Re: Nintendo Download: 4th April (Europe)

Hey all, does anyone also have problems finding Enter the Gungeon discounted?
I wonder if it's a date thing, but its discounted price is already live on EU PSN. If anyone has info on it...

@TheAwesomeBowser I literally haven't said that.
Dude, you either want to start flamewars about nothing and that's kinda sad, or you need to chill out.

I said that a company porting its games and IPs to new consoles has nothing to do with port beggars and everything to do with that particular company financial prospects.

If you truly think the suits at Atlus said "man, we wanted to make a new game but I've seen 12 people on twitter ask for a port... better do what they tell us... man that sucks... but what can I do... port beggars already killed my brothers when I didn't port Persona 3 on the N-Gage... damn..." well... you're a funny guy.

I can't believe I've just replied to someone who post "So basically you're saying" + complete nonsense no one said.
I need to check my priorities.

Re: Launch Weekend Sales Of Wargroove Have Already Covered Development Costs

@Kainbrightside Usually it's a question of funding, as the developer is financed by a publisher + possibly being on the stock market. The indie is just like that: independent. Either doing work for hire for multiple publishers (like Wayforward does with Adventure time and Marvel games) or publishing things themselves or with some help (Wayforward with Shantae or here Chucklefish).

So yeah, if they're not bought and do not become subsidaries of a publisher, they are indies.
But the difference between the two is getting harder to see, as some indies are also technically publishers! Like Chucklefish themselves who publish Stardew Valley. But Stardew is still an indie as the devs do not work for Chucklefish, this was only a partnership between two indies (from what I understand) to get the game out.

@erv It's beautiful, it's pretty hard but it gives back a lot.
Crawled back on the 2018 GOTY list on some sites after already being on those in 2017 just because of the 2018 Switch release.
'nuff said.

@Fuz Both are made by M2 so you can expect the same quality overall.

As of the features, you lose 3d of course.
But the everything else seems present:

switch between new and old game version
change difficulty
change time limit
switch between mph & km/h
multiple transmission modes
Display has a full mode, widescreen mode and an arcade mode that puts a (pixel perfect?) 4/3 screen inside the old arcade cabinet so you can feel like playing the actual game. This is pure M2 goodness. You can even choose between the different cabinet styles that were available over the years.

Good stuff.

I can't wait for M2's Space Harrier again.

Re: Starlink: Battle For Atlas Is Getting Lots Of New Content Tomorrow, And It's All Free

@SwitchForce Not the same from what?
If you create a magic difference between bargain bin / sale, don't blame me.
What I can tell you is that the Starlink battle standee is in the shop, and it's the only standee in the shop where several -50% stickers were put on. Doesn't scream "normal and healthy sale, expect normal prices to come back at the end of the sale".

Anyway, I only did a silly mean joke. Don't get too riled up on this my dude

@Anguspuss Yeah it's crazy. FNAC also has everything at half-price until december 31, but what seems even crazier is that mediamarkt sells the whole line for the same price as FNAC & Gamestop, yet doesn't advertise it as a sale.
50% off is their "normal price".
That makes me think the prices won't go up in the other retailers either.
