@tabris95 Yes. They made this clear when the DLC was first announced. I bought the DLC right after the announcement.

On a sidenote, what's with all the negativity about the ending? All the Xeno games are only loosely tied together anyways, the creators have stated so on several occasions. Personally, I think this ending works well as it ties up Klaus story/project and gives hope to the future, in a subtle manner, sure, but still satisfying. The DLC might shed some more light on this but to be honest it doesn't have too.

@philwhite I bought it before the game was out. Never been disappointed by a Xenoblade game. Can't wait to play this new wave this weekend.

Bought the DLC before the game launched. I've never been disappointed by a Xenoblade game or their DLC's before, so I had no reason to doubt this one either. Can't wait to try the challenges and Ino this weekend. How people didn't like the ending is something I can't fathom. The developers have stated on several occasions that the games are only vaguely interlinked with each other (like the NieR games and Drakengard). And XC3 wrapped up Klaus' project perfectly as well as providing hope for the future.

This is dedication. Love to see it.

I played the second one and thought it was good. But I won't buy the third one unless they voice it in English. Reading subtitles for 70+ hours get boring way before that mark. I've also had no plans of replaying the game after beating the main story and I never got into the post-game content.

Gameplay over graphics, all day. Can't wait for B3.

This Direct was great! So many games I'm into.
Bayonetta 3, TotK, FE Engage and Atelier Ryza 3 are all games I'll most likely buy. It was also nice to get a date for the Wave 2 DLC for Xenoblade 3 as well.
Add Sonys State of Play on top of that with more info about Stellar Blade and GoW Ragnarok and it's easy for me to say that yesterday was a good day!

This game is plain and simple a lot of fun. Kind of braindead entertainment. I especially enjoyed the fighting mechanics once I got used to them and the soundtrack is awesome.

@RubyCarbuncle You've totally missed the point of the battle system if this is how you feel about it. But no worries, the game has an autocombat setting so you don't have to learn the combat if you don't want too. Except for bosses. You'll have to beat the bosses on your own.

Great article. Personally I'm close to wrapping up the main story now and only collecting all the heroes. And I'll spend new game plus doing "everything" the game has to offer.

@Sonos I've played all 3 Xenoblade games plus Xenoblade X and I can tell you that no, you do not need to play the other games first.

I'm looking forward to Xenoblade Chronicles 3 which I already preordered. Bayonetta 3, BotW 2 and Metroid Prime 4. Tbh I don't need any more games out of Nintendo this year and the next.

Here's my theory. New Switch will launch after all the dlc tracks for mario kart are available and it will launch with Super Mario Oddyssey 2 as a cross gen title.

I just wrapped up Kirby. Such a fun game with more stuff to it than I expected tbh. Now I have no idea what to play.

I still haven't beat this game. I keep getting lost. Might have to resort to a walkthrough.

My bet is MK9 will launch with the next console Nintendo releases (2024 at the earliest).

Kirby is so much better than I expected. Bought it to play with the kids but started my own playthrough as well.

@John_Deacon I bought it on release off the hype it had for how it controlled but I was disapointed still. Good idea but poor execution imo.

Snake Pass always gets a lot of cred but I personally disliked a lot of aspects of that game.

My Series S and PS5 are taking a break this weekend because Kirby and the Forgotten Land on the Switch is all that matter right now. Lol.

@anoyonmus Yeah. I noticed the same thing. It's nice to see some new games that aren't Nintendo exclusives make their way to the Switch. Especially considering it will be 2 years into the nex-gen cycle. But like you said, it's probably not long stretch for the game considering it's also releasing on One and PS4

I got all 3 consoles and Im getting the switch edition of this one. Two reasons, I think it will run just fine and to have a game like this on the go must be awesome.

MK8 is the only MK I've ever played so I'm very excited to try these courses. They're all new to me XD

Personally, I would love a DLC for Astral Chain and Ring Fit Adventure. Of course, Super Mario Oddyssey as well but that was on the poll.

A game feels finished when you're done with it and have no need to play it anymore. Simple as that. Personally, I don't consider myself to have finished a game until the credits roll as a minimum, if it's that kind of game.

@Browny Same here. Out of all the consoles I ever bought my Switch is probably the best purchase so far.

I platted Horizon Forbidden West the other day so now it's back to New Game Plus of Ghost of Tsushima on PS5.
I started another playthrough of Cyberpunk 2077 to see if I'll enjoy it more this time around on my Series S.
I'll also probably play some Fire Emblem Three Houses (5th playthrough) on the Switch.

Horizon Forbidden West of course. But my chill out game is Fire Emblem Three Houses. So a combo of those all weekend. My Series is enjoying a well deserved break after being my go to console since launch.

This game will have my full attention when it launches. The two first ones are sooo good!

@ModdedInkling I played Persona Strikers. Good game overall but dont feel like going back to it after wrapping up the story.

Hyrule Warriors was fun but not enough to make want to check out another warriors game...

Frame rate dips is keeping me away from this game.

I have the OG switch and it works just fine. As long as Nintendo drops 3-4 exclusives a year for it I see no reason to upgrade.
I use the xbox and ps5 for everything else so...

I picked up Arceus for my gf so I could play Ghost of Tsushima in peace. Lol. Ill also be getting my online fix through Halo Infinite as usual. In other words, it's gonna be a good weekend!

Microsoft didnt gobble up AB. AB wanted to sell and Microsoft bought them. Rather that than Meta, Amazon, Google or Tencent buying AB. Microsoft has no plans on buying Nintendo or Sony for that matter. Unless they go bankrupt and have to sell. Nothing more to this really.

Microsoft bought Activision Blizzard because they wanted to sell. Im just glad Facebook turned down the purchase. That wouldve messed up gaming for sure. I dont see Microsoft being interested in Nintendo at all, except maybe getting game pass cloud gaming on it somewhere down the line.

Series S: Halo Infinite online and Tales of Arise (I can't wait for Hitman next week).

Switch: Fire Emblem Three Houses (my fifth playthrough, gameloop is too good).

Recently finished: Platted Spider-Man Miles Morales which I borrowed from a friend. Short story but overall the perfect lenght for 100% completion. I recommend it on sale.

Norwegian here. The movie is a childhood classic. Funny that they made a racing game based on it.

Only games I bought on the Switch this year was Dread and Persona Strikers. I enjoyed Persona Strikers but after beating the story I didn't want to revisit it. And I can't for the life of me beat Dread (I might have to find a walkthrough if I ever want to beat it).

Switch: This is so random but I've started Fire Emblem Three Houses again (this will be my fifth playthrough). Feels good to be back! I needed something relaxing to balance out the stress of Metroid Dread.

Series S: Forza Horizon 5 and Halo Infinite online. I can't wait for the campaign to drop next week. I'll also try to squeeze in som Tales of Arise.

PS5: I'll be earning the platinum for Death Stranding DC this weekend. I only have a few story missions left 💪

Switch: I would be playing Metroid Dread but my gf is still wrapping up the Pokemon Shield DLC's.
Ps5: Ghost of Tsushima DC and Death Stranding DC, I'm doing all the grinding possible before finishing the main story.

There's not enough hours in a day right now I swear.
