Re: Nintendo Switch 2 Officially Launches On 5th June 2025

Going to wait until they announce a Zelda edition. Got my TOTK OLED when it came out and I can't justify switching from that to a plain black console. My partner is still using his OG switch and might upgrade though, so I can play any exclusives on my profile on his console until then.

Re: Heads Up, A New Pokémon Scarlet And Violet Trailer Will Premiere Tomorrow

God I wish they'd do Zelda like this. Can you imagine if they released a trailer for ScarVi in June 2019 and then said nothing about it for two years?! This game was announced in February (with a full trailer mind you, not a 30 second cutscene) and there's been two full trailers and several mini-peeks since then, and it's releasing in November. That's how it should be.

Re: Poll: Will Mario Kart 8's Deluxe Booster Course Pass Make You Buy The NSO Expansion Pack?

Arbor

@Poco_Lypso I saw a couple different people answered your question but they were different answers and you used both "buy" and "subscribe" in your question so I just wanted to clarify: If you subscribe to NSO + Expansion Pass, you will be able to access the DLC for as long as you are subscribed. Once your subscription runs out, your access is revoked. If you purchase the DLC pass by itself from the e-Shop for the one time fee of $25 USD, you have permanent access to it regardless of any NSO subscription. So if you PURCHASE the pass and ALSO have a NSO + Expansion Pack subscription, then once your subscription expires, you can still access it.

Re: Poll: How Hyped Are You For Nintendo's E3 Direct?

Arbor

I'm so torn here. On the one hand, super hyped! I want Zelda news (obvs), but am looking forward to news about pretty much anything that looks interesting.
On the other hand, my financial aid got cut this year so I'm going to have to double my student loan debt... so a small part of me is kinda hoping that there's nothing interesting
But mostly I'm hyped!

Re: Random: "Games I Want Ported To Nintendo Switch" Twitter Hashtag Goes Viral In Japan

Random suggestion, but Minish Cap. It can only be played on the Gameboy or Wii U. I would say the three consoles people are most likely to own are Switch, Wii and DS/3DS. Every single Zelda game can be played on one of those systems except for Minish Cap. All the other Gameboy games are on 3DS VC, Wind Waker and Four Swords Adventures for GC can be played on the original Wii. The originals are available with NSO. Literally every Zelda game is fairly accessible nowadays, except for Minish Cap. So that is my #1 game to get ported to Switch.

I might be in the minority here, but I had a Wii growing up and my parents refused to buy the Wii U because they said it was no different than the Wii, just more expensive. Not sure how many people are in the same boat, but most of my friends' parents were the same way. So I just assumed that more people probably own a Wii than a Wii U.

Re: Shovel Knight: King Of Cards And Showdown Launch On 10th December

Arbor

is it worth a double dip? i bought shovel knight as-is for like $10 on the eshop when it was on a big sale. i haven’t played it much, but it seems fun. i usually stick to physical-only but the sale was good and i felt splurgy. i really want the physical but i’m hesitant to double dip.

Re: After Losing His Keys, Luigi Is Finally Ready To Race In Mario Kart Tour This Halloween

i don’t understand everyone complaining about “required” microtransactions. i have 25 drivers, all but 5 karts and 11 gliders and i haven’t spent a penny. all i did was sign up for the gold pass free trial, which everyone can do, and cancelled it afterwards. sure, maybe i’d have EVERYthing if i paid, but do i NEED everything? no. microtransactions, while maybe being an unethical practice in general, are NOT required for this game and it’s unfair to say so.

Re: Guide: Pokémon Sword And Shield: All Version-Exclusive Pokémon And Gym Leaders

Arbor

also why are people angry that other people like this game? “you’re paying for a 3ds game” yeah so? so what if someone wants to? does it affect you at all, in any way whatsoever, if somebody likes this game? are you going to be forced to play it because someone else likes it? no? then just let people be happy and stop taking out your bad feelings on others.

Re: Random: Playing Zelda: Breath Of The Wild Sequel's Trailer In Reverse Is Absolutely Terrifying

Arbor

i don’t really want co-op zelda. don’t get me wrong, both me and my dad are huge fans, but to me zelda just seems best enjoyed alone. it’s an immersive, beautiful experience, and idk, it just seems like it’s best alone. but that could just be the aspie in me talking. regardless, i really hope we get a chance to play as zelda! i saw someone somewhere on this forum (i forgot who, sorry) mention maybe link is stuck in the “dark world” and zelda in the “light world” and you have to alternate between both and work to save each other? that would be amazing!

Re: Banjo-Kazooie Confirmed For Smash This Fall

Arbor

i can’t believe this. those who predicted/wished for this were called idiots, and rightfully so. this was, from our perspective, a one in a million chance at least. i can’t believe this is happening! amazing things nowadays. this combined with the dark crystal game just might make my dad buy a switch, lol.

Re: Random: The Nintendo Wii Simply Refuses To Die

Arbor

honestly, i still play my wii! i grew up with it, and before the switch it’s the only console i’ve ever had a lot of games for. i had a 3ds, but i’d get like one game a year for christmas and that was it. my parents bought a lot of wii games so me and my siblings could play together. the wii is my childhood! i still play mario kart wii, wii sports (+ resort), and mario galaxy every now and then.

Re: Feature: Nintendo E3 2019 - What Are You Hoping For?

Arbor

i know everyone else wants SNES games on NSO, but i grew up during the gameboy era. i only ever owned, like, three games, but i’m hoping some of the great ones i never got a chance to play come to NSO. but i know that SNES will come first.

Re: Pricing For Zelda Spin-Off Cadence Of Hyrule Is Revealed

Arbor

@Quinnsdaddy11 well, companies that include those things usually only include them in “collector’s editions” which are like $60-70 :/ i’ve never seen a “standard edition” include more than an instruction manual and a trading card or something. i’m not an avid collector who buys every physical release, but the games i like, i just like to buy physical. hopefully it comes sooner or later.
