Not gonna lie, I enjoyed this adventure and battering him every time.
Still haven't finished the main quest, I'm procrastinating, only got Gannon to go for though!
Incredible game, I think it's the sadness of getting to the end holding me back.

I think they have a wholly unrealistic and idealistic vision of how the game is played, especially with raids. I'll walk and play the game when I can, but high-level raiding isn't feasible as there simply aren't that many people in my area gathering/playing. It's a shame because it isn't something that is broken so why try and fix it?! Typical Niantic.

How about the Arceus update where it plays like a decent Pokémon game?

The Sonic 3 barrel....that one had me for days until I figured it out.
There was a one on Link's Awakening on GB that had me, a wall needed bombing on a dungeon but I could never see it, weeks lost searching the map. Got the screen in the right light to make out a bomb-able wall and then I was away.
Jigglypuff in a Master Ball though! Love that

@Sisilly_G I too am disappointed that some of the gameplay mechanics and UI didn't make it into S/V. I thought they really had a few things nailed in Arceus and typically they've gone backwards.
I enjoyed Arceus, especially completing the Pokédex and all the research tasks. It made it much more challenging and engaging.

Having played it for a few hours it bewilders me at how badly a performing game this is. The UI is also frustrating in that I felt they made leaps and bounds with Arceus in how you caught Pokémon etc and then threw that all away?! I'll still play it to death but it'll annoy me. It amazes me that a game as poorly performing as this is released.

I could play my switch on the London Underground - surely you can't get more subterranean than that?!

Ah my brother and I used to use one copy as a sacrificial one, start the game to get each starter and then use the clone glitch to have a starter eachbto get the Pokédex 100%

@sleepinglion Ahhh I had a Sony Xperia Play which was fantastic for emulation because of the retractable gamepad. Literally was a Pokémon machine

Combination of Angel Island Act 1 from Sonic 3 and World 1-1 from Super Mario World. Pallet down has been wandered through a few times as well!

I only played these on Sony systems, but THPS2 was just amazing, the first game was incredible but number 2 took it to another level. The reverts in THPS3 made for some disgusting combos but the level design just wasn't there, graphically it was a huge step up from 2 on the PS2.

Got my pre-order on for the combo game!

@Snatcher I never played S&K standalone because it didn't have the battery backup, but connecting it to S3 gave me a beast of a Sonic game and a save file! Both were great and had good storylines, I feel they have to work in tandem to get the best out of them

I think it shows how poorly Sega have managed sonic that the top 3 games are originals from the 90s ( I loved Sonic 3 on my MD and getting S&K was just the best!) then Sonic Mania turns up to give every Sonic fan something they've been missing for more than 20 years.
Sonic Adventure was great at the time on the DC but has aged appallingly.

Sonic 3 was amazing, I had with the Mega Drive II, and loved it! The battery backup for saving meant I played it constantly, could do a zone before school and come back later to it. S&K locked on made a beast of a game and the music rocked! Loved sonic 2 as well, just never owned it.

I'm eying up Sonic CD on my Xbox Series S as I've always wanted a mega CD just never got one!

Nintendo Switch Plus XL

I just purchased a Series S on All Access and I'm impressed BUT my Switch isn't suffering. Still take it to work with me every day for lunch break entertainment and it's amazing for when someone is hogging the TV. Saying that, playing Forza and DOOM on next gen is incredible and both consoles look amazing under the TV.

It was OK, i think the reviews have been fair. If a sequel gets green lit then they need to ramp it up as the story just left you wanting more from it.

Kano is hilarious though, very well written and the Scorp vs Sub Zero backstory was decent with some good fight sequences.

@Neopolitan I agree, when I saw the trailer I thought that it could be fun, especially with the Nights-esque styling and it's been universally panned. Shame.

Loved this game, would have been cool to have the old characters drawn in the new style like Mac was as a boss.

Still working my way through this on the hardest setting, great fun to keep getting your head kicked in by the rapid punching karate guys.

I can't wait for this, THPS2 was my life and in my opinion the best in the series, killer soundtrack, remember ripping it to my mini disc player to listen to at school! I was holding out for Skater XL but seeing as that won't release on switch for the next 10 years this will trump it I fear. The fact Tony Hawk is in his 50s now is crazy, might get my board out today...

I was going to opt for skater XL but seeing as this will probably best that to release then I'll probably opt for this! THPS2 for me was the best in the series, can't wait!

@Don agreed, SMB3 is great, really challenging but I e only ever played re-releases as I never had a NES. Super Mario World is the best for me though, loved the art style, gameplay, the map and the save functionality. The New games were OK but I always felt they lost that mario-ness if that makes sense?

@roy130390 I agree. I got Shield and it annoyed me (I'm 35 but wtf I've played Pokémon since Red, Blue, Yellow days!) but I still felt compelled to play it through to scratch my Pokémon itch. Same with Let's Go Pikachu too, the mechanics were irritating but I still had fun.

The point is as much as we complain or are dissatisfied we'll still buy these games in their millions! Let's see if Game Freak come up with something and I'll still end up buying it for my "kids"!

@Knuckles I will say I never remembered it being as "old" as it plays. I envy my brother as he has a Dreamcast so he gets the proper experience with VMU

@Zeldafan79 I do know what you mean, I started playing SA over lockdown on PC and it has aged terribly! BUT it was fun at the time to play as sonic in a 3D space. Chao addiction with the VMU was insane!

Would love to see a Zelda classic games series, I've been enjoying Mario 64 since getting these 3 this weekend.

I had my left joy con drifting and Nintendo UK repaired it FOC. It's pretty bad that it's coming to this based on the fact so many joy cons have this problem.

I enjoyed IV on the DS, VIII got stupid when you couldn't revisit the towns towards the end which was annoying, IX was great BUT the final bosses made no sense to me unless I missed something who were they?!?! For me always VII, was a bit crazy but so much fun, materia was awesome and KOTR was just the best, especially when you used it to Muller the Emerald Weapon. Great poll!

@Y2JayRome I read some reviews and gave it a go. I'm actually enjoying it from the perspective you can just wander about and expand on the Pokédex. The quests are overly simplistic thus far and your new "rival" in Avery is just as annoying as Hop. Keeps scratching my Pokémon itch though until New Snap launches...

@Y2JayRome I'd agree with you. The Wild Area for me was an "almost" - imagine if they had just made the game so much more open world and binned off the routes. Maybe next time.

That said it was fun to go back into the world of pokemon but way too easy with virtually no challenge. Dynamxing was fun, mega evolution was way better.

I'm on the fence about the expansion, will see what the consensus is on release.

@Fazermint absolutely! Was unbelievably easy and simple to play through, and that insipid rival with his flapping arms drove me crazy.

I completed the False Pokédex but all in all it was pretty lackluster

Alien Isolation and GRID are definitely up there for me, the latter with the HD texture pack looks fantastic. Alien speaks for itself, just need to finish it off!

Never heard of this game before but some videos make it look awesome! Especially as Sonic 3 is never going to see the light of day (god bless other avenues of playing older games cough cough) then this would be welcome!

Whilst I enjoyed Pokémon Shield for a new Pokémon fix it wasn't exactly mind blowing was it? The character design was pretty pants, the difficulty was unbelievably easy and the story linear as always from a Pokémon game.

RPG of the year? Hardly...

After this review I think I may just get an older version for my DS, would rather pay eBay prices than this for a 6.

Art style is amazing though.

Floyd all the way, I was a huge fan of Max from #2.

This has been looking so good for way too long, need a release date!!
