Day one purchase, if true. Mass Effect's world and lore is even better than most sci-fi TV shows. I hope they keep the character import between the games.
I've played Doom Eternal and I can't complain at the music. It's crazy to hear about all the hate that the sound guy "Chad" received, just for working hard on it. Some people in the gaming community are just embarrassing and take things too far.
FIFA is a cash cow for EA with their FUT microtransactions and lazy Switch "legacy" port, but it's the ultimate couch versus game to play with friends. Many hours of fun. Then again, I don't think playing the newest iteration is even necessary. FIFA 18 is fine with me - at least it still has Juventus instead of "Piemonte Calcio".
Never mind just Switch fans.. EA and Stadia are two brands that most gamers have a negative opinion of. Switch, Xbox Series X, PS5 and Steam all have so many great games coming soon to even bother about EA and Stadia!
I put down Animal Crossing once I was asked by the seagull to find communicator parts again after 2 days. I never did time travel, and this made me think how grindy and repetitive it must be.
I've shunned my powerful PC gaming rig since getting a Switch. Like I'm going to care about raytracing, 4k, 60+fps, etc.. We start to lose sight of what makes games actually fun. Nintendo are masters of doing more with less.
Playing Captain Toad or Luigi's Mansion with friends, locally, is more fun than turning on raytracing.. Playing the Witcher 3 or Skyrim (with lower settings) in bed, on the sofa or on a flight is a better experience than fawning over terraflops. Nintendo gets it...

Of course, some of the overzealous Nintendo fanboys will defend this. Besides, we have recently had a shift away from predatory mobile games with Apple Arcade. That service is great for mobile gaming, is well worth the money and disproves your creative freedom theory. Google Play also has it's own version but only available in the US so far.

The Pro Controller is less than ideal for Steam gaming because of the lack of analog triggers. The Xbox One Controller is the best. A good PC and Nintendo Switch is the absolute perfect gaming combination though.

The only features being developed that we have heard announced are the extra 3 NES games a month. Not a selling point if you're not interested in NES games.
@SladeStrife Well yes. I don't like to pay money for a mediocre, useless service. I want something good that is value for money or I don't want anything at all. Don't you understand how making an informed purchase works? I wouldn't buy a pair of shoes that I only half-liked. It's all or nothing.

I would pay $100 for a decent service with dedicated servers, a Nintendo backlog of games from all eras, a decent mobile app and adding voice chat and the ability to message friends. Instead we need to pay $20 for absolutely nothing other than some useless "bonuses".

Besides, we have recently had a shift away from predatory mobile games with Apple Arcade. That service is great for mobile gaming, is well worth the money and disproves your creative freedom theory. Google Play also has it's own version but only available in the US so far.
