woah there was a 42 minute long Limited Run E3 press conference? Why is this the first time I'm hearing about this?
night in the woods is Q4 2019, not 2020
Kinda Funny Games is up next!
Sounds like a better conference than Ubisoft's
@RyanSilberman It's because it is.
Definitely getting Blaster Master. I had hoped it would be a collection at this point though. Same for Turok.
Rogue Legacy for sure!!! Loved that game on my Vita.
I've heard Transistor is brilliant, I reckon I'll grab a physical copy of that!
I'd rather watch this than Kinda Funny. Night in the Woods, Transistor for me.
The Nintendo 3DS was Nintendo's 5th handheld. 6th if you count the Game & Watch.
Night in the Woods and both Turoks for me. Can't wait either. I've heard so many good things about Night in the Woods but have kept putting it off for some reason. THIS is that reason! Also, the Turoks reviewed very well and look good. I loved the OG games on N64 so that will be a fun romp as well.
Sooo, that's the final physical 3DS release? Pretty underwhelming. God forbid a fantastic game like Persona Q2 being the last physical release, let's pump out a collection of some 3DS eShop games.
And by the way, i'm not calling the games in the Atooi collection bad, but this is a very weird choice. I thought if Limited Run went through the trouble of publishing a 3DS game for the first time so late in the systems life it would've been something nobody saw comming. Well, i guess nobody expected this collection, but i'm sure nobody screamed "Oh please release a Atooi collection physical on 3DS.
Sorry for this litte rant, but the 3DS is my favorite system off all time and i thought Persona Q2 was the best swansong possible for Nintendo's last traditional handheld.
I would love to get that Power Rangers game, but damn thats expensive.
Night in the Woods is a must have.
Between this and Gods & Monsters, all Nintendo will have to do tomorrow is show off previously announced titles and I’ll be stoked
I'll take Freedom Planet
Freedom Planet
Blaster Master not being a collection of 1 & 2 just kinda turned that off for me. I'll just buy another copy on Steam instead.
the wording for Atooi collection seems to point at this being the first 3DS game they will publish, safe to say more may be in the pipeline.
Turok 2!!! Gonna need that.
Extremely peeved about Power Rangers. It would have been nice to have a heads up about the physical release, MONTHS ago! From now on, I'm just going to wait it out on all digital games. Sucks that things have to be this way but until developers and publishers start being more forward about physical releases, they can expect less sales at the release of a game.
Turok 1 & 2 for sure!
Let's hope I can avoid killing my pterodactyl this time. 😳
Aw why does it had to be them making physical copies? As much as I like them for doing these physical releases, the problem is that I probably won't be able to get them on release date and may end up never seeing them as they won't be available anywhere else.
Yea i know what you mean @LightyKD. I started putting digital only games on my wishlist about 3/4 of a year ago just to see if they get a physical release or a discount. It seems publisher release digital only at first just to fund a physical release later.
Does Power Rangers really require a Limited Run to be physical when Hasbro paid around half a billion for the franchise?
I wish limited run would announce their releases like this more often.( with more advance warning) I hate waiting every two weeks or so for an announcement on their next game. It's hard to budget money that way especially for the collectors editions.
Great the first 3ds game is a collection of mediocre at best games. Come on guys the eshop has so much better.
I'll definitely be picking up Night in the Woods and Transistor. Whatever the future brings I'll definitely want accesses to them 20 years from now.
Definitely picking up Night in the Woods, Turok, and Turok 2.
Both Turoks and Blaster Master are the only ones worth it to me.
Was excited for this broadcast. Was hoping for Stardew Valley physical. Nuts!
But yes, waited for a long time for the physical Freedom Planet since the Wii U days and it has arrived. And the Star Wars retro possibilities? Can't wait!
Interested in Turok 1 and 2 but I’m guessing they’ll be $30 USD each as normal so I’ll likely pass given the cost per title plus shipping. If both games were on one cart then maybe.
@waluigifan1 Those Mutant Mudds games are far from mediocre, and to be released with the 3D as designed. Great collection here and hopefully just the beginning of mining the 3DS eShop.
Definitely getting Night in the Woods, it sounds awesome. Also probably be getting Blaster Master Zero, Transistor, Freedom Planet and Turok 1 & 2, they all seem to have very positive reviews for the most part, and I don't want to regret not getting them later on. Hopefully they'll release Bastion soon too, they've already released it on PS4 and Vita.
@retro_player_22 If you mean you might not get in before they sell out, all their standard release Switch games are open preorders for at least two weeks, so they're much less stressful to try and get than those from Super Rare and most other limited number companies for the Switch.
@TurboTEF At least this would hopefully mean any future DLC would be included on the cartridge itself (I haven't played either Blaster Master game yet, but I heard the first one got DLC).
Strangely, their vita ´ s releases are more exciting
@ALinkttPresent Because you didn't hear about it before.
This was really strong. I want 80% of these games. So great to finally see Blaster Master Zero get its much deserved physical. Night in the woods...amazing. The Turok's for sure, Transistor, Freedom Planet, Blazing Chrome.
@SenseiDje I doubt that.
Thought Turok and Turok 2 would be on one cartridge, way to drag out money Limited Run. ( true, I will still buy them )
Quite a few there which I will have to get
Finally, Blaster Master Zero!!! I'll definitely be getting it. I saw a few posters unhappy it's not a double pack with Zero 2, but I'd prefer them released separately so that when Zero 3 comes out it doesn't look odd with two of them bundled but the third one on its own.
Lol Turok needs two carts - lrg know how to milk us!
Oh wow Turok 2!! Brings back N64 memories!! I might have to try to get that...
Good heavens... a 3ds release!
I'm disappointed that they hadn't announced Late Shift. They released a physical version for PS4 last year, and I found it odd that they hadn't also issued one for Switch.
It says Q4 2019 (rather than 2020) in the picture itself, so I'm going to trust that this is when Night in the Woods comes around! ;D
I bought NITW 3 weeks ago, but I may buy the physical version when it releases. I have yet to make up my mind about how good this game is, but it might be the best game I've ever played.
That collectors edition of transistor looks promising. Very Klimt inspired.
@Timsworld2 Can't believe so many people are still that mad about the lack of an english dub. Just like you said, Persona Q2 sold very poor in Japan, and that's the reason we didn't get an english dub.
At the end of the day Atlus is a company who want's to sell a product. They have to think reasonable about about game localization. Persona Q2 barely managed to sell 10000 copies in Japan, so do you really think it would get better sales over here? Also making an english dub for a game with so many character voices would be very costly and possible delay the western release even further and Atlus would make a lot of losses. Don't think for a moment companys release games because they love us so much and want to make sure we're happy above all else.
And if you're calling Persona Q2 an insult to the 3DS because it's only dubbed in japanese you should really reconsider how you think about games. I bet you didn't even play the game, because if you did you knew it's very fun and polished. But i guess whining about stuff you don't understand is way easier for the majority of gamers these days.
I don't care about any of the above games from them except for the non-switch announced star wars games. Give me those.
Will be picking up Blaster Master Zero.
@Timsworld2 Oh. That sucks. :/
Now for me to play the waiting game to see which of these games I have currently backlogged will be picked up by GameFly for me to rent...
Ooooh... I forgot about Double Switch, that's a blast from the past!
@Timsworld2 You're really overreacting.
It's not hard to get why the game didn't sell well. Since Persona Q2, an Etrian Odyssey style game which are pretty niche anyway, released at the end of the 3DS lifespan it's no wonder the game didn't fly off the shelves. Even in Japan the 3DS was pretty much done at this point.
It's also clear now that you didn't play the game or took a closer look at it at all. I already played it for 15 hours and can definetly say it was made with love and care. It feels like they really wanted to improve on the first Persona Q, even though they knew a sequel wouldn't sell well by the time it's finished.
Also nice to know that you think developers are idiotic clowns because their game didn't sell well. The people who made critically acclaimed games that didn't sell well like Okami and Zero Escape sure are dumb jerks.
Looks like english speaking players can be really whiny about the lack of an english dub. European players hardly get any games dubbed in their native language. If i refused to buy games just because they're not fully translated into german i would've missed out on a lot of great titles. I still can understand why people are upset because there is no english dub, but seriously, stop acting like the game is disgusting and the people who made it are the biggest scum that ever lived on earth.
Also thanks for trying to make me feel bad because i bought a game i was really looking forward to and i'm enjoying a lot right now. You must be a really likable person
@Kinoen Wow u right that's crazy pricing...cheeky...
It looks like the PS5 and the next Xbox (Scarlet or whatever) will be the last consoles to take a physical disc, here in Africa physical release PC games are almost non existent on the street and with Google Stadia just around the corner those numbers will drop even more. Some of these recent physical releases feel like a "money making" exercise and people will always go for it.
@Timsworld2 I think the Persona Q2 DLC is pretty harmless at the end of the day. Most of it are game breaking Sub-Personas, so if you wanna blast through the story with no effort have at it. It's not like they're enhancing the experience in any way, since the game is rather balanced to begin with and has 5 difficulty options you can change at any time. It also doesn't look this all those DLC pieces took long to make. They have been available for months in Japan, we just got them all on release day over here.
And again, Atlus is a company who trys to sell a product and not a charity organization. Doesn't matter which developer/publisher you're talking about, if they think the product they're trying to sell will make losses rather then profit they think about ways to mitigate this.
