I only see two solutions... either a) utilize ai upscaling to fake 4k or b) have a dock with an integrated egpu for more performance when connected to a screen that warrants the additional image fidelity.

Finished the prologue and have the tactician's edition pre-ordered so I'm ready. Just wished the voiceover weren't so cheesy, but heck, didn't keep me from loving shenmue either.

Why is everyone so excited about the Wii version? Was it any better than PS3/360 from its gameplay? Those had some pretty sweet procedurally generated animations, as well as for the time sophisticated materials and physics systems. The story was good as well, though nobody beats Kyle Katarn imho.

Cross save would be amazing, but I won't get my hopes up for it.

@Bakfug just saying that certain games would profit more of a remake rather than a remaster (or port) if they're so beloved, because these have not aged well. Yes, people feel nostalgic about it, but most probably wouldn't enjoy playing this from start to finish. But who knows, maybe they added some meaningful quality of life improvements.

I'm usually exited about remasters if it's a game with a great story or timeless gameplay, but these don't tick any of those boxes.

Everyone voting anything other than free is a tool! NinOnline members are already paying Nintendo a fair amount of money for an okay service. What if Netflix would ask extra for movies past the year 2000!? Just have some damn self respect and don't throw your hard earned cash out the window.

@blockfight if you look up private sellers for base ps4s it can get pretty dirt cheap. Of course it's gonna cost more, but at least you own something with resell value unlike a cloud game where they can just decide to remove the servers.

Getting a 2nd hand ps4 and the games wouldn't be much more expensive than the cloud access assuming it'll go for around 60$.

@Supaguy Nintendo online really shines the most for me if they add niche Japanese games that never or barely made it to the west.
I do believe you're getting psplus and psnow confused. Psplus enables online play and offers several games for "free", while psnow gives you access to a library of games to download or stream. There they offer PS4, PS3 and to a very limited extent PS2 games.

Honestly I'm baffled with how little backlash Nintendo is getting for this bad idea. Nintendo online is already a very limited service, but I won't complain for the price. But asking extra for the same feature (playing retro games, why should the system matter) just seems to overcomplicate things for the consumer. I'm a big Nintendo fanboy, but unlike some here, I can call out crap when it is crap.
If PlayStation would suddenly say they'll add PS1,PS2&PSP games to psnow but you'd have to pay extra for your now subscription the community would rightfully say that it's a no go.

Best upgrade ever (and long overdue)! I guess they especially wrote "airpods" since some islaves wouldn't know what Bluetooth headphones are without the additional branding.

I guess star wars wants to make some fortnight money. But after Warframe and Genshin I will not automatically disregard f2p either.

Man, makes me really wonder about companies like limited run. Glad I skipped these. Jedi Knight was my absolute favourite star wars game, only surpassed by the recent fallen order.

Nintendo Vs game preservation

Haven't had a problem with this segment, but the mining facility has been a drag. Many obstacles just feel like doing chores. Other than that I'm having fun with this game.

@HeadPirate thank goodness one person who knows the Witcher instead of just throwing out random opinions. Though there's still a long way to cover between s1 of the TV show and the Witcher 3 game. Just hope they still cram season of storms in somehow.

Rise and stories 2 have better character models, but it does look like an enjoyable ride.

This thing looks really promising and for what it is it's a bargain compared to the oled switch.

I wouldn't raise the pitchfork against sega about this. Just because some claims ownership of a digital asset doesn't necessarily mean that inaccessible to everyone else. But yeah, in it's current use nft's serve little purpose, but it'll have its merits for contracts, the music industry and other things in the future.

@Splodge Absolutely loved Ryuhei Kitamura's take on the action scenes in the twin snakes. Alive is a movie I always love rewatching from time to time.
I feel the same way about the Yakuza franchise and absolutely understand the need for such remakes. I would have never gotten into the Yakuza franchise weren't it for kiwami 1. It's a tough feet to ask gamers new to a series to try an aged original in the hopes to have them see what's so special about it. Usually late comers don't understand what the fuss is about. Unlike oftentimes unnecessary movie remakes, games actually are necessary to revitalise a series.

I'd prefer Kotor to skip the switch and get a proper remake on the new consoles combining both Kotor 1 and 2.

Oh wow, so far nobody complained about having this news on a gaming site. Man, the wait for season 2 has been so long already. Really hope it turns out well.

Have the 1st version of the 8bitdo controller. switching between the switch and android is a true pain. It also cannot power up the switch, so I ultimately got a original pro controller and use the 8bitdo only for android and win.

Personally I do find it a bad habit not to finish a story focused single player game. There were stats a few years ago showing how many people never finished uncharted's campaign and back then many publishers interpreted that as a lack of interest in SP games. If you don't complete Doom or hallow knight... who cares, but follow through with a great story driven game.

@WoomyNNYes haha, same here with Luigi's mansion 3. Though with me it's more that I played this in coop with my kids and then there interest waned once they discovered other coop switch games. I'm sure we'll get back to it someday.
