@Anti-Matter I definitely prefer physical over GKC, especially due to the fact that I can immediately play the game after purchase without having to wait for the download. However the fact that GKC games will be unplayable in the future isn’t correct. As long as the game has been downloaded once, it can be redownloaded in the future even after the eshop closes in the next few decades (this is the case with wii, 3ds and wii u downloads). So if you feel that you aren’t playing the game anymore and need space, just delete it and redownload it when you want to play (besides pokopia only takes up around 6gb compared to the switch 2’s 256gb storage)

So honestly if you think that you’ll enjoy pokopia, just get it. There isn’t any point to stop yourself from having fun (since you rated it 8/10 without even playing it). I really don’t like the fact that it’s GKC, but I have no choice since there is no proper physical, so I’m definitely getting it after a few months once the price goes down abit.

@darkfenrir At least physical US copies don't have a giant classification rating ruining the box art. I'm still upset about getting the Australian copy of Botw 😭

I'm torn between a 8-9/10. I very much enjoyed the direct but the only new 'gimmicks' it showcased were the camera, mic and mouse controls. Would have loved to have seen the OS and eshop features, and also some new 1st party titles like a 3D Mario. Also not happy with the game pricing at all.

Well people did buy 1-2 Switch at launch, so it's not surprising that this is paid, but naming it 'welcome tour' AND making it paid is kinda weird

It's crazy how long the switch has been with me. I still remember watching videos from the January 2017 direct about the switch's hardware and os design, being in primary school.
Now, I'll be sitting for my final exams in November and by this time next year I'll be in uni. 🥲

Woah! Mario made it to the list! Though I voted for totk as it's the only nominee I've played this year. Hope it wins, it's got tough competition this year!

Used to play this a lot as a kid. It's actually my first mario sports game (if we're not counting the mario & sonic games). This game's ost is also seriously underrated.

90% of my switch games are physical so I'm really hoping that there's backwards compatibility for the next-gen Switch. NSO being carried over would be great too.

Been taking a break from gaming for awhile now due to life events + studies. But boy am I excited for TTDY, and definitely Funky Kong in Mario Kart (Sorry shy guy, it’s been a good 6 years but I’m certainly switching over now haha). My family and I have enjoyed the Spy x Family anime and manga series, so I might pick up the game during a sale maybe.

This is probably the best looking Mario game to me! Can't wait!

In all honesty, I really did enjoy the new open world formula in Pokemon with S/V. I just wish they would put in more effort in their games. Was really disappointed about the fact that you couldn’t enter buildings in the game.

Sucks that TPC is only really interested in cash and nothing else, they know their games will sell regardless.

I’ll still tune in, but I won’t be holding my hopes high for this one again (especially after the last poké presents lol). Didn’t get SwSh’s DLC so I definitely won’t be getting this one either.

What game I think it will launch with? Most likely another party game showcasing the “new switch’s” gimmick.

What game I would actually want? Definitely a new 3D Mario!

Just finished the main story today!!
Went into the final fight with 15 hearts and 2 1/5 stamina wheels.
Boy, that ending was magnificent.

@JohnnyMind Nendoroids are crazy expensive here too! They cost as much or sometimes even more than a newly released Nintendo game, but somehow they’re extremely popular here.

I know that nendoroids are supposed to have big heads but wow.

Didn't read the title properly and I thought Ishihara was stepping down as the president of TPC instead 😆. But even if leadership has changed for Creatures, I doubt this would bring improvement to any future Pokémon games. Welp, guess we just gotta wait and see.

Although my V1 Neon Switch still holds strong, I have been wanting an oled for awhile now. Though I might have to skip over this edition as I am holding out hope that they would release a mario edition oled hehe.

As for the pro controller, I just got the Splatoon 3 edition back in September, so I don't really need another.
