispy as possible with those vast environments.

Somehow the art style comes off like a flash game and high effort at the same time. I'm quite conflicted.

@HamatoYoshi While I think Nintendo has a great first party line up with the switch. Let's be honest a big portion of them of them are Wii U ports. I've been pretty bored with my switch since astral chain came out.

I can't wait to play it, I think that I am stuck on if I want to buy the game for playstation or switch tho. I think I'm just going to buy both due to my indecisiveness. Also I want this game to do well so a bit more love from me won't hurt nobody.

@Dpishere Nintendo has a level of polish that in many aspects they are at the top of their game with. Considering the switch only really gets huge titles from nintendo themselves. Mature doesn't always mean blood, gore, and profanity. Sometimes it just comes with a more complex gameplay style, more mature themes, deeper stories.

I mean we have a ton of family friendly games but I want more Astral Chain, F-Zero, and Metroid

@Dpishere Well I think Metroid appeals to a much more mature audience and I think that's exactly what nintendo needs.

Guess this will be a playstation buy for me. Not surprised, I think the switch is harder to port to than most realize.

I also guess I was only planning on playing this docked anyway. Idk handheld might be a bit much to follow on a small screen.

@inenai Agreed, Nintendo gets a free pass on everything solely because people are so okay with nintendo abusing their consumers. It's stunning to me personally.

I hope they improve sea travel in the next game, I'd like to see a sheika boat along with the master cycle. Preferably before I complete EVERYTHING lol.

@moodycat Yeah but for Sonic's speed and overall great movement not having an open world is really nutty. Imagine crossing massive plains with sonic's speed and agility. I mean you can still have zones but imagine the discovery and possibilities in an open world plain

@Snatcher I tend to play okami for a stint of time then put it down for way to long. I think the game is great, nothing compels me to finish it tho.

@BulbasaurusRex tbh the first few levels are brutal. Once you are able to get through those you should have a much better time. Super glad that the NES version on the switch has save states and rewinds.

@Diogmites It's def worth another look. I love playing this and just free skating with my bros. It can be equally a chill and knuckle grinding experience.

Looks nice, I'll probably just watch the cutscenes on youtube though.

This is a super chill and atmospheric game def worth picking up.

@BenAV I agree with you wholeheartedly there. I think the only reason I was able to get back into MHW when Iceborne came out because they basically made a brand new game. The social aspect of monster hunter also pulls me in most of the time.

@BenAV I have no doubt that they'll continuously add more and more monsters we'll probably see some collaboration events with Nintendo. However, yeah I think we may blast through this quicker than previous entries.

I'm surprised that the lighter story is a negative. They just used narrative in the previous games to move you along to the next big bad.

@Kalmaro The multiplayer was nutty and the weapons were surreal. I mean I could launch a planet with one of the clubs across half of the world. The multiplayer was insane!

It's hilarious that people think that putting a game in higher resolution makes it look worse. This is miles better than the blurry mess botw is on the switch in several areas.

@MS7000 Well to be honest, I wouldn't say that the PS5 needs a new identity to sell (as it's flying off the shelves now). While we all know that the PS5 will get new games down the road, you're right there are a lack of ps5 exclusives. However, I think we all know that the reason for that is because scalpers don't play video games.

Demon Souls is selling at an abysmal pace right now because of it. I'm okay with paying for a PS5 for a few reasons. My PS4 is 7 years old now, who knows how much longer it will last. My wife could play online multiplayer games now, and the upgraded 60fps, 4k, and ray tracing support is worth it for the games that support it.

@MS7000 You mentioned Sony isn't much better, when they've been pretty consumer friendly all things considering.

@MS7000 How? At least 95% of the ps4 games are able to be played (and in some instances upscaled) at no extra cost.

@RR529 just buy the knock offs on Ebay they're decent enough quality to warrant buying them for $35-$40 each.

I wish that Nintendo got into more low budget spin off games. I mean contract out some more indie studios. Fund teams like Robie studios and have them make a new IP. Get into a variety of genres. I know Nintendo can continue to be family friendly and add some teeth to their gameplay.

I said that it would be cool to use sonic in an open world setting being able to traverse vast lands with his speeds would be euphoric, then having mission stages (like regular on rails stages) in the world.

I also said that it would be nice to have a perfect blend of speed and tight platforming like in adventure 2. Sonic has been always about speed but the platforming needs to be tight as well.

Well a remaster of Sonic Adventure 1+2 has been something we've been asking for a long time. You gonna listen now Sega?
