Re: There's a New Yu-Gi-Oh! Game on the Way to 3DS this Summer

I hope it has multiplayer. I've been turned off from Yu-Gi-Oh online because you have to buy the cards, and that's what I love about the Yu-Gi-Oh games, you get all the cards. My two requirements for this game would be multiplayer and every single card, otherwise I won't pick it up. I didn't pick up the first 3DS title till it was on sale either, and then when I finally got it I was glad I didn't pay full price for it.

Re: Nintendo Download: 31st December (North America)

A lot of people have nothing better to do than to complain in the comments section of a small Nintendo news site, lol.

Just go on steam or psn or Xbox live or torrents or whatever. Don't know why you people keep expecting anything different, or keep thinking anyone will actually read your complaints.

Re: Feature: The Poor Career Choice of Super Smash Bros. Professionals

It's not gonna have institutional support if people insist on continuing to play Melee competitively. Nintendo even made gamecube controller adapters to pander to these holdouts, and they still say Melee is the best of the series. Move on guys, as long as Nintendo continues to make nothing on Melee, they won't support Smash Bros tournaments.

Re: Video: Check Out This Footage of Harvest Moon: Seeds of Memories

Harvest Moon has obviously declined since the change of ownership. If you're seeing declining sales numbers, it isn't because there's no fans on 3DS and WiiU. It's because Harvest Moon just isn't that good anymore. Now that they're diluting it across multiple platforms, and it looks like it will basically be a mobile game ported to consoles, I think the end is near for Harvest Moon. Such a shame too.

Re: Feature: Five Star Wars Games, on Nintendo, That Are Strong in the Force

Agree with all of these. Rogue Squadron was a fantastic game on N64. Not only did it look good, it was fun to play. Racer was also a lot of fun. I have to second the arcade recommendation, the pod racer controls were so good. It makes me wish it had a Wii/WiiU remake where you could use the wii mote and nunchuks as pod racer controls.

The Force Unleashed were also very good Star Wars games. I would prefer playing them on PC where you can get great graphics, but still fun to play on Wii.

Re: Nintendo Remains Bullish Around the 3DS and Its Future Prospects

@FreakFerrett Well, friend, that's simply because you didn't really think your comment through much before you posted it. I think it's beyond obvious that if they release a new iteration in a couple of years, and if this new iteration has an HD screen, it will have the processing power to handle 3D HD graphics.

Re: SteamWorld Heist Release Date and Pricing Confirmed

I am for sure picking this up. After how good Steamworld Dig was, definitely gonna give these guys another chance. Even if they say it's from a different genre, they've already shown they can make a good game.

I will also say I only got into their game through buying the Nintendo Humble Bundle. Nintendo should do more of that.

Re: Review: Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon (3DS)

On the plus side, it did guess the starting pokemon I wanted from the personality test perfectly. It's eerily uncanny.

The graphics are also great. I loved the environment and all the pokemon models.

I just wish the start wasn't so SLOW. It leaves a bad taste in your mouth afterwards. Also, what started into a minor annoyance quickly turned irritating: I never want to push a pokemon to the side, and that they made this a default and have you push a button to do the previous behavior of swapping places with your partner pokemon feels like such a huge oversight on the part of game testers.

Overall though, it's still your standard pokemon mystery dungeon game, with the plus side of being able to recruit every single pokemon. It has its problems but I think it's still fun to play.

Re: Editorial: It's Not Fun to Criticise Nintendo Games, But It's Been Unavoidable in 2015

rsanchez1

The WiiU has been admittedly lacking in many good new games. Splatoon is a great exception. I've had a lot of fun playing Kirby. Super Mario Maker is very fun. Beyond that and an XCX preorder, I haven't really bought into games released in 2015.

The 3DS, on the other hand, has been a treasure trove of games. It's a great time if you are into RPGs. The 3DS has been the opposite of disappointing.
