We lost one of our original players a couple of years ago, the rest of us have planned a long weekend where completing this remaster is the main priority, it's gonna be a sad start but he'll definitely be in our minds all the way.
I'm kinda hoping it'll be playable with a gcn adapter and gba's, we still got ours and cables to go with them.
I have a huge backlog so I can live with a slight delay.
The Steam key is awesome, they didn't have to give those away, and I were already considering getting a Steam version to see how purdy it'll look on a 2080ti
I have my entire amiibo Collection copied to nfc chips and placed in coin protectors, it took forever to print and cut the inserts I made but now they're real purdy..
Also now I have two sleeves with amiibo coins that are easy to carry with me and a lot less of a hassle when going through a BotW amiibo loot session (I have ALL Zelda Amiibos, and it sucked going through them to all as there's quite a lot of them now and they take up a lot of space)
I love this game on pc and it is a true 7/10 (meaning on the Nintendolife scale it should be a 9, considering the games that have gotten a 7 in the past here).
And in all the hours I've played this game, not once have I though the visual were lacking or disappointing.
There's a lot of mods for the pc version, mods like endless expeditions and such.
Bottomline: coming from the pc version, I highly recommend this game.
Don't know if I missed it or if Nintendolife forgot to follow up on the Levi's X Super Mario.. There's more things in that line up I'd want than this, too bad I missed the launch and the things I wanted are sold out (in my size at least)..
Not sure but I think my most valuable game is my SNES X ZONE PAL version, I've been offered silly amounts for that game (compared to how good I feel the game is)..
I've been looking for a replacement monitor for my itx pc that I'm hauling around, this could be it.. Just need to find a local shop that carries it (though a 2560x1440 would be preferable @ 144Hz)
I use Dolphin VR and a gcn controller, a Steam controller or Wiimote.. Though wiimotes aren't that great when you can't see your sensor bar (hence the Steam controller).
I currently have a Valve Index, but I did all my trial and error stuff (and most of my playthroughs) with a Vive shortly after launch.
I started with
HTC Vive i7 4790k GTX 970 16gb DDR3
And most games were playable @ 3x - 4x internal res (barely, but graphically 3x is minimum for me)
I now have Index i9 9900k RTX 2080Ti 64gb DDR4 (I'm not crazy, I was just unaware of a "double up on RAM" promotion the shop was doing)
I'm @ 8x in many games (I don't think I've played any wii games on this rig, except Xenoblade Chronicles which was @ 6x or 7x with HD textures, culling and mods)
In wind waker I can render all Items outside the normal viewport and run a hd texture pack @ 8x internal res. It's quite breath taking, especially considering how old the game is. Most importantly I'm running it at a somewhat Nendoroid scale.
I need a proper Ninty hmd, 6dof and minimum PSVR resolution.
I'm almost through my GCN and Wii catalog of games (that are currently able to play properly) in VR, I can't truly explain how great Wind Waker, Super Mario Galaxy and Zack & Wiki are in VR (and a ton of others too)..
I've never really been a Kirby fan, but my kids have been playing Triple Deluxe this year. Meaning I've completed several Kirby games this year (TD and the Wii games)..
If only they'd add an extra shoulder button in these new releases, I'd buy at least 2 new ones to use as pro controllers It's not crazy to have 9 functioning GC controller.. is it?
You're niche!! runs away awkwardly, slamming every door behind me 😁
PSVR is such a pukefest compared to the other VR kits out there, launched with games that did everything that's bad if you're slightly prone to sim sickness.
It did get some people hooked on VR, but it has scared a ton more away.
HL:A will do wonders for VR adoption (it kinda already have), and Boneworks will help raise the hype level until release.
On a sidenote; I'm still waiting for the day when the majority of gamers and devs realise that VR doesn't have to be first person. It's sad that the short Mythos of the World Axis demo, from the DK days, haven't been surpassed yet by anything in that genre
I enjoyed Chaos Engine back in the day, lots of hours with my older brother went into that game..
GODS.. It's probably the worst game in my SNES collections (and for sure the only one I never completed), the remake looks as bad as the old one played.. I was dumbfounded when the remake was announced..
The game I want to see remade the most from their portfolio is Z. That game was well made, challenging, addictive and seriously fun
I already have good ole' pink Kirby (which also includes Fire Kirby and Sword Kirby and 4 faces), Meta Knight.
If I'm buying more nendoroid from the Kirby series, it'll be the Robobot suit (though I can't seem to find it without kirby included) or hopefully they'll make other characters such as Waddle-Dee or King Dedede.
I really like how they made these figure with magnets, so arms and legs can be positioned however you like.
"So what if the said leaker received 50K to 100K for leaking such content to publications or YouTubers? 10K fine plus ban is enough?"
Of course not, that's just silly, if he made any money from it the fine should be larger than whatever he made, and it makes the whole deal worse than 'just' posting pics or info on some forum.
"What if he was paid by Fortnite rival game/company to spy on them? Etc."
Then it's corporate espionage, and not just a dweeb craving internet points.
Imo ~33% of yearly income could be reasonable (depending on a lot of things).
I don't see a ban as a serious consequence, there needs to be a punishment that both deter others and can be felt by the culprit. $10k falls around there, when you're dealing with regular people.
Reasonable might not come in to play when it pertains to corporations, but PR do come into play and this lumps Epic into the "heartless corporation" group whose members act excessively greedy and without any heart or soul 'because they can'
I totally agree that people breaking their nda's (or any contract they've willfully signed) should suffer the consequences.. But... The amount of $$$ they ask for seems excessive, yearly income and other factors should play a role, it's not like Epic lost a ton of dollarinos on this, so they have a hole they desperately need to fill.
There's a line, and it isn't thin, between what a resonable consequence is and ruining lifes for many years to come
I'm hoping this will be as good as Bloody Roar was (which hit the same buttons for me as OG Killer instinct did) , it looks promising though..
@Heavyarms55 an action rpg of My Hero Academia would have so much more potential than a brawler. It would also be interesting to see what PlatinumGames could do with the IP
I tried multiple times to get through the game, but the cutscenes were too much for me.. I've played some cringey games, but this is the only game that have had me insulting my tv and turning of my console..
I managed to get through it after getting a jp version, made it possible for me to ignore most of the dialogue or improved it to a point where it was bearable..
Gameplay was, and still is, beyond solid.
This new cutscene: 👍
(also running in 4k on my pc it's absolutely gorgeous)
Great game, but I won't be double dipping.. It's too short to warrant a second purchase, for me at least, but I strongly recommend it to those who haven't already bought it.
The most positive for me is that I could actually get these shipped to Denmark (and I did), I haven't been able to get physical rewards, without traveling to the uk, since the 90's.. It's awesome that rewards can be shipped to the Nordic countries now
Botw is kinda the same, ie. Japan has the best one the biggest difference is that US got one that is only slightly worse and EU got something that should have been in the trash.. and a fugly icon that matches..
I already have 2 Switches, I think I have to wait it out a bit (though the extra battery life would be nice for how much I play in hh mode), I don't feel the need to repeat my 3ds history.. Got a 3ds xl, then bought a New 3ds xl when they launched and couldn't help myself from getting one more New 3ds xl when the SNES version popped up..
