Listen up, trainers! There's a new item up for grabs in Pokémon Sword and Shield. This time around it's the hold item Weakness Policy.
As explained by Serebii.net, the code for this item was released during the Pokémon Players Cup 3 stream. It's available from now until 26th April, so be sure to redeem it while you still can. The code you'll need for this particular item is: WPF1NALSPC3
"When held by a Pokémon, it raises the Pokémon's Attack and Sp. Attack stats by two stages whenever it is hit by a move that is Super Effective"
Have you redeemed this item yet? Are you still playing Sword and Shield on a regular basis? Leave a comment down below. View all of the past code distributions for Sword and Shield in our full guide.

Time to get it now!
This giveaway is pretty weak if you ask me
They’re holding back on legendary/shiny distributions, I notice. By the this point we’d have got like the new Regi’s, shiny, through EB Games. Guess they don’t want us to get used to just downloading them and not having to trek out the shops.
Weakness Policy is an utterly top tier amazing item in a dynamax VGC meta. It's on virtually every team.
It's also extremely cheap and easy to obtain in game and available in unlimited quantities. So I don't understand why this is a thing.
How about the insanely expensive ability patch item? That would be much nicer. And would not require any more effort on Game Freak's part.
@Northwind There's a point to not being complacent about trivial giveaways - if people like you respond positively every time a corporation gives out something minor or common, they will do that more and more as the company realizes such trivial things is all they have to do in order to satisfy the playerbase.
If you enjoy such minor gifts, more power to you, but don't rail against people who aren't satisfied or recognize the negative trend this could work towards.
@Northwind
If it's free, people will complain. If it costs money, people will complain. If they don't even own the game, people will complain.
grumble grumble grumble grumble
(Enjoys the safety of knowing that when it comes to Pokemon, grumbling is always the cool thing to do)
Is this giveaway kind of lame? Yes. It is
Do I recognize it's free and they could have easily not given anything away at all? Yes. I do
I do feel for a game that felt a little on the gimpy side to begin with, more of an effort, to make these events exciting, would be put in. I realize that's easier said than done. I also realize some will point to the expansion pack as more content and you wouldn't be wrong. I'm also aware some were and have been satisfied with the game and my opinion is just my personal gripes. I say all this as probably the biggest Pokémon fan you could find
To answer one the question on whether I'm still playing, I think I've fired up Pokémon Shield maybe once or twice since finishing the Crown Tundra DLC back when it released. It ended up being for a few minutes each. I've also noticed my total play time for the game is the lowest of any Pokémon game. I still haven't even gotten to 200 hours yet and that's usually a drop in the sand for me when it comes to Pokémon. I don't dislike this generation in concept. But there just always felt like something was off with these games and for whatever reason, just haven't completely clicked with me like others have.
Went and download it before missing it.
@peppermillian This opinion is equally valid
@Northwind
I dunno, there's just something about giving us shinies and/or legendaries instead. Y'know, considering those are, like, pieces of code that are already in the game.
Said it before, will say again - Pokémon singlehandedly kept the makers of GameShark afloat, and it shouldn't be hard to see why.
