I'm really looking forward to getting my switch. Zelda, Bomberman and world of Goo on day one. There are at least 7 games I'm looking forward to during the first year, (not including VC). I think Nintendo should have given us one more big hitter on day one, Zelda is not everyone's taste. Because I can take the switch everywhere I can see it being my most used console in 2017.

Blimey, come on Nintendo, you spent the best part of an hour saying how good HD rumble is and how it will be a game changer, yet you don't include it in the most high profile launch game. What next " some games will not work in portable mode??!!" But on the plus side, it might save on battery.

Does anyone know if the Eshop will be there from day 1? I'm going to go 100% digital with switch. Will be pretty hacked off if I cant buy games on launch!

I pre ordered my Switch today. I was thinking if I waited till after the 12th, there would be a pre order rush, and might miss out on launch. So I'm happy.

I've been playing on the gear VR for a couple of months now, and I think VR is the way forward, just imagine stepping into a 360 degree mushroom kingdom. All you naysayers have not tried VR, because once you have given it a go, its hard not to love it and see the potential

Kick and Fenick, is a decent game, but gets very tough very quickly, I've still not got to the end on the Vita.

I think this is a massive mistake, NX will miss the christmas period, where people might be looking for a new console, launching in march means that no one who does not read gaming media will not know about a new console. PSVR will have been on the market since october and by march will be seen as the future of gaming. So by march the NX will face an uphill struggle.

Who cares if a game you like did not win an award ? does it make your enjoyment any less ? All awards are pointless, and voted for by luvvies who take pleasure in back slapping each other.

A classic, but one that has not aged well.

Because of the timing of PSVR being october and not in the first half of the year, I had to judge which I wanted the most, PSVR or the NX, ( I think the NX will launch in November) I went with PSVR, purely because I know what it is, and I know a couple of the games which it is launching with, also the preorders were selling very fast. VR will be a massive problem for the NX because it will have hype and a lot of coverage in the next couple of months. To combat this Nintendo NEED to share some details about NX. Like what it is, when its coming and what can I play on it. If it keeps its plans secret for much longer, people will forget it even exists.

I'm sure I wasn't the only person sat with PSVR preorder in my Amazon basket this morning, thinking if I click "buy now" I won't get a NX until late 2017.

Nintendo need to let people, outside gaming media know about the NX, I really hope they pull it out of the bag ....... but I doubt they will.

I do think the SNES VC on 3ds is a wasted op. Look how good the sega 3d classics turned out with a bit of work, I wish Nintendo had given the 3ds SNES games the same treatment.

For once I think Nintendo is telling the truth. I f they could get them running on the older models to a good standard they would, simply because it would mean more sales! Nintendo being a very greedy company would not cut out millions of extra sales just to make a point. The people on here who think otherwise, also believe we did not land on the moon, and the US government took the twin towers down!

Its not just nintendo, I took a screen shot on Wolfenstien on PS4, posted it to the Pushsquare community , with the title "Nazi gun porn" it came up showing **** gun ****, so made no sense what so ever. I was surprised because Push square is normally more relaxed than NL on mild swear words.

Now the Wii u is coming to the end of its life. I think Nintendo should port over to PS4?Xbox some of the better wii u games, MK8,Splatoon etc. Doing this would not harm sales on wii u, would get some decent free interest in the NX, and make loads of much needed cash for nintendo. win win for gamers and nintendo.

@Xenocity I disagree, everybody on this site knows at least one ps4 or xb1 owner who would love mario kart 8 but won't buy a wii u. I honestly think a ps4 mario kart would sell more than the wii u version.

A very simple solution for Nintendo to get noticed by gamers who missed out on the Wii u and drum up interest for the NX, would be to release Mario kart 8 on ps4 and xb1. Don't shoot me down ....... Most people who want it on the Wii u have already brought it, so Nintendo won't lose out on sales there.A Release on ps4 and xb1 would boost sales to stupid levels, it has the potential to be one of the best selling games of the last couple of years. Then all Nintendo have to say is ": for more fantastic games like MK8, you will need a NX" Its a win win for everyone.

The comments about a modern day SNES are spot on. No more gimmicks, just a dam good console with a conversational control pad, match the power of the PS4 and launch with some cracking games and it will be a winner. It's got to launch next year in time for xmas, because dragging the life out of the Wii u into 2017 will do Nintendo more harm than good.

I honestly think Nintendo are so out of touch with what gamers want, the NX will struggle. To prove this point, look at Miitomo. If Nintendo want to lure ps4/xb1 gamers to buy there mobil games , release a game they want.....mobil mario or a new version of mario kart. Not a poor social media app.

I think having backward compatibility holds a new console back and creates problems. Remember the days when you got a new console and you just accepted you needed to buy new games ...... I miss those days. I know that may upset a few. The NX has to launch for xmas 2016, it has to be at least as powerful as the PS4, with a "normal" controller (Wave bird 2 would do the trick) and a cracking set of games at launch. Without ANY of these the NX will flop and cause Nintendo major problems.

Drop the price, and really push the off TV play. At this time of year we have strictly come dancing and the X factor (girlfriend/wife tv) you push off tv play as .... play MK8 or splatoon while the other half watches bad TV

I've not got splatoon yet. Thinking of getting it tomorrow, am I to late ? will I find it tough to win matches as a newbie ? also is there still lots of people playing /

This christmas will be the wii U's last, I honestly think the NX will launch for xmas 2016. Make it £150 with MK8 and it would fly off the shelves.
