Re: Splatoon Update to 2.7.0 Will Bring Us The First Volume of Sheldon's Picks Next Week

These weapons all look cool, but I'm unsure how to unlocking of it will work. The only way I can think of is that they will use the spaces after level 20, as the Forge Splattershot Pro comes available at that level. Unless, of course, we get the Berry version at a lower level than the Forge one, but I personally find that unlikely.
We can also see a Bamboozler and a Slosher on the front. I personally hope that the Slosher has suction bomb and inkzooka, and the Bamboozler with Seekers and Bubbler, although I'm not sure that that is really going to happen. I also want a new Jet Squelcher with Squid Beakons and Bubbler, and 52 Gal with splat bomb and echolocator. I can dream, can't I

Re: Rumour: Data Miners Find Evidence That Suggests New Splatoon amiibo Are Coming

@NintyMan Looking at the past amiibos, they give single player missions with alternative weapons/play mechanics. So, at a guess, amiibos yielding a Blaster, (or more likely) a slosher, or heavy splatling. Though, I'm unsure we will see more amiibo. Splatoon has been out for a while, and I don't think that any more amiibo would 'fit' if you get what I mean. Also, the Octoling files were updated, but I don't think we going to be able to play as those. Nonetheless, it would be cool to have more amiibos

Re: Talking Point: Splatoon Began With an Early Access Approach, and Has Provided a Valuable Lesson

My favourite stage is still Arowana Mall. In no particular order, its followed by Walleye Warehouse, Mahi Mahi Resort, Ancho-V Games, Bluefin Depot, Saltspray Rig, Blackbelly Skatepark, Flounder Heights, Camp Triggerfish and Urchin Underpass. I do also like Port Mackeral, Piranha Pit, and Kelp Dome. I'm not too keen on Moray Towers, Hammerhead Bridge and Museum D'Alfonsino, but I don't hate them either. What are your favourite stages?

Re: The Custom Hydra Splatling, Splatoon's Last Update Weapon, Goes Live on 15th January

@CHET_SWINGLINE just use whatever suits you. I started off with the Aerospray MG, before moving on to the .52 Gal Deco, Splattershot Pro, and now, Mini Splatling. There are quite a few helpful stuff on youtube regarding weapons and tactics, but don't take any if it as gospel. Try to think about a weapon's strengths and weaknesses, and the subs that it has/abilities you can equip to counteract it. But - biggest tip I can give - you have sub weapons for a reason. USE THEM!! Just because its an ink mine or sprinkler or squid beacon - especially squid beacon - doesn't mean you don't have to press R! Unless you're against me, in which case...

Re: Extended Nintendo Network Maintenance on the Way

@andrew20 no, bring Gamecbe to wii u virtual console. Luigis Mansion, SUper Mario Sunshine, Twilight Princess (although they've got the HD one) Metroid Prime (although Trilogy is on there already), and Pikmin. Any other ideas of GC games?

Re: Get Ready to Add the Octobrush Nouveau to Your Splatoon Arsenal

This is probably the best paintbrush loadout. The inkbrush is fast, but not enough range for me. The octobrush is my paintbrush of choice, but squid beakons are useless in a fight (ever see "splatted by Squid Beakon"?) and it already has short range capabilities which makes the kraken a bit out of place. At least the splat bomb and inkzooka loadout extends its maximum range! Though personally, I'm a splattershot pro/.52 gal/ mini splatling fan!

Re: Check Out This Unused Stage Found in the Splatoon Art Book

@ULTRA-64 The idea of a deathmatch would be interesting, and I would like it, but the question is, how to implement it? Firstly, it would have to be between teams, because of the inking. Also, how would you stop campers? Splatoon's stages and modes are designed to force players into the centre, but with a deathmatch, many players may just stay in their spawn. It'd be interesting to see if, and how, Nintendo implement this

Re: Feature: Our Top 10 Wii U Retail Games - Third Anniversary Edition

stinky_t

As everyone else has posted their top 10...

1. Splatoon
2. Smash Bros.
3. Super Mario Maker
4.Nintendoland
5.Mariokart 8
6.Super Mario 3D World
7. New Super Mario Bros. U

I can't think of anything else worthy after these 7 that I've played, but Metroid Prime Trilogy would be up there if it had eShop titles, as well as Mario 64 and Mario World

Re: Super Mario Maker Gets Mid-Level Checkpoints and More in Upcoming Update

"Players can choose to edit and re-upload their own levels, or create new levels from scratch using this feature."

Does this mean that we can edit our existing levels online? Or do we have to delete and re-upload them? Also, a burning question - if you delete a level, does it still count towards your level count, or can you upload something in its place? Thanks.

Super Mario!!! Woooooohooooooooooooooo!

Seriously, this game looks soo good. Im downloading it on day 1, but still jealous of America, who get to pre-download it, but that's a whole different debate. The only feature that I want that isn't here already is to be able to send levels to Friends before posting them on Miiverse for the whole world, but it doesn't matter if it isn't here - Super Mario Maker for the win!
