@vice350z Right on, Ralphie. Yeah, there was a vid recently of a dude abandoning his plane in mid-air as mounted cameras on the vehicle chronicled its journey down. It was later learned he was a vlogger that didn't experience the engine trouble he claimed to have had before leaping. Like the days of America's Funniest Home Videos, I gotta ask if it was staged
Mario and Luigi have simple character models to replicate. Animated features have the ability to duplicate them. Why don't they? Didn't dig the Hotel T look, not digging this latest rumor
Cool idea. I picked up the Analogue Pocket + Dock, but there clearly needs to be a more accessible and reasonably priced alternative for legacy hardware
Thanks for the look back. As a kid, I remember loving the SNES original and the N64 entry, which I still play to death. I dug the music in the original StarFox and would love to see some of those themes make a return. Really, at this point, if they just took the Starfox 64 3DS title as a template and created a new batch of stages every few years, I'd pick it up. Use bombs wisely!
@samuelvictor The maddening bit is people wrote Sega. It's not a little-known problem. But they never bothered to fix it. The Sega Ages release of Sonic 1, though was great. Felt like the real deal
What's incredibly embarrassing is that this hasn't already been released by Nintendo. Their Switch could run NES, SNES, Gameboy, GBA, N64, Gamecube, Wii, and that's just their in-house consoles. To give the Switch Online service some legit value, these should already be a thing. There should be an overabundance of titles and consoles to enjoy. If we look at the online streaming classics angle as a streaming service, it's beyond poor. Netflix, Hulu, etc., none of these companies asked for a subscription from customers by dropping 40 things to watch and then trickling out a few every month or so. It's laughable that this is Nintendo's answer to fighting ROMs
I'll wait for a review from another website. When the Genesis Collection hit Switch, you failed to mention its horrible input lag. Makes a fast-paced Sonic title impossible to play
If Nintendo wants to treat their back catalog as a streaming service, they're going to have to make larger drops. Imagine if Netflix or Hulu started today and said, "Yep, we have 40 things you can watch. Next week, we'll add two more."
It's a blast. For me, the biggest and best Lego title yet. It's a shame the DLC character packs don't also come with a unique level, even if it were brief
Thank you for sharing this. I remastered a different Nintendo hero last night. Are you familiar with Mega Man / Rockman (OVA) Upon a Star? I used AI video enhancement software on the DVD release for 1080p, 60fps video. The only bummer: it's mildly educational.
I dug Lego Star Wars, it's the first Lego title I've paid full price for since the original Lego Star Wars titles. Lotsa content by folks who clearly love the source material
A Link to the Past is my favorite in the series. Growing up when it was new, this adventure was a quantum leap past what we'd seen in Zeldas 1 and 2. Its sprite art is still charming today
What makes this Boba Fett any different than the one already in the game? Will they age him 30 years and give him a belly? Wait, I've got it... Mandalorian Boba can't keep his helmet on
@ImmortanJho Trek used to be aspirational and suggest that we can get through this to a better future. But yeah... I hear ya, bud. Things aren't looking so good right now. To me, it makes optimism all the more important, and not much of our entertainment reflects that. I could be mistaken, but the last time entertainment in general seemed this doom and gloom was when we were coming out of the Vietnam era. Star Wars came along and upended everything in film. Maybe we need something like that today to come along and remind us that morality isn't a lost cause
@NintendoWife You nailed it. Every character is struggling with some past trauma. There are no grand ideas. In this version, you can clone Data from a single positron. We saw Picard's father in an old TNG episode. If you Google 'Picard's dad', it's the first hit. The writers of Picard didn't even bother to do that. I dug the actor they used in this week's ep... but Picard's dad never wore a DS9 uniform with a Voyager badge because all of that came decades later for him. It's just dumb sci-fi that doesn't even respect the source material
This is beautiful and celebrates a time when Trek rocked. The newer shows are dystopian, edgy, depressing, dumbed down messes. It's no use reuniting the TNG cast next season if it's still coming from Picard's writing staff. But these lovingly created tributes to 90s-era Trek are truly inspired. Very cool share
@Threebcisum Not sure I buy that. Some things like Michael Bay's horrific Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles design are just bad choices made by tone deaf creatives
Most Hollywood press still hates the original for listening to fans on Sonic's design. Imagine that, taking what the paying audience wants into account. Glad to hear the sequel is doing well!
@ParadoxFawkes Agreed. I picked it up legit for my Switch, but have more fun playing it on PC (I use those same two mods). I like to beat a title fair and square, then use assistive options on subsequent plays
We're not supposed to speak of it, but the only solid way I've seen Switch titles upscaled it via emulation. They look incredible, especially with graphic packs. But if you're just blowing up a 1080p image, I don't see the bump being worth $100
@johnvboy Yeah, Lucas is definitely a "write the plot and let someone else do the dialogue" guy. I've learned to appreciate the prequels and hope to feel the same with the Disney films in time. I don't see myself forgiving how the legacy characters were treated. Han walked into a lightsaber and Luke gave up on life. Just once I'd like to see a continuation where the legacy characters got to go off and have good lives. Have you checked out the new game? I'm having a blast with it
@johnvboy I enjoyed Sith and Awakens was a promising start. It was clear after Last Jedi they had no grand plan, not even a few Post-Its outlining where the story was headed. Because Rise of Skywalker as a film was a series of fetch quests, it should work as a game

Making my way through 'Elden Ring', or as I have affectionally nicknamed it from the screen I see the most, making way through 'You Died'
