Re: Editorial: Mandatory Memory Cards for Switch Retail Games is a Messy Solution

luigifan624

@MarcelRguez you keep throwing out 32GB as the biggest MicroSd card for the Switch. I have a 64GB in my Switch right now, which is just a place holder until I go buy a bigger one.

And in reference to what you said directed towards me. I take all that into consideration, and in a perfect gaming world this whole thing wouldn't be an issue. But since it is something we are faced with, the solution is a fairly simple one, which is why I don't understand the outlash. Would I be a little miffed about it if I didn't already have a card inserted and needed one? No, because i was already in the mindset of buying one for when and if that VC (fingers crossed) comes out also for the games I planned to buy digitally

Re: Editorial: Mandatory Memory Cards for Switch Retail Games is a Messy Solution

luigifan624

@Crono1973 Granted, but we all as gamers drop $60 and up a pop for games but are going to cry about needing a microSd card. My phone, tablets, etc if it has the slot for an sdcard you better believe there's one in there. Why? Because i ever know when i'll need extra storage. Im not up here kicking down Samsung's door. Its just the way of electronics nowadays.

Re: Editorial: Mandatory Memory Cards for Switch Retail Games is a Messy Solution

luigifan624

Ok everyone is up on arms about needing a microSD card to play a game on Switch. Needing extra memory to play games is nothing new, hence the "MANDATORY INSTALLS" of the Xbox 360, PS3, Xbox One and PS4, but nobody bats an eyelash. Let's be honest, who all that are raising this fuss are REALLY going to be playing NBA 2K18? I know I won't be, not because of needing a sdcard bit because I don't like basketball. Also people busting out pitchforks and torches, 1. Sports games have always been beast when it comes to needing more memory. 2. Who's to to say that this isn't the only game that'll require the sdcard, even if it isn't just go buy the biggest one you can find on the market. And problem solved, its not that big of a deal that everyone is trying to make out to be

Re: Guide: Where to Pre-Order Your Super NES Classic Edition

luigifan624

If NOA doesn't let the US do preorders and pretty much leave us to the greedy hands of scalpers, they might as well never announce anything like this again. I'm sorry some of us have to adult have the luxury of camping out at Best buy, Game stop, or Toys r us for 3 hours the day of release

Re: Limited Stock Brings Out the Inevitable NES Mini Scalpers

luigifan624

Its the amiibo situation all over again. These things are all on ebay for like $300. For all that save it for the people that will actually PLAY IT. So it's either wait it out for whenever the restock hits, and we all know how well that went with amiibo, or succumb to the scalpers

Re: Nintendo Download: 10th November (North America)

luigifan624

I just picked up the physical copy of Skytree Village. Which is my 5th game bought in 5 days, I dabbled in it a little last night had to pull myself from SAO:Hollow Realization. And getting Pokémon and Moon next week. So many games, so little time.

'Tis the season.....to go broke

Re: Rumour: Bayonetta And Cloud amiibo Delayed Until Release Of Super Smash Bros. On Switch

luigifan624

@Undead_terror Since it's a port of Smash, then hopefully all the DLC bought should transfer over via your NNID.

I care not for an amiibo for emo-identity crisis having-about as much personality as a stump (well I don't want to insult the stump)-couldn't pick up the signals of a woman liking you even if she was wearing a shirt that said "I love you"-obviously over compensating with that sword.......ahem excuse I'm sorry. I'm meant Cloud. Just give me Daisy in Smash, we FINALLY got her amiibo and she's the only princess not on the roster

Re: Rumour: Last Wii U Consoles Roll Off The Production Line This Week

luigifan624

@gcunit I mispoke. I didn't mean that the nes and such needs updating, but all the current consoles. Like right now I can go home and start playing my nes, snes, Genesis, dreamcast with no problem. But day 10+ years down the line I'm feeling nostalgic and come across a ps4, Xbox one, get it home go to fire it up and get that screen that says it needs an update to continue to be played. And of course they have been long forgotten

Re: Nintendo's Christmas Gift Guide Is Live

luigifan624

Will someone please tell me when and if or who is doing pre-orders for the NES Classic Mini. I don't want to be left to the fact of trying to track one down the day they come out because I'm busy being an adult, and having to be at work.

Re: One-On-One Battles Could Come To Pokémon GO In The Future

luigifan624

This isn't my main concern. I'm all for being patient and waiting for trading, one on one battles, etc. My concern is, well I'm not going to sugarcoat it, I recently started using a "certain" map to aid in catching pokemoney. Once said map loads up the default area shown is just over saturated with Pokémon, common and rare. So I punch in my area....not so much. Even the most productive area to catch pokemon near me pales in comparison. The idea of pokemon is to catch them all (and battle), but how can you catch them all when all of them aren't available to do so. I say share the wealth. Also what happens when gen 2 is released, do they take over the gen 1 making them no longer available. So if you missed out on a certain pokemon...tough luck.

Re: Nintendo Appears at Apple Conference to Announce Super Mario Run

luigifan624

Ok I'm at work and can't read all the comments thoroughly, but scrolling down all I see are "goodbye nintendo" etc. Someone explain to me how a endless runner game spells Nintendo's end? I can see if this was the next big Mario game that would be coming out, then i might be worried.
We all know how well runner games hold up, I won't be surprised if it's hype dies quicker than Miitomo. But again with all the knockoffs on the iTunes and Google play store, it's nice to have an official Nintendo product on a mobile device. But wait, isn't this what people have been asking for anyway?

Re: Wall Street Journal Reports That Nintendo NX Will Indeed Use Flash-Based Game Cards

luigifan624

@Bruh You are absolutely right. cough*motioncontrols*cough

I for one welcome back cartridges, after not being able to buy a game and quickly pop it in and play a bit before I have to go adult, because of mandatory installs, this is welcomed. And for those who feel that a cartridge can't hold as much as a CD you might want to go pay a visit to an electronics store and take a look at some micro SD cards and just see how big they are up to now

Re: Guide: Pokémon GO Monster Types And Where To Find Them

luigifan624

@pokemasterrrrr My good sir, surely your not suggesting that someone cheat. Especially with a name such as yours. But in all seriousness, using hacks like that is what turns me off from games like this. People would rather do that than progress under their own merits.

Although not sure how 100% accurate this list is. I caught a Grimer by a steel factory, a Voltorb inside a Gamestop. Although it could've been lured there by the Tmobile store that had a Lure activated, but all they were getting were Drowsees. I did snag a Seadra and Jynx right outside an IT college, but they were using a Lure too.

Re: Feature: What Are Your Thoughts, So Far, on Pokémon GO?

luigifan624

This game is crazy. Like I had tweeted out if Nintendo's plan with this was to get people up off the couch and outside I will say is a very good success. Last night I left the house about 10, on what was supposed to be just a short walk. I ended up going to this one area away from my house and about 30 people were out late playing Pokemon. And I never got back home until about after 12:30 a.m. and the thing is if people are out in droves now playing this game like this just wait till they add PVP

Re: Guide: Giving Your Trainer The Perfect Start In Pokémon GO

luigifan624

@Fandabidozi when you go to battle at the gym you will be given the opportunity to make a team of six Pokémon to aid you in the battle. You may not use them all but still. Once you win you will be able to choose which Pokémon you want to represent you as you are now the gym leader. If any of your Pokémon fainted during the battle you will have to revive them before placing them in the gym, also giving full health won't hurt either. But the Pokemon you choose to put there will no longer be in your lineup, until someone beats it then it'll be returned to you
