@Cathalm I can't remember if it was reported here but there was a good write up on gamesbeat in March 2022 with even some receipts on how Thomas Mahler and Gennadiy Korol are generally terrible people.
I really liked both of these games so I'm glad they're coming, but I'm mainly shocked they remembered that f zero climax exists. I remember it having alot of English already in it, but I wonder if they did anything more (probably not but I can dream).
More Ys is always a good thing. I need to try out that demo that's been on the Japanese eshop for ages to see how it runs, but I'm pretty sure it ran decent on the switch.
I remember seeing this game first at SGF last year and I'm stoked it's finally coming out. Also on switch the same time as steam so I'm happy about that.
I played this game a ton when I was younger and still have the cartridge, but I'll buy it again here. Took a little bit to get used to this type of mario over something like wonder.
As someone who has a relatively new iPad mini sitting around, no thanks. Like the game would easily make it's money back on switch (and hey, Microsoft would throw game pass money at it if given the chance), so I'm not sure why it won't come to other stuff eventually unless apple just has permanent exclusivity.
I'm just glad the reviews say it's not just another "new" mario bros game with a different coat of paint. This and spiderman will make Friday a fun day.
I think it was solid considering we're expecting new hardware next year. Like, I'm not sure if it would be good if this was a 2019 direct but for the end of 2023, it's enough to keep me playing my switch into next year.
I've played some and it's pretty good. The controller bindings for my Asus rog ally aren't great so I'm hoping PS5 has better controls.
Also, there are like 18 reviews compared to ToTKs 145, and more reviews tend to drop the overall score (like with ToTK and Elden Ring last year). Not sure how Baldur's gate 3 will fare in the long run.
Sounds good so far. I've seen some people complain about the controls, although being dropped into the game probably makes it hard to pick up everything at once as opposed to a gradual process of learning the controls.
I've been waiting for a new advance wars game since 2008 and, even though this is a remake, I don't think I can be more hyped for a game. Then, with jedi survivor and tears of the kingdom being just around the corner, 2023 is shaping up to be insane.
Once I got that monster hunter tri classic controller with the actual handles, it was my go to wii controller for games that supported button controls. It was much easier getting the staff ghosts for the mario Mii costume with that controller.
Like the splatoon 3 switch, I kinda wish they just sold the joycon separately. Also, I wonder if this means BOTW2 is getting a special edition oled, because my wallet is going to hate me if there is one.
I wasn't expecting much for something that was being billed as "bonus content" but capcom games built in is a pretty good pack in. Not that I needed another excuse to play megaman 2 and X again.
I played a fan translation of custom robo v1 and it was pretty good, but finding out where to go between battles without English is going to be a pain.

Re: Surprise! A New "Free-To-Start" Fire Emblem Game Is Out On Mobile Devices Today
The most random announcement timing ever? I'll still try it out I guess.
Re: SEGA Announces English Voiceover Cast For Yakuza 0: Director's Cut
@Pat_trick I agree 100%. I might just change to English for the majima parts but keep it in Japanese for the kiryu parts.
Re: Switch 2's Pre-Order Date Might Have Been Accidentally Leaked By Best Buy
I'm going to be out of the country, so lets see how the best buy app works on a boat I guess. Good luck to everyone who is trying to pre-order!
Re: Ori Dev Goes "Fully Independent" Following Private Division Sale
@Cathalm I can't remember if it was reported here but there was a good write up on gamesbeat in March 2022 with even some receipts on how Thomas Mahler and Gennadiy Korol are generally terrible people.
Re: Switch System Update 19.0.0 Is Apparently Causing Some Issues
@Joeynator3000 same here. I need to keep the screen on my switch for things to download half the time now.
Re: Yakuza Kiwami Dev Confirms Physical Switch Release
The game is listed as being 22.9 GB so I wonder if the entire game will be on the card. Hopefully but I kinda doubt it.
Re: Nintendo Expands Switch Online's GBA Library With Two More Titles
I really liked both of these games so I'm glad they're coming, but I'm mainly shocked they remembered that f zero climax exists. I remember it having alot of English already in it, but I wonder if they did anything more (probably not but I can dream).
Re: Tactical RPG 'Demonschool' Has Been Delayed Yet Again
Man, I was looking forward to this. But, if the delay makes the game better, I can't really complain.
Re: Ys X: Nordics Lands On Switch In The West This October
More Ys is always a good thing. I need to try out that demo that's been on the Japanese eshop for ages to see how it runs, but I'm pretty sure it ran decent on the switch.
Re: Gruesome Tactical RPG 'Demonschool' Finally Gets A Switch Release Date In September
I remember seeing this game first at SGF last year and I'm stoked it's finally coming out. Also on switch the same time as steam so I'm happy about that.
Re: Poll: So, How Would You Rate The Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase?
I'd say like a 7.5. No big hitter but penny's big breakaway and pocket card jockey are two games I definitely am interested in.
Re: Poll: What Did You Think Of The Demo For Mario Vs. Donkey Kong?
I played this game a ton when I was younger and still have the cartridge, but I'll buy it again here. Took a little bit to get used to this type of mario over something like wonder.
Re: Sonic's New 3D Game Will Reportedly Remain "Exclusive To Apple Arcade"

Re: Round Up: The Reviews Are In For Super Mario Bros. Wonder
I'm just glad the reviews say it's not just another "new" mario bros game with a different coat of paint. This and spiderman will make Friday a fun day.
Re: Super Mario Bros. Wonder Leaked Online Ahead Of Next Week's Release
I did see one early leak of an early level and I gotta say, if I didn't pre-order this game already, I would have now.
But seriously, the next console is going to have security measures out the ass to prevent this stuff.
Re: Round Up: The Final Previews Are In For Super Mario Bros. Wonder
I doubt they'll do a demo but I really want one to make the wait slightly easier.
Re: 3DS And Wii U Online Support Ends In "Early April 2024"
Just out of curiosity, are there modded/fan run servers for 3DS games? Some game will be the modern phantasy star 1 on gamecube.
Re: Poll: What Did You Think Of The Nintendo Direct, Then?
I think it was solid considering we're expecting new hardware next year. Like, I'm not sure if it would be good if this was a 2019 direct but for the end of 2023, it's enough to keep me playing my switch into next year.
Re: Nintendo Expands Switch Online's Game Boy Color, SNES & NES Library With Four More Games
Is this the weirdest drop of NSO titles ever? Because it's pretty weird.
Re: Poll: Bomb Rush Cyberfunk Is Out On Switch Today, Will You Be Getting It?
Depends on the reviews for me, but, if it's as good as I hope, I'll probably be buying it day 1.
Alot of competition though with baldur's gate, armored core 6, Sea of Stars, Blasphemous 2, and Starfield all coming out very soon though.
Re: Gallery: Here's A Look At The Gorgeous Xenoblade Chronicles Original Soundtrack Trinity Box
Man, I can't wait for mine to come in with the xenoblade 3 limited edition CD set with the replica flutes. Just waiting on that shipping notification.
Re: Baldur's Gate 3 Surpasses Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom As 2023's Highest-Rated Game
Re: Nintendo Direct Showcase Confirmed For Tomorrow, 21st June
I wonder what's going to be here as Pikmin 4 is the only dated Nintendo game. Hopefully those rumors other are correct!
Re: Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Has Surpassed 10 Million Sales In Three Days
10 million copies in 3 days for a $70 game (that isn't two versions like Pokémon) is insane. But man, I'm loving TotK.
Re: Hollow Knight: Silksong No Longer Releasing In The First Half Of 2023
Doesn't the first half of 2023 end in less than a month? Or is June still first half?
Re: Hands On: Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Indulges Your Idiocy In The Very Best Way
Sounds good so far. I've seen some people complain about the controls, although being dropped into the game probably makes it hard to pick up everything at once as opposed to a gradual process of learning the controls.
Re: Round Up: The Reviews Are In For Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp
I've been waiting for a new advance wars game since 2008 and, even though this is a remake, I don't think I can be more hyped for a game. Then, with jedi survivor and tears of the kingdom being just around the corner, 2023 is shaping up to be insane.
Re: Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom's Final Pre-Launch Trailer Is Absolutely Stunning
... I need to take some time off work when this game comes out. This trailer was insane.
Re: Poll: Did You Use Motion Controls In Mario Kart Wii?
Once I got that monster hunter tri classic controller with the actual handles, it was my go to wii controller for games that supported button controls. It was much easier getting the staff ghosts for the mario Mii costume with that controller.
Re: Review: The Legend Of Heroes: Trails To Azure - Crossbell's Conclusion Is A Cracking RPG
One of my favorite video game stories ever. Glad to get to play it again without having to patch a weird Chinese copy I had to buy.
Re: Poll: Would You Pay $70 For The Legend Of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom?
I pre-ordered the physical version a long time ago, but I would pay $70 if I had to. Now, those mario sports games are another thing entirely.
Re: Goldeneye 007 Shoots Its Way Onto Nintendo Switch Online This Week
I thought they were going to wait for the Xbox direct showcase later today, but I guess Nintendo just said "that doesn't work for me, brother."
Re: Review: The Legend Of Heroes: Trails From Zero - A Stellar RPG And A Stand-Out In Falcom's Storied Saga
Played this on PC with the fan translation, but I might go through it again on switch. The sequel, trails to Azure is even better in my opinion.
Re: Nintendo Reveals Colourful Pokémon Themed Switch OLED
Like the splatoon 3 switch, I kinda wish they just sold the joycon separately. Also, I wonder if this means BOTW2 is getting a special edition oled, because my wallet is going to hate me if there is one.
Re: Evercade NXT Handheld Will Come Bundled With 18 Classic Capcom Titles
I wasn't expecting much for something that was being billed as "bonus content" but capcom games built in is a pretty good pack in. Not that I needed another excuse to play megaman 2 and X again.
Re: Custom Robo And Its Sequel Join Japan's Switch Online Service Next Week
I played a fan translation of custom robo v1 and it was pretty good, but finding out where to go between battles without English is going to be a pain.
