Re: Yooka-Laylee Dev Playtonic Games Teases New Game Reveal

adding on to my previous comment, yooka-laylee’s target audience is those with nostalgia who played banjo and/or other collectathons on the n64 as a kid. of COURSE people who never played those games would find this game boring! that being said, i think a sequel would be unwise as this target audience is only so large, and it would be wiser to appeal to more people. if they want to do another nostalgia or retro inspired game, it should appeal to more people than just those who played banjo, or have some modern appeal.

i just bought yooka laylee a few weeks ago and have been having a blast with it! not sure how well a sequel would go though. the first game is great, but the second game would just be like “...now collect THESE things, from THIS evil corporation”.

Re: Pokémon Sword And Shield Revealed For Nintendo Switch, New Starters Shown

y’all are ridiculous. after BOTW, you act like any game that’s not a 200+ hour massive open world game is trash. i’ma let you in on a secret... it’s okay for games to have a semi-linear progression. nintendo cannot JUST make open world games. i think the graphics look great, if you disagree that is fine, but i’m getting a little sick of every comment section being “why no open world? why no botw?”

Re: Funko Eager To Produce Nintendo-Themed Pop Figures

I think funkos are great for kids, when I was a lot younger for example I collected all the My Little Pony funkos because to me they were cuter than a figure that actually looked exactly like the character. Kids don't look at funkos and think "this is a soul-less mass-produced market-clogging plastic garbage!" like apparently everyone in this comment section thinks. Kids think "that's cute!" I personally would rather collect amiibos than funkos as an (almost) adult, but if you like funkos then more power to you. None of my business.

Re: Talking Point: Is The Remake Of Zelda: Link’s Awakening Worth $60?

Arbor

the Nintendo site's page for the game describes it as a "modern reimagining", which is about as vague as could be. they don't say "remake", therefore I am inclined to believe there will be added content, but the vagueness of "reimagining" does leave the possibility that it is indeed just a remake and not a "remaster". however I feel if there was no added content they would have just said "remake" from the get-go instead of keeping us on our toes for nothing. but you never know.

Re: Game Boy Classic Zelda: Link's Awakening Is Getting Remastered For Switch

hyped!! when I was a kid this was the first game I owned, but for some reason it never saved. dunno if I was dumb or if something was wrong with the cart (I was like six to be fair), but i'd play it for hours, completing the first dungeon in one go, but then it would all disappear. I'm so excited to have a chance to finally play it! also, I feel like the art style is perfect- adorable and 3d, but simple enough that you still feel like you're playing the same game, not a completely different one. i'm so excited!!!!!

Re: Nintendo Direct To Air Tomorrow, Wednesday 13th February

definitely, definitely not getting my hopes up... but... wind waker and minish cap switch port? right now, i can play every zelda game on consoles i own already except those two. (and four swords/adventures, but i don't have anyone to play those with haha so they don't count) i really wanna play each game in timeline order, but i can't without buying a wii u and i'd rather not haha
