A short explanation here: In Germany (and probably EU), everything you order online (or by other means over a distance) can be cancelled within 14 days without giving any reasons. Now for digital things like games, there exist exceptions because you may want to play the game immediately and not wait 14 days after purchasing. However, in the case of preordering a game, the exception does not apply because you are not able to use the game immediately. This is what the court explained to Nintendo and they agreed.
@CharlieGirl The problem does not only lie in the inflated prices. Here, we have a direct conflict of interests: the grade of a game has a direct influence on the price and he can grade his games as he want (more or less).
@NEStalgia Thanks. Very well written comment. You hit the nail right on the head with this: We are talking about video games with sale numbers around 40 000 000. There is no real scarcity that can push prices to such numbers. For comparison, just check the price for Michael Jackson's Thriller with the same condition.
@Haruki_NLI What is this grading for a sealed copy anyway? Does someone know that the correct game is inside? I also remember that all my SNES and GameBoy games were never sealed. The cardboard package was the whole package. Nothing more.
I played SS in 2011 and 2012. To be honest, I enjoyed it as a relaxing game with some interesting fights. The whole time, I was standing and wanted to be really immersed into fighting with sword and shield. I think that this worked really well and the very last fight was just so awesome.
However, no way I am touching that game again. I enjoyed it but there is no replay value in it for me. The handholding would drive me crazy and the game forced you already to redo a lot of things and areas.
@Joriss The problem I have with the game is that it really thinks the player is stupid. I started a new game yesterday. One of the first dialog is about Z-Targeting. Fair enough, you think. But then you should rescue the cat. So first a lot of explanations, and then they show you where the cat is. You get the camera moving to the cat and afterwards the camera shows you exactly which route you need to take. You feel just empty when you "solve" such a puzzle in the end.
I don't care that they most of storage for the game is in the hint videos because they are totally optional. I detest the forced repeating hints every time I get a new item...
@xmkbest I have read that the game has Pro Controller support. Nevertheless, don't play this game with the Pro Controller if you have working JoyCons. This whole game is designed around your sword movements. Controlling a sword with a control stick cannot map this very well. By the way, I am still wondering how to do stabs and skyward beams then??
@Zuljaras LABO was playing it safe as it only could be. There is not much development time needed for cardboard...
Is it too much to ask for another Nintendo game that is not just the same again again? I cannot stand playing my Wii and WiiU library again and again. For crying out loud, I enjoyed Pikmin 3 in 2013 (!). And even then, I thought that this is such an extension of the feeling I had in the year 2002..
@Zuljaras We are not talking about your neighbor who is developing a indie title together with her friends in the garage. We are talking about Nintendo, one of the largest gaming forge in the world with a lot of money in the vault.
Breath of the Wild was the last time where Nintendo really got out with a bold new idea/direction. Seeing that it started under Iwata's hand, I would say that we'll never see such a thing again in the near future.
@Lord BotW is a WiiU game (as much as Pikmin 3, Mario Kart 8, Tropical Freeze, ...). It was developed as one for many years and the Switch version was only developed in parallel at the end. Also the removal of all GamePad elements was a pure marketing driven one at the end of development. By the way the WiiU sales of BotW were not bad at all: 1.6 millions (Better than Twilight Princess's GameCube version.)
@RobotReptile Glad, someone felt the same way. I am fine listening to the music of the game today but I don't want to click trough all these textboxes again.
I played SS in 2011 and 2012. To be honest, I enjoyed it as a relaxing game with some interesting fights. @Nico07 The WiiU played Smash Bros. fine with 1080p/60fps.
However, now I get your point, regarding first presentation of games and you might be right that, especially in live streams, the compression on YouTube might not good enough for such details.
Still, Skyward Sword seems odd. The resolution is higher but the textures still look blurry or strange in some way.
@Lukandon How do you know what teams are working on which games and how they work? That is complete speculation.
Regarding Skyward Sword, a good improvement would be to have less: Removing a lot of handholding textboxes would make the game much faster and better.
@Lukandon WW and TP got released on WiiU. There, Nintendo had to put effort and improvements into the games to sell them. Now, people will just buy everything, see 3D Allstars, no matter how few improvements old games get.
I fear that SS does not get anything changed at all...
@Sahnec It is nice to have an additional control scheme for handheld mode. However, SS is designed around motion control. A lot of things only make sense when you are fighting with real motions. Otherwise, a lot of thing might be very bland.
@Xenobound94 Announcements I didn't expect. Seeing some screenshots of BotW2 or MP4 was the bare minimum they should have done. Not even some content of the Expansion Pack for Age Calamity was shown.
@Pod @BigDebbie Thanks for your explanations. Now, I get your point and see it as an actual valid complaint.
Of course, I still don't agree because playing 3DS games (in original resolution) on a big screen has been a common thing for years now and such a mod makes this experience much nicer.
However, I might be biased because I don't like the original 3DS art style and think that it is not fitting at all for Ocarina of Time.
@BigDebbie @Pod I don't understand your comments. This is 100% the art style of the official 3D remake. Of course, I agree that this art style is way inferior than the one of the original. However, it is still official, approved by the highest people at Nintendo and shipped as a system seller.
With this in mind, nothing bad can be said about the mod above. It looks in every regard better than the 3D-original when you play it on a larger screen but does not change anything of the overall concept.
@Manah I am happy to ignore all the weird German translations back in the day (by Claude Moyse). In Link's Awakening, I was told to always use a condom. In Secret of Mana, I had to slay "Pogopuschels". In Terranigma, I had to meet "Bayern Munich"-soccer fans...
I still don't own a Switch because I am still working on my WiiU backlog. However, the "new" Switch might be a good choice then. Will it be at the same price and do I have to look close at the package when buying it?
@Jin15 Replacing the graphite part with copper would result in ugly sounds while using the stick and, of course, also the metal would wear down. Moving metal on metal is never a good idea.
Graphite is the only correct technical solution for such a construction that we can see in the video, and it still is not clear what exactly the problem for the drift is.

@Williamfuchs420 Not correct. The license has no lifespan. However, the download window after purchase has one.

@Subtle24 Normal closure procedure. Each traffic on a server costs energy/money.
