@SLIGEACH_EIRE with bestbuy or amazon prime, its $48, instead of 60.
The new modes, new items etc are a bit expensive at $48, but, DEAR LORDI it looks amazing. I loved 8 to death, but an army of managers and coworkers just played it at lunch, 2 people per console. It looks far, far better than it did on the wii u tablet, and better overall. with trade or sell of the wii u version, the upgrade is as little as $16. worth it, honestly.
I don't care what games are on it, or at least, I'm not waiting to find out. The second they're up for sale, I'm grabbing 2-3 for myself and two friends, because Nintendo is certainly never going to re-stock.
@olrodlegacy i see a lot regarding the UK launch from their facebook page, but it gets like, 7 likes and 1 share. I have very few facebook friends but if i take a photo of my milkshake i get at least twice that number of each.
@JudgeMethos What an idiotic opinion. "People with better time management skills have more free time to play games than I do?! They need to rethink their lives!"
Maybe their kids play. Maybe one kid plays, then the other kid plays, then the adult plays while waiting in line at Disneyland.
Who cares. Just because your a whiney bitter old crap pile doesn't mean the rest of us can't have fun. My entire family plays on our Switch- that 3 hour battery gets fully drained 3-4 times a day.
@remlapgamer Borderlands Legends, XCOM, 2k sports, Civ Revolution, and about 100 other mobile games all came out on iOS first. Its how mobile gaming has been working for the last decade.
@Yorumi By all free, you of course mean they take 30% of all sales for life, right? It totaled 3,562,000,000 last year alone. But yeah, "WHY CAN'T EVERYTHING BE FREE FO LYFE" indeed. We'll see if the Switch runs any better with a more expensive system. You know, the wallet-shattering $20 for all of 2017. My lordi, watching you whimper and beg and cry over a couple pennies is getting sad. Do you have like a paypal where I can donate a few bucks? Even if you were a cashier at walmart, you made enough money during your pouting to pay off 2-3 years of the Switch online network today alone :-
In summary, Wii U online sucks. Switch online might not suck. It'll cost $2 a month. Oh noes.
@Yorumi You're slooooowly getting there. Matchmaking and updates are still on their server- the actual battle is p2p. I don't matchmake by pinging 10,000,000 Wii Us, but by connecting to the central Splatoon server. It being one of ....3...online games anyone plays on the wii u, it just barely works out to be free. The Switch will have more games hopefully, and needs a more robust online system.
For the earth-shattering, debt-creating fee of....20 cents a week.
For a game I'm not paying more than $30 for. That I'll likely own for 5 years.
But yeah man, that couple bucks you're whining about sure will kill ya. Enjoy playing Smash Bros FREE p2p server that plays slower than a gameboy color!
@speedracer216 because they then pay $20 for a skin. In a single month the average LoL player blows more money on skins and random cosmetic crap then I've spent on PSN and XBL subscriptions in a decade...
@Yorumi ....that's not what a server is, and that's not what a router is or how it works :- Valve takes a 30% cut of the sale price of every game, in part to pay for its online servers and distribution. Sony and Microsoft take about 4%, so they charge half a buck a week for online. My year's subscription to Nintendo's online service is costing about 20 cents a week. Somehow, I will manage to survive.
@Drac_Mazoku the 3DS is 5 years old. That's longer than the original Xbox, as long as the gamecube, and as long as the n64 before they were replaced. I doubt it has much time left. The original 3DS can't even properly emulate GBA or SNES games, that's how old it is ...
@Sargon you could just check this page at the same time every thursday. Nintendo sends out a similar email with half as much info a day or two later sometimes
@ogo79 a friend who never had dogs remembers playing blaster master years ago, and thought it was ridiculous and dumb that the character risks his life and fights aliens to rescue his pet frog. Then he met me, who he said "would likely tackle a bear if it ever threatened either of your dogs".
@Meowpheel it took out one entire gender- you can't play as a girl, thus removing half the marriage candidates and dating storylines. Considering the fanbase for the series is like 80% female, that was just bizarre. There were a lot of control issues as i recall, but one of the biggest was, they didn't change the dialog or prompts from the GC version- so while the Wiimote was used to wave the fishing rod into place, the game told you to press X or whatever- a button the wii doesn't have. I don't think there was even a gamecube control option, but i could be wrong.
@gcunit magical melody for Wii is by far the worst of the series. Its basically magical melody for the Gamecube, which was already mediocre, with really bad controls and most of the options taken out. Start with $8 Mineral Town if you're going to start somewhere. ITs still my favorite. The N64 one and Back to Nature are each only a few bucks and well worth it as well
@Einherjar a few years ago, a friend was trying to convince me to get a Vita. I pointed out that Sony's proprietary memory card for the Vita cost more than my entire brand new 2DS with memory card included.
@manu0 gamestop has some good trade-in deals. Sold things i haven't touched in years for like $50 more than i would normally get for it, even if i sold directly on ebay
@Einherjar also, 32GB cards are hella cheap. MicroCenter in the US has been given them away for free. Sure, formatted its likely 30GB or so, so you wanna go a size up- but from the look of those other games listed, i can download the entire Switch lineup on an SD card so cheap, companies give them away for free
@JaxonH its their first in-house mobile game, not like Mario Run or Pokemon Go which were made entirely by other people, or miitomo which is a survey and clothing app. This is the first actual mobile game they made, if that isn't newsworthy then neither is the Switch
@JaxonH A Nintendo website that never mentions how the company is doing, whether or not its expanding, or the price of things... oh my. It'd be just a photo of mario saying "This game is cool i guess".
@JaxonH when you're older than....12....and realize you can buy stock for $20 and sell it for $25 and use that to pay your bills, secure your mortgage and set up retirement savings, you're gonna be so happy...
@UmbreonsPapa just try the demo of any fire emblem. Playing the mobile fire emblem to get an idea is like playing Super mario run or miitomo to understand what Super Mario Galaxy is like
@ProfessorToad man, you've been arguing about how expensive $10 is for nearly 7 hours. If you made even the lower end of the average American salary, you made enough money in that time to buy the game 19 times over. Instead you spent it whining about it :-/
@rushiosan its very clearly a digital image, not a physical image. And its for super mario run, a digital only game. Which this article is about. Sooo not at all clickbait, unless you ignored the image, the title, the caption, and just drunkenly saw the words "rewards" and decided DOES THAT MEAN I GET A FREE CAR AND A LIFE SIZE STATUE OF MARIO THAT TALKS?!
@TwilightOniAngel weird that they'd be a member of a Nintendo website, then. I guess they love all of Nintendo's bloody and gory gardening equipment? Since... cute toys is literally the only thing Nintendo makes.
@shonenjump86 i got each of my AC amiibos at bestbuy and amazon for $3 each. Used free coupon offers and "$5 off your next order!" deals to get them all for free.
@link3710 it has for all of my purchases. But, i believe the save has to be from playing it in wii u mode, not a save you transferred from a classic wii- but im not certain on that
@Classic603 i discovered it only on virtual console as an adult, but I played it to death with my friend I'd known since I was 7. I realized when I gave someone my old Wii u, (and later bought a new one) i no longer had my Zombies game. At least i don't think so...

Re: Nintendo Outlines Pricing and Details for DLC in Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia
@Whopper744 or just go to bestbuy where the game is $31, the amiibos are $16, and getting the season pass cheap isn't gonna be too hard

Re: You Can Now Download The Splatoon 2 Global Testfire On Your Switch, But There's A Catch
@Yorumi Nintendo gets about 1-4% for third party titles. Steam gets 30%. You sure understand literally nothing.
No wonder you're in screaming tears over a few pennies a week :-

@Yorumi 121,000,000 people pay for PSN and Xbox live.
Literally thousands of people are barely enjoying the slow, laggy online Wii U servers.
I think its safe to say Nintendo got the message.

@ga3tr0n I've seen the NES minis going for 220. I bought my switch for 261 i think?

@NintySnesMan the games probably like, ten bucks. The average american male with 4 years college makes $23 an hour.

@SeriousSam HA. Man if you were serious about that I'd feel so bad for you
