So many have been eagerly awaiting an official release date announcement for wave 3 amiibo in North America, rather than the vague "February 2015" that has been floating around; now we're finally one step closer. Earlier today, a Reddit user by the name of KingOfRedLions posted on the amiibo Subreddit forum with an attached image of what is believed to be a memo sent out to GameStop employees detailing wave 3 availability.
While the memo does say that the figures are not street dated and can be sold as soon as they arrive in stores, estimated arrival dates are still provided for eight of the ten characters. Take a look at the memo that was posted:
The dates, according to the memo, are as follows:
- Bowser: February 6
- Sheik, Shulk, Toon Link, Ike, and King Dedede: February 13
- Mega Man and Sonic: February 20
It's unclear at the time of writing whether or not these dates came directly from Nintendo, and as such should be taken with a grain of salt. Does this memo seem believable to you? Are you a GameStop employee who saw this as well? Let us know in the comments below!
