Re: Nintendo Removing Credit Card Support From 3DS And Wii U eShop In Europe

russellohh

amazon currently gives you a $1 digital gift card every time you pick 5 day super save shipping. It's good on kindle books, movie rentals, and mp3 downloads.
In 2017-2018, the $1 free credits were good for eshop and psn cards as well.

I think they stopped offering the promotion when people like me ordered 400 ten-cent items, got the $1 refund, and immediately bought 8 $50 eshop cards.

Oops

@Heavyarms55 ah, i see you've never driven before, and don't know what a highway is.
The side of a highway is for emergencies only. Pulling onto one in heavy traffic would block ambulances and fire trucks from using the shoulder to get where they are going.

This is explained to you on your very first day of driving school.

Re: Rumour: Did Reggie Just Give Us Our First Glimpse At A New Retro Studios Project?

@MrBlacky ah you don't know what character it is either.
In a world where people can tell mario's mustache from a mile away and recognize the shadow of any one of 400 pokemon

you have no idea what mysterious character this is shown alongside 3 of Nintendo's biggest franchises.

How interesting! Someone should write an article wondering what this mysterious character is, this mysterious character that you just asked me about.

Re: Nintendo Reveals Average Salary, Age And More Of Its Employees In Japan

russellohh

@SuperGhirahim64 for years i heard of the salary man working til after the sun went down, and played games like earthbound where the dad was just a phone, because he was always at work and called to check up on the kids.

read an article a few years ago saying thats half-true: certainly true for some workplaces, but for the most part, managers show up at 1030 or 11am, employees show up at 1029 and everyone then makes a big deal about staying til 6 when the sun goes down. no one actually worked even 7 hours, but they stayed LATE like good salary men.

when i went to japan a couple years ago, i stayed with friends that work in the gaming industry there.
they rolled out of bed around 10, went to work, and got back at 7.

Re: Get Discounts On Mario Party Games, Physical Kirby Goodies And More In North America

russellohh

@AlternateButtons yeah but how long does it take for these 30% oiff coupons? I'm not CERTAIN, but i have a good 300 nintendo games and i feel like the 30-40% off games are always at least 2 years old, and many are 5-10 years old. thats why i can rarely use them- theyre really only good for rebuying the $20 player select download of a $60 game i traded in or sold many years ago.

with gold points i get them on new games and spend them on new games. the super awesome giant $15 off rewards are so old theyre worthless to me.

Re: Get Discounts On Mario Party Games, Physical Kirby Goodies And More In North America

russellohh

@AlternateButtons ehhh. i kinda wish gold coins were worth more, but ive gotten $10 off a switch game with my gold coins, vs $15 off offers on a 10 year old wii title i bought at launch.

i kinda wish the gold points were worth twice as much but

i spend my . gold points the week i get them, i have hundreds and often thousands of the platinum points. and i doubt theyre gonna wanna give $20 off breath of the wild . in exchange for points i got answering a survey or two

Re: Yoshi’s Crafted World Is Getting A Physical Release In Japan With Just A Download Code Inside

russellohh

@Hikingguy I'm glad you buy several copies of the same game. I have 100 copies of Breath of the Wild I'd be willing to sell ya!

The "free cd with digital content" is a massive waste of time and space. I do it because the physical media will be $9 with MP3, while the Mp3s alone are $15 for lordi knows that reason. Since CDs came out in 1985 and you can hardly even find a cd player anywhere, it's a plastic frisbee someone had to drive to my house. Typically i just sell the CD on ebay for $10 and wind up paying $0 for my album. But its a waste of time, plastic, and effort. Cars don't come with CD players anymore, 3 of my 4 computers don't have CD drives, and the nearest portable CD player is 4 bestbuys away.

Buying a CD or an 8 track makes as much sense as getting my favorite switch games on cartridge.

Re: Yoshi’s Crafted World Is Getting A Physical Release In Japan With Just A Download Code Inside

russellohh

I prefer digital since its 100x better than physical, so the digital+box has worked really well for me. Amazon and BestBuy have and have had discounts for physical releases, not on digital. The boxes with download codes count.
I bought mass effect andromeda for 48 with physical discount, and a$10 reward zone card came with it. The download was 60.
I then sold my empty box on ebay as "empty box, for collectors" and several people bid $20 on it, since they likely did the download but still want a box on their shelf.

So people who paid digitally paid $80 total, while i went
"physical box with download code" and after reward zone card and my ebay funds, wound up paying $18 for a $60 title on launch day.

Re: The Switch Is Getting Its Very Own Santa Tracker For Christmas

russellohh

@Andyjm a season pass for a santa tracker! Track the 4th of july man on the 4th of july! Only makes sense in america.

Better yet, make it so microtransaction model, so kids will need to beg for their parents credit card to pay 10 cents for Santa to wear clothes and 20 cents for him to be jolly!

...or pay the $2 and be done with it none of this "its disgraceful charging money for products!" nonsense.
