Re: New Limited-Time Switch 2 Offer Features A Small Saving On Mario Galaxy

@Tyranexx I replayed SMG2 on Wii U a few years back and it held up exceptionally well. I use an upscaler for GCN games on Wii but Wii U with its built-in HDMI upscaler is so much more convenient for Wii games. The original Wiimote and Nunchuk control scheme is wonderful though I think I did read the Switch collection is better than All Stars in terms of the joycon controls. It's a really wonderful game and I'd like to replay it again one day...

Played the demo on PC. It's truly wonderful. The Switch 2 is going to be saved by games like this, this year. No new 3D Mario, no new Zelda, no new mainline Pokémmon, no multiplayer Splatoon, no new Animal Crossing. Honestly, this and Orbitals are the two games on Switch 2 I'm most looking forward to this year.

By the way, why some keep on bringing up Steam as if only that had good deals when Deku Deals etc. and to a lesser extent also sales articles here on Nintendo Life prove that games get constantly and even significantly discounted on the eShop, too (less so when it comes to games by Nintendo, but those aren't on Steam in the first place anyway)?
Currently here in Italy and so most likely Europe in general there are 5841 games discounted according to Deku Deals and you can see several examples in the article about the latest European sale on this very site...

Glad for those who'll get Switch 2 and the Galaxy games thanks to this and hopefully enjoy both - again, how I wish the focus were on Switch 2 and the games on it themselves instead of other aspects, especially starting prices (again, instead of being so fixed on those people could and should look/wait for discounts by using Deku Deals, Amazon trackers, discounted eShop cards etc.)...

LAAAAAAYTON!!!!

As mixed as I am about Level-5's decision making lately, I am looking forward to this presentation. It's also early enough in my day that I should be able to catch it live unless the runtime becomes long. Besides Professor Layton and the New World of Steam, I'm also looking forward to hopefully hearing more about DECAPOLICE and Holy Horror Mansion (though this one depends on how much they lean into generative AI).

Re: Video: Pokémon Champions 'World Overview' Trailer Released

@BrazillianCara Sure some have single player tutorials. Or an entire single player campaign (Splatoon). But with Pokémon you absolutely already have single player versions (ie. the rpg games). To me games like Splatoon are actually 2 games in one. And then with a lot of effort become a very good game that does both. But a game that is purely focused on multiplayer and designed to give the best multiplayer experience you can have with Pokémon (let's hope so) , I am happy they don't waste time developing a half baked single player mode.

Also it's a free to start game. Those usually don't have purely single player campaigns. Sure I get wanting a different game, but then just wait until that game is made.
