A new trailer for Hot Wheels Unleashed has lifted the lid on the game's Track Builder, a feature that'll let you design and build your very own trademark orange tracks from the comfort of your sofa.
The Track Builder actually gives players the exact same tools, items, tracks, and layouts that were used by the development team when creating the standard tracks available in-game. If you can master those tools, and have the imagination to go with it, you'll have the ability to make tracks that are just as good as the official ones on show.

You can get a quick glimpse of the Track Builder in the new trailer above, or enjoy a deeper dive into how it all works in the video below, hosted by Lead Game Designer, Federico Cardini.
After more than two years of development, the final result allows players to create crazy tracks in an extremely easy way, starting with choosing one of the environments available in the game, including the Track Room - a special stage designed specifically to showcase the freedom of the Track Builder.
Any element of the environments could potentially be part of the course. This means that players can mix track modules with different objects and obstacles from any environment in order to create dynamic and unpredictable races. Players will also have the chance to bring their tracks to the next level, thanks to the special Track Builder Modules. More than 20 amazing modules are available, such as T-Rex Escape, Spider Ambush, and Hungry Cobra to make the tracks even more unique, insane, and challenging. The Track Builder also features the chance to share creations with the world or enjoy the crazy tracks made by other players. Being part of the community means having the chance to become an extraordinary designer or simply a racer always looking for new adrenaline and unpredictable challenges.
Hot Wheels Unleashed speeds onto Switch on 30th September. Are you thinking of taking this one for a spin?

Looks awesome. Sure would like Mario Kart Maker to be a thing.
I think that actually looks amazing. Maybe this will be where Mario Kart goes next, a la Mario Maker
Hmm, I do like the idea of track builders, I never have any ideas, but love playing others, just like Mario Maker tbh
This looks so very good! Just like Mario Maker 2 is one of my top Mario games, i think this could be one of my favorite racing games. I am very interested in this game. Do we know a price yet?
Since their fancy CGI trailer this game caught my attention, now I can say with confidence that they have secure a sale 🙂
Now, imagine, a new F-Zero game with this possibility and Nintendo 'magic'....
Dont really care about building but it’d be fun to race on others though like @Bunkerneath said..
Look forward to the reviews and then hopefully the game depending on the reviews.. the amount of different Hot Wheel cars in the world is astonishing so DLC should be pretty good and the game looks amazing
I recently picked up Gravel, also made by Milestone. Held off due to lukewarm reviews, but it's actually a lot of fun. Like Sega Rally with a sprinkling of sim-ish elements. Made me way more excited for this game.
Yeah this is the first time I’m actually watching a video of the gameplay and I’m 100% buying it now. It looks like a great mix of Rush 2049 and like… beetle adventure racing and… it looks awesome. Plus I’m sure there’s going to be some kind of car collecting mechanic which I think is cool.
And I’m off to preorder!
The more I'm seeing the more I'm getting excited...
Rainbow Road clones incoming in 3...2...1...
Hmm, might add this to eShop wishlist and pick it up some day
Oh, if they have models of real Hot Wheels cars, that is so cool. I think I did see any. But I think it is really cool. I used to be a crazy fanatic about Hot Wheels.
It looks awesome. I just hope people make sane tracks and not the abominations found in track mania.
