The second one is the direct follow up, story-wise. You'll have spoilers for the first game if you play them out of order.

But yeah, the first one is older, and you should play the GAME you want to play, it's not a movie series.
If you feel like you could enjoy both, play them in order (the first one is pretty short too).
But if you're not sure, or if you like what you saw in dig 2 and think you may get annoyed with the franchise if you feel like you have to play in some manner, then play the 2nd one first.

It's possible that Gamestop is creating this tweet because of us thinking there is one, and not because one is really coming in the next few days, though.

This is a super cute project, and I'm curious to see if I can recognise some landmarks from Kanto.

Personally I'd prefer to pay for my own vacation instead of creating an ad for it, planning a budget, doing interviews, be accountable if you don't deliver because you've put your face on the project. That seems like a lot of work for... You know. Vacation.
And it's not because it's a job that they can't have fun doing it.
It's like saying patron is free drawing time vacation for artists. lol.

@ACK They're ports. If you thought Capcom would make a neat new box that truly contains both games, I've got some bad news to tell you on the Resident Evil Revelations Collection.

They're giving a job to Inafune, and he will direct a MegaMan reboot.
Because of the reboot, all editions of old MegaMan games will self destruct.

(No but seriously, I'd be happy to see the legacy collections on Switch)

I've bought the 3DS one a few weeks back, second hand.
It's on my backlog while I wait for a New 2DS or a used circle pad pro.

Inti Creates are the polar opposite of greedy, the game was already awesome and selling well without all this.

@thesilverbrick With both 3DS and Switch, it's difficult to feel excited about portable gaming.
I guess we're not the target.

THE multiplayer game. And with 2 players in handheld, this means hours of fun.

In Swizerland supermarkets break street date and indie shops are therefore FORCED to do the same just to compete with hardcore fans who want the games ASAP.

This is super sad if the indie shops end up having repercussions though.

More time for them to make the perfect game.
More time for us to finish all those 2017 games before buying new ones.
Honesty with consumers is always good, anyway.

There's Okami HD, which could be even better with those joycons.
We probably will have the MegaMan Collection... and the faster the better as it doesn't have competition with VC yet.
