Series S: Halo Infinite (of course), Forza Horizon 5, Flight Simulator GOTY. I said it a while ago and Ill say it again. Xbox releasing these three titles the first year of the next gen is pure genious as these IPs are games I can play for the whole generation.

Nintendo Switch: Metroid Dread (unless my gf decides to kidnap my Switch to play the Pokémon Shield DLCs).

Ps5: Death Stranding DC.

With the black Friday sale going on on all platforms I'm considering buying Ghost of Tsushima DC, Tales of Arise and Monster Hunter Rise. R.I.P. Wallet.

@Kidfunkadelic83 I picked up the series s last year for the exact same purpose as you and this last year alone Ive played to a finish more games than I ever bough and played on ps3-5 and the wii u and switch combined. And theres a whole bunch of more games Ive checked out but didnt fall for.
I know this is a nintendo site but since the article is xbox related Im just gonna say it. Gamepass is awesome for expanding my gaming horizon and finding games I probably wouldnt have bought and thus missed out on.
Dont worry, I also love my Switch and PS5. I use those strictly for exclusives now. Xbox for everything else on top of their own exclusives.

Switch: Metroid Dread. I have developed such a love hate relationsship with this game. I feel so accomplished whenever I mamage to go further but I also havent rage quitted this much in my life I think.
Series S: Im starting Forgotten City this weekend. Really looking forward to it!
PS5: Death Stranding DC. This might be my favourite game of all time which is weird because its also a game I dont recommend to anybody.

Recently finished: The campaign in Back4Blood. A fun game but I dont see myself continue playing it.

Switch: I finally 100% Super Mario Oddyssey and Im very proud of that. Such a great and at times challenging game.
I took a chance on Metroid Dread and loving it so far even though I've barely started (just beat the 2nd Emmi).

@SolidSnake684 its actually not fair to point out because this is common knowledge and different businesses learn practices from each other all the time.

@SolidSnake684 Just because gaming is a newer and different medium isnt an excuse for bad practice though.

This is such a weird practice. In contrast, in the music business if somebody in the studio suggests just one word that end up in the final lyrics, they will get writing credits for it.

Kirby: Automata looks awesome. Kinda game I can play with the family.

Switch: Super Mario Oddyssey. I recently picked this game up again (after not touching it since I played it during launch) and want to get those final moons I havent collected yet. This game is still great btw.
I might buy Metroid Dread as well. Haven't played any Metroid games before but I figured I might as well jump into the newest one, especially since it's gotten such great reviews and feedback from players.
Series S: About to wrap up the campaign in Gears 5 for a third and final time. And play some more Scarlet Nexus. Im really enjoying the combat and bonkers story.

Glad to see you put Akira on this list as its one of my top 3 guesses. My other ones are Aloy from HZD and Jessie from Control. But now that Ive seen this list Id love to see tomb raider in the game.

Probably wont be any of these but I'd love to see the protagonist from Astral Chain, Aloy from HZD or Jessie from Control. All characters that would make for some interesting fighting mechanics.

@ModdedInkling It's not about gameplay though, gameplay is fine. It's the story that turns me off the dlc's as I've already explained.

@ModdedInkling me neither. It just killed my interest in the dlc.

@ModdedInkling All of the vanilla version (no dlc's). But that doesn't really matter. The game was promoted as a prequel but it became clear it's more of an alternative to the BotW canon. That's fine by me though but it made me lose interests in buying the dlc's unless they happen to connect AoC more to BotW.

I'll try the demo just because it has Yoko's name attached to it but I highly doubt I'll buy this one as I'm not a huge fan of card games.

I'll get this if one of the new story missions tie in with the beginning of BotW. Otherwise it's a pass from me.

I would love the protagonist from Astral Chain, 9S/2B from NieR Automata, Aloy from HZD or Jesse from Control. All of these characters have some interesting and unique fighting/combo/powers that I think would fit in well with Smash.

I recently finished Nier Automata for the third time and mopped up the last achievements in A Way Out plus completed the campaign of Outriders.

Series S: Play through route E again on Replicant before retiring the NieR games for a while.
Switch: Persona 5 Strikers and Atelier Ryza 2. I really want to finish at least one of them before Monster Hunter Stories 2 comes out. The demo is really good!
PS4: Collecting dust as usual.

Fun story. A friend of mine asked if I wanted to borrow his PS5 while he went on vacation and I said no, I dont need it. Funny how I over this past year has went from being all about PS to now not caring at all. GPU ftw + Switch for outside gaming. All I need until HZD2 or GoW2 drops... Maybe.

@Rosona Yeah. Its not the craziest backlog but I assume it will get longer now that the world is slowly turning back to normal.

Ive never had a backlog before in my life. Ive always been a buy a game, finish it before buying another type of person. But I might have to get Monster Hunter Stories 2 even though I haven't wrapped up Atelier Ryza 2 and Persona 5S yet. The demo is just too good!

Nice. Yesterday I finally got to try the mhs2 demo. I was very impressed by the artstyle and overall presentation. Im also looking for some relaxing turn based to compensate for the frantic Nier Automata and Persona Strikers combat Im currently playing so I might jump on mhs2 when it releases.

The two Zelda games will probably arrive sooner rather than later. If Star Fox Zero was given an overhaul that would make sense as well. As far as Xenoblade X, Monolith have previously stated it would be too much work to port it over, they would rather work on new games.

There's some conflicting messages here. Platinum saying its up to the publisher to decide when to show stuff. Nintendo saying the developer will show it when they have something.
