@shani I've never had an issue with my headphone jack on the 3DS, it's friction lock is strong enough to hold the weight of the 3DS unit itself (and it's an XL). Sounds like you got a bad one.
The cable doesn't get tangled on me, but I don't spend a lot of time on trains or busses. I don't use them on the Wii U though, I have no need for that.
My main use is as a computer programmer, I like to listen to music while I code. However most phones won't last the work day that way so they need to be on the charger, while I'm listening. There seems to be no way to do that on the iPhone 7 without having headphones that would also have to be charged periodically. Which means the phone simply doesn't fit my needs any longer. On top of that, I don't want to have to carry multiple sets of headphones to use with my 3DS. It's just more complicated. You would think apple could have made an adapter with both a headphone jack and a lighting charge port splitter, but they aren't as smart as they think they are.
Emulators are 100% original programming and contain no trademarks or copyrighted material. The operating system and game files are attached to it from a separate file which the emulator author doesn't provide. This makes them incredibly difficult to take down.
The time shifting is an incredibly stupid idea. I was going to get Moon, but now feel I'm being forced to get Sun because I don't want to be in the dark all the time.
Basically unless you work nights and are accustomed to being asleep during the day you want Sun.
@Adhrast Well as I said earlier, I wish they would do a 2.5D Metroid-throwback. It worked so well for New Super Mario Brothers and Donkey Kong Country. The 3D Metroids are certainly popular but that doesn't mean they can't do both.
@Adhrast It might not have bothered you but there is a greater issue at hand above Nintendo and Retro. Since the first game, when the end credits ran and Samus removed her armor and you found out it was a woman the whole time, she quickly became Nintendo's representative of female empowerment. I don't think Nintendo ever intended that reaction, but Zelda and Peach were off getting themselves kidnapped repeatedly and rescued by a man, while Samus was out kicking butt and taking names.
Then comes Other M, where the character takes a sudden turn around. That really hit hard with those enjoyed the fact that a strong female character could be just as powerful as a male character. Ultimately I think that was what doomed Other M.
Don't get me wrong, Other M is one of my favorites and I haven't even finished the first Metroid Prime. I loved the game, just not the story.
@Adhrast The gameplay itself was beautiful. I think the chief complaint over Other M was the corruption of the Samus character in the story. She went from a brave bounty hunter to a little school girl with a crush who couldn't use her weapons without permission.
I get Metroid prime, it is a lot of fun. However, why is it they can't do the same thing the Mario franchise did with NSMB? I mean the first person is OK, but not great.
They don't have to abandon the first person view, Mario didn't abandon 3D games. All I want platformer Metroid (similar to Metroid 3 etc) using HD graphics and NSMBU/DKC TF style depth. Is that too much to ask for? We haven't had a platformer Metroid since Fusion.
I wish they would just do an HD remake of Skyward Sword with new controls. It's such a great game and got such a terrible showing just because of it's controls. Not to mention for some reason it looks terrible now, it actually looked better on the Wii in 480p then it does on the Wii U. It's all grainy now.
It needs integrated Twitch and YouTube support. That kind of 'advertising' would certainly help improve the situation they had with the Wii U.
As for the split D-pad, as I recall Sony patented that design, so they may not have been able to use it in the past so they stuck with the tradition. The patent has probably run out now, it is a superior design. It has far less chance of accidentally hitting the wrong button.
I tried it, and I had loads of fun. But it's not a game I would value at it's current price. It's just not something I would play long term. Maybe if they make it a Nintendo Select I would throw $20 at it.
If it had local splitscreen (i.e. Mario Kart) I would spend more, but as others mentioned there are server concerns and end of life to be wary of.
I was only interested in this game before I found out there would be no good split screen multiplayer (like Mario Kart). I don't like online shooters at all, this is no different. I haven't bought it, I doubt I ever will. Maybe Splatoon 2 will have what I want.
Absolutely not! Finding the new pokemon and learning their evolutions for the first time is one of the great aspects of a new Pokemon game. They should never spoil it with a crappy phone game that is already past it's prime.
It's bad enough they've already spoiled near 30 of them through videos. Let us discover them in the game, don't ruin it!
@Jeronan The tracking system worked for about a week. Probably before you started playing the game.
After it broke, Pokevision was the only way to really play the game. Now the tracker is both broken and pokevision is gone so there is no way to play the game.
In Alpha Sapphire you did not wander around the world aimlessly. You followed a rather strict path that you couldn't deviate from. This was true of ALL core games. Trackers were not necessary because there was always a Snorlax to block your path or an ocean and you without the Surf ability, and you always knew there would be a pokemon in the tall grass. They are two different game concepts, and Go MUST have a tracker or you can walk for hours and not find a damn thing. I did this right after the patch, 2 hours wandering around and I didn't even find a pidgey.
The game is now dead to me. It's clear Niantic doesn't have a clue what they are doing and even if they do fix the tracker, I don't want to get invested in a game they are sure to screw up again.
@Jeronan So the alternative is no way to find them at all? They could have fixed the tracking system before disabling the API websites, they chose not to. Now the game has no gameplay function at all. You just wander around aimlessly? I don't think so, I've uninstalled the game and I'm going back to Alpha Sapphire while I wait for Sun and Moon.
@RodSD64 Because Windows Phone OS users do not make up a third of the mobile population. They would be lucky to make up 5%. From a business standpoint, the OS is worse than the Wii U in terms of return on investment.
They need to wait a really long time before increasing the cap. Let the player base level out first. Some people just have no life and can spend all day with this game, but for those of us that can't you would be setting up a moving target and basically making it impossible for them to ever have a chance at gym battles.
@foodmetaphors Because Nintendo owns the intellectual rights to the GameBoy operating system, which you would have to reverse engineer in order to make such a thing work.
I hope not, those analogs are terribly uncomfortable on the 3DS, I won't buy a console with them. Maybe if they are truly detachable we will have both options, but they better package the real analog sticks with the console cause I won't buy it if I have to buy them separate.
@diwdiws @akaDv8R I was specifically referring to the console market. Nvidia owns 0% of GPU's there (unless you count SHIELD, but I don't). No one is arguing their abilities in the PC market, that market has no bearing on consoles, so why would I be discussing it here?
@HSuzumiyaVI Ok, well I don't know what you were trying to say then. I'm sorry, it's just not clear. You mentioned something about Polaris and Vega, as far as I know those are stars.
@HSuzumiyaVI I still have no idea what you are talking about. If you are replying to something I said, you are going to have to be more clear. Your two lines in two replies now don't seem to correlate with the one comment I made.
@Zeldafanforlife Business politics. Nvidia knows their competitor is killing them in the market right now, if they want to get back in the market, they will bend over backwards for Nintendo to do it. That could mean technical assistance, or even price cuts on the chips. If AMD can't or won't compete, Nintendo will go with Nvidia.
I'm not sold that the rumor is true, but I wouldn't discount it just because of history with AMD.
I'm playing it on an Alcatel Pixi Eclipse. It meets all the technical requirements according to the Play Store listing (which doesn't list connection speed or resolution FYI) and it costs $20 at Walmart. It mostly runs ok, though sometimes it does lose connection to the GPS (without the red bar warning) and you have to restart. It also doesn't have an accelerometer or gyroscope so you really can't play in AR mode.
If it's only working the first time, it's more likely that it just doesn't work at all and the people that think it does are getting lucky. I mean, if there is a 1 in 3 chance it will work, that means it doesn't work... because there is a 1 in 3 chance you will get what you want anyway.
@Darknyht That's not how Pokemon Works. You get supplies only from the pokestops, once you obtain them you have to wait a few minutes to get more from that stop.
@Roam85 I don't think that will ever happen. It's going to be hard to police. There are businesses now that are already pokestops. They would have to go through every pokestop in the world and remove those before adding a "pay to get a pokestop" service.
It needs to be a bit easier to obtain pokeballs. Walking by a pokestop isn't enough, you have to camp there for at least a few spins or you won't get enough to catch the pokemon you find. That may be different if more pokestops are available but I have trouble finding them, there is one near me and I just have to go there and sit around waiting on the timer. That's just boring.

@shani Or I could use the ones I have and not buy a piece of junk for a phone.
Re: Video: Check Out Some Official Footage of Super Mario Run
@tysonfury Why would I want wireless headphones. My 3DS can't use them, and that's just more crap I have to charge.
Re: Video: Check Out Some Official Footage of Super Mario Run
@JarusPokemon Includes it, or buy it separately? Can it be on the charger while the headphones are plugged in?
Re: Video: Check Out Some Official Footage of Super Mario Run
Not that I really want it, but if it's stuck on a phone with no headphone jack I certainly won't be getting it.
